I think HC took some big liberties with their description of amenities, and they completely misrepresented the beach access of our condo. The final straw for me is that they charged my card (without warning) two weeks AFTER our trip - stating a change in GA tax law that went into effect a month prior to our trip. I'm not sure why that wasn't charged prior to our trip, when it actually "went into effect," but their accounting error shouldn't be my problem. Their unfettered access to my credit card information, and readiness to charge it, now leaves me feeling pretty unsettled.

They show their screened in porch which was important to me since we were bringing our dog. The screens are in desperate need of repair, especially the lower one's. One big push and my dog could have easily broken free. Portions of the porch floor are rotted to the point that if you step too hard you feel like you could break through. The patio furniture was filthy. For a screened in porch you would think that they could have at least wiped the chairs and table down prior to our arrival. As soon as you walk in the house the smell of mold hits you. I looked up at the ceiling in the living room and right next to a vent above the couch was very noticeable mold. It was awful breathing that in. It being next to a vent spread the smell everywhere. The TV in the living room did not work at all. The little fenced in back yard was completely flooded and unusable. Someone from the rental company came out to look at the TV and had no idea if the problem was the remote or the TV itself. They offered to replace it but it could take a while. I didn't want to be trapped in that house any longer breathing in that mold while someone tried to replace it. When I pointed out the mold, he said, "yeah, rain can do that." No, sir, neglect can do that. It rains on my roof and I don't have mold in my house. For the money they charge they should take better care of their properties. I will never go back or use them again. P.S. There was construction of a new house going on right across the street which was very noisy. Would have been nice to know before we arrived. It drove my dog crazy.

These condos are privately owned and can be rented through VRBO; some cheaper than others. So far we have stayed in 2 different units, and have enjoyed both. Amenities at Ocean Walk include 2 pools (1 heated), walking trails, ponds, and tennis courts. I recommend this as a place to stay if you have pets and need to get away, or you just need a weekend in paradise.

We stayed in B-4, which is an older 3 bedroom 2 1/2 bath condo. It has beautiful wood floors on the first floor. The master was large with the bath attached. Two other rooms, one had a queen the other two full size beds. Very comfortable and clean. There is access to a great pool, work out facilities and they even have an outdoor ping pong table next to a rope swing (which our kids enjoyed). It's only about 1/2 mike walk to the pier which was nice because it can be difficult to find a parking spot down at the pier. Although not located on the beach, it's not far from many of the more popular beach spots. I really enjoy it and will likely stay here again if available.

One of which was out of order during our stay. At the pool most of the lounge chairs were "claimed" by beach towels. Not really the condos issue but I may as well mention how interesting the beach is. It's a bit of a trek to the actual beach through a marsh like area there's even a large tide pool, which stinks!! The home is very large and we had our entire families and some close friends here for our wedding. The adults and children absolutely loved it. This home has so many unique features that it would be difficult to pin point just one thing that sets it apart. I loved the architecture. Others fell in love with the decor. We all enjoyed the courtyard entertainment area with infinity edge pool and spa. The Hibachi grill was such a fun way to prepare meals on the covered veranda. There is enough space to be able to enjoy coming together as a group, but also to enjoy the privacy and beauty of this world class home. Everything worked flawlessly. The only issue we had was with the management company. A gentleman showed up on our last day there with his dog and did a walk through of the property. His dog urinated twice on the veranda and he then accused us of having a pet there because his dog never does that unless there is another animal nearby. Really?!?!?! We had no pets or animals of any sort, and we had cleaned the home to a standard higher than when we received it. We also experienced a lack of what I would consider normal toiletries, but I wouldn't have even mentioned it had I not read it in a previous comment from another guest. Overall, I believe this to be the most impressive home we have stayed in. Everything was fantastic with the exception of our one interaction with the management company. The views are breath taking, the home and amenities are fabulous. If you are considering staying here, you should watch the video tour on YouTube. I hope the owner's see this and I hope they have changed management companies. A property this spectacular shouldn't be negatively impacted by the people who are supposed to be taking care of the details.
