Gated Oceanfront condos with private beach access. We stayed in room # 334, which is a one bedroom one bath unit. Overall it was okay, clean but a tad dated, especially the kitchen and laundry area. The bed was extra firm, not comfortable at all. However the kitchen was well stocked with dining utensils and cookware. Check in was seamless with keyless entry locks. The condominium complex is a U shape, with a middle courtyard that leads out to the pool and private beach access. In the courtyard is a fountain and two hot tubs. One of which was out of order during our stay. At the pool most of the lounge chairs were "claimed" by beach towels. Not really the condos issue but I may as well mention how interesting the beach is. It's a bit of a trek to the actual beach through a marsh like area there's even a large tide pool, which stinks!! The ocean water appeared brown and murky, so I passed on getting in. Also someone stole my shoes. Smh. read more

The staff is amazing. They are so efficient and nice. I want to especially give a shout out to Clyde and William who work the desk. Talk about superior customer service! The beds are so very comfortable and the towels are large and fluffy. I was here last year and returned this year. I highly recommend this hotel. The pool is beautiful and the fire pit is great at night. My favorite thing is the large swing under the live oaks. What a perfect spot for reading. read more

Unit 119 has the worst bed (master) I have ever laid upon. The bed is hard as a rock, and feels like a mail order memory foam that went terribly wrong. The air conditioning in the entire complex is sub standard. Whoever designed the air handling systems in this place apparently only wanted Roy give a hint of air cooling to the residents. Too bad, because the setting and SSI is a wonderful place (but way to commercial than it used to be). read more

We didn't stay at this resort but we stayed at the "Sea Palms" and it came with complimentary passes to the "Beach Club" so we could have access to the beach and their amenities. We were disappointed the resort doesn't have a bar, or a restaurant. We were shocked that a beach resort doesn't offer food or drinks. The next day we brought a cooler with food and drinks. I have never seen a "resort" that doesn't offer onsite dining or drinks. The pool was pretty but VERY small. read more

I just completed an extended stay at the Beach Club and I really loved my stay there. I was in unit that was perfect for me. It's a 2 bedroom with living room and kitchen. There is a large pool on the property with chairs, tables, charcoal grills, bathrooms and access to the beach if you want to go to the ocean. There are also 2 hot tubs in the center of the complex and a small workout room. There is a tennis court that was tapped off for pickle ball. The building is located in walking distance to a bike rental, liquor store, a great bbq place called the Beach Comber, 2 seafood places, and a few other restaurants and the King & Prince hotel that has a great brunch. The only issue was the parking outside lot got filled up during the weekends after April and then for spring break and the 4th of July, but it wasn't a big deal. There is also covered parking under the building. The grounds are very well kept and the front office staff are very nice. I rented through Alyce Dillon from alycedilloncrew.com. This used to be a great place to stay. In fact, it was so great that we came back twice in 2018. Since then, the beach has basically become so large due to erosion and sand deposits that you really may as well stay three streets back and use a public access. I'm not kidding - it is an eternal walk from the pool to the ocean, littered with extremely hot sand, a nasty permanent tide pool that stinks, and some kind of animal feces everywhere. My kids cried on the treks to and from both times because it was so long, hot, and smelly. Our unit's beds are hard as rocks; two of the TVs don't work; Hodnett Cooper accidentally booked us in a place we couldn't actually stay in... sadly I don't think we will be back to the Beach Club or with Hodnett Cooper. read more

Great place to stay with a family or by yourself. Each condo is privately owned so every one is a bit different. All units have 2 bedrooms (1 master & 1 w/ 2 twin beds). full kitchen, washer dryer in unit (key!!), 2 full baths, living room, dining area, and balcony. If possible, try to get a balcony that either 1) faces the beach or 2) faces the inside of the property. The property building is shaped like a U, so the inside of the U has the fountain, greenery, and the spas. The property has: 2 spas, pool, lounge area for laying out, grass area, bbq area, private gate to the beach, bikes for rent, gym, office room, tennis courts, parking spot, small gathering room for private events, 2 grassy pet areas, and gated access from the road, pedestrian path, and the beach. Close to restaurants, liquor stores, beach, shops, and the small "downtown" area. Highly recommend staying here. As mentioned before, Hodnett Cooper is a great vacation rental company to go through. Decent Condo property. The "two hot tubs".... Broken! One has jets that work and little to no heat. The other has heat and the jets won't work. Very frustrating. People want what they pay for and it seems to me that they are trying to save $ by not properly servicing the "amenities". read more

