My office experience while waiting to see the doctor was great and my wait to see my doctor was very good......

Ruined my life....Live in constant pain........Busted foot...broken ankle...over many months of no care...my body twisted and turned....nerve damage up my leg....Now my back is a 12t. Compound fracture due to the trauma...A specialist stated if they had of gotten to my back sooner I could have had a different out come........Disgracefully behavior on the point of theses doctors.....Patty Attaway runs the show for all doctors within Georgia Bone and Joint formally owned and operated by Pine Mountain........You can not substitute quality care..honesty..Too low for even one star.. read more

Dr. Kessler operates in a poor and unprofessional manor. He makes you feel less than welcome and important to his day. Took me 45 minutes waiting to see him, he took 3 minutes with me and was done. Would not recommend him to anyone. Staff was hot and cold - no consistency with who you get. read more

Very rude on the phone and it's apparent who ever works the front desk hates their life. Called 3 times and when someone answered the first time they hung up on me and didn't bother calling me back. And then I called back another time no one answered and then the 3rd time I reached out they had me on hold and it took an hour to get an appointment. Just based on the customer service skills that the front desk employees have, I have no interest in coming back. Also the doctor I saw was rude as well, and acted very high and mighty. read more

Customer service is a thing of the past. I have an elderly relative who can no longer drive, yesterday I took her to the doctor to get an injection that she needs for osteoporosis. The last time I took her we went to the Piedmont Newnan Hospital and were there for a total of 10 minutes. The hospital for whatever reason decided to stop providing this service so she was referred to the Newnan Georgia Bone and Joint. (GBJ) When she was finally called back I expected her to be in and out quickly. She was in the back for an hour. Others came in after her left before her. And when she came out she told me that she didn't get her injection. The Doctor wanted bloodwork done first and then she had to call the pharmaceutical company to pay for the medication and have them send it to GBJ before they could give it to her. (I guess it is expensive) Now GBJ in Newnan is a large building with 3 floors and multiple doctor's offices but guess what? They can't do lab work there. We had to go down the street to Walgreens and let Labcorp do it. Of course, they were out to lunch so we had to sit there for an hour. And we still have to go back later to get the injection. Nobody tells her any of this until we're at GBJ expecting an injection. Update: 3 weeks later: My relative had an appointment with GBJ today. They even called to remind her. She asked what the appointment was for and the caller told her she didn't have that information. So today we went to her appointment thinking that she was going to get her injection. After showing up and waiting for nearly 30 minutes she was called to the back only to be told that her medicine had not arrived. We went home without the injection again. read more

I took my mother in for sudden on-set knee pain. The staff was very friendly and they took her ahead of schedule. Unfortunately, the positives ended there. Dr. Gruber arrived and just as another review has stated, he was arrogant, condescending, no bedside manner, borderline rude and a poor listener. He was not respectful at all to my 87 year old mother. He did not introduce himself and within minutes was suggesting an 87 year old woman have knee replacement surgery. He knew nothing about her health background, lifestlyle and the only question he asked was, "are you diabetic?" To which she responded, "no." A few moments later, he said, "since you are diabetic, right?" He did not even listen to her when she answer his very few questions. He chastised her for using a wheelchair to get from the parking lot to their second floor office when she could barely bear weight on her leg! That is why she was there in the first place! When she asked him a question, he cut her off several times. Family members have seen other doctors in this practice that are much better and were appalled when I shared how Dr. Gruber treated my mother. I highly recommend finding another choice. read more

I was seen at Georgia Bone and Joint for a broken bone in my foot in August. I was content with the treatment I received, however, they sent me to their cast department for a pneumatic walking boot. When I received the bill the charge for the Pneumatic walking boot was $413. I went to Amazon and the EXACT SAME boot (New) was less than $100. When I called the billing office they said there was "nothing they could do". So, buyer beware. I don't want anyone else to get "stuck" like I did. read more

They literally dropped the ball the second I left, didn't make the appointment for nerve test, gave me the number and told me to do it, then when they did call the office ordered my right leg to be tested when it was my right hand that I went for! Am I supposed to feel good about this? Will I leave with my leg gone? Very disappointed bc the appt went so well! read more