We've stayed at the K&P when visiting St. Simon's each year, so this was a nice change. When arriving, you have to know your room code, the gate code, the beach gate code, etc. b/c there is no key to the room. We stayed in room 435 which was recently renovated. The room was stinky upon arrival (not out of the ordinary), but I bought a glade plug in and it took the stink away. Kitchen was well stocked, big screen tv in the sitting area. Rooms were nice: Masterbed and guest room with 2 twin beds. The entire unit was very clean. Beach access was easy. There is a trash chute for small bag disposal which is very convenient! There were some issues (check out my photos) that were unacceptable to picky old me (loss of a star). If the property managers take care of them, I'd definitely want to stay here again, though! A tip; when you book at a large vacation rental property like this, do your research on the condo you book. For the most part, they are individually owned/decorated even though they are apart of a "complex." It's up to you to do your research, because you may end up with something less desirable. Also, you get what you pay for sometimes. If you notice the condo is ALOT cheaper than average, you may want to skip it. There's usually a reason. read more

Great place to stay! I lived here for 5 months and it was nice, quite and busy when it needed to be. Fun feeling on the weekends and quite during the week. The BC is on the best part of the Beach for Saint Simons Island. There are quite a few nicer places to stay at for the same amount on the island but nothing with the locations and amenities that the BC offers. Great place to stay on the island! Seems very family oriented, but as a group of 30-somethings, with no children, we still had a lovely time! In a great location, you can easily walk less than 1/2 mile to a few different restaurants. The pool is a nice size with plenty of lounge chairs set up all around. The condo staff was always pleasant, friendly, and helpful (especially if you forgot the code). That is something I had to get used to. There is a code for the front gate, pool bathroom, beach gate, and room. So be pre-pared to memorize some codes folks, you'll need them to get around. Grills are located by the pool, great afternoon BBQ spot. There is one tennis court and a couple of hot tubs. Basically I found that all your Beach needs would be met at The Beach Club! read more

This place is very clean the staff is very friendly. All the gates are number codes so it keeps out all non guest out. They rent out bikes which is nice. Cheaper than any other bike place on the island. The beach club is well kept and a beautiful place to stay read more

Quiet, beautiful, and spacious. We got a 2 bedroom 2 bath and it was more than we expected. Both rooms had access to the balcony and since the building is horseshoe shaped, everyone on the inner side has a view of the ocean. The lounge chairs by the pool aren't the hard/plastic slat types. Instead, they're mesh-like and easy to lounge into for hours at a time. The other guests were nice and respectful of everyone. One lady came out with her little boombox and said "it county alright with ya'll" and played it on low which was endearing. The only thing I could say that I wish was different is that the hot tubs (there are two) were open later. They close at dusk. From our interactions, I doubt anyone would care if you went in there after dark, but I'm a stickler for rules and didn't want to cause waves (PUN INTENDED). Altogether, amazing trip, sweet folks in the office, and sweet folks by the pool. Would definitely recommend as a place to get away from the hustle and bustle of life. read more

Excellent place to stay! Right on the beach, pool, baby pool, 2 hot tubs, bike rental on sight, computer room, game room, fitness center, tennis courts, bathrooms by the pool, covered parking and 3 elevators up to your floor. Gated with code access from street and beach as well as to the bathrooms. (Don't forget your code when you go to the beach). You can bike anywhere from there and Barry's Beach service (unrelated) rents chairs, umbrellas, sail boats, kayaks and very interesting beach bikes on the beach in front of this hotel. A public park/playgrounds, great BBQ and the Crab Trap are all walking distance away. Don't use the Phone number listed out there and assume that that is the main number and all have different numbers. There are at least 3 management companies renting units. In most cases I think all of them let you pick which room/unit you want to stay in. We used Real Escapes Properties and feel they are the best (800-634-1667). We picked 306 from the pictures on the web page and it looked exactly the same when we got there. This unit has a bunk bed and a single in the second bedroom which is great for our 3 kids. No one has to sleep in the pull-out couch. There is a full kitchen in every unit, but look closely because some are not as updated as others. Also has washer/dryer. This makes packing easier. Don't miss the landscaping on the property. The hot tubs are surrounded by palm trees and tropical looking plants that are unbelievably manicured. I loved my stay at beach club. The condo I was in was beautiful and updated. Exceptionally clean. I rented from SSIrentals. My condo had a TV in every room, which was great. Also, the owner provided Beach towels to use. The kitchen had all necessary cookware. New appliances and the floors were high end stone or tile (no carpets- I do not like carpets on the beach). Great place to stay on saint simons. Clean and convenient to the village. Some of the units are a little dated but all in all a good beach view with a nice pool. Parking is a little interesting if you have a large car. read more