I've seen many orthopedists and have not met Dianna Bureau's (PA) equal. Besides being obsessively thorough, her willingness to listen actively is a true measure of her humanity. The staff is really nice and the doctors friendly. The only concerns are the typical ones with any doctors office, the wait time and some not reading patient files before seeing the patient. But overall they are real good and did me well. read more

money wanting people!!! they don't care about you or pain and Suffering if you own them anything they will drive you crazy crazy to get money if they owe you because of their misdiagnoses it's just O well we're not worried about it!!! they won't even try to help you out. i followed their instructions too. read more

Appointment from Hell. Zero, Zero, Zero! I have worked in healthcare for over twenty years. I was raised to treat everyone with love and respect. I took my son in for an injury. When Dr. Michael Gruber entered the room he didn't acknowledge us, so, I introduced myself. The visit quickly went from bad to worse. My son could not finish a sentence without being interrupted, I asked Dr. Gruber; if he could please listen to my son. When my son mentions specific pain he was having Dr. Gruber told him that's impossible. Dear Doctor, its impossible for you to be in my son body and know what he feels. Dr. Gruber is condescending, never made any eye contact, showed no compassion. Afterward I read additional reviews and noticed seminaries. As a mother I was furious; as a healthcare worker I was appalled. How could it be that he has gotten away with this mentality for so long. Still waiting for a call back from management. And Piedmont, why are you letting this continue? No one deserves to be treated like we were treated. read more

I have used several of these orthopedic physicians for numerous ailments. I've always been treated well with acceptable outcomes. Most importantly I love how they treated my son when he broke his arm and needed surgery to repair it. I recommend everyone at this practice. read more

Went to their extremely convenient after hours appt and saw PA Dianne who was personable yet professional. She started me on medication and told me to see a physician if the symptoms did not clear. As they indeed did not clear with the first steps I was able to make an appt the next day with Dr.McMath who took the time to explain what was happening, order an MRI of my spine. My follow up is the next week with De. Kessler for possible injection. All of this within two weeks! Everyone from the phone appointment ladies, the front desk staff to the PA's and physicians are very kind and understanding. Wonderful group! read more

Georgia Bone and Joint has been wonderful for me. They are thoughtful and informative. I have a shattered ankle that required a couple of surgeries, splintting, casting and a boot. They listened to how I was feeling and always took into account what I needed without compromising my care. I am an impatient patient and want to move it forward... Extremely long wait times (over an hour and a half), comes into room doesn't even look at you just his back is towards you while he is on his computer. Disregards your issues/complaints, arrogant, short and out he goes. Very bad bedside manners and was rushed. Prescribed wrong boot for me according to another ortho doctor I found after him. Dr. Michael Gruber botched my bunion/hammertoe surgery so badly that I now have toes that cross over each other. Finding shoes is a nightmare. When I went back to him the only thing he said to me is "You have good flexibility." Do not go to Dr. Gruber for bunion or hammertoe. You will regret it. read more

I had appointment with Dr. Cushing about my shoulder. He was wonderful. Did not jump right into surgery, said I would do better to have shots if they helped. I agree I am doing better now. He has a great personality and seems to genuinely care about my issue. I would definitely recommend Dr. Cushing. (on a different note, the only reason I did not give 5 stars, was the appt making. I realize that sometimes they get behind, but both times I was told if I was 15 minutes late I would have to reschedule and both times I waiting almost an hour past my appt time and no one even explained they were running behind. There billing process is ridiculous. One account number can house multiple bills. If you are paying on an account they only apply it to the highest amount leaving the smaller amount to roll into collections with no warning. If you have a procedure here plan on putting all the multiple charges onto a card. Avoid shady billing scams. read more

Dr. Michael Gruber stated he knew I was there to "get the needle" to remove the fluid from my knee and it's not going to happen. You need to lose a hundred pounds before I would consider helping you and I am not saying that I would help you then. I said, you realize I am in pain. He said yes I can see that your leg is very swollen but it is not going to happen. What I can do is refer you gastric bypass. My first and last visit to him. read more
