I had Georgia Mtn Towing come get me out of a ditch. It was a Sunday evening and they were very busy but came after dark and got my car out. Lucky no damage to my vehicle. I paid them and they sent me a emailed receipt. I have towing insurance but my agent requires a deatailed receipt showing the location and type of vehicle. I have been trying to get this detailed receipt since May 11,2026. Ive called, text, emailed them over and over and NO RESPONSE! They got their $$$ and I'm out mine!! I will continue till I get a response. This is NOT the way to run their business All I need is a detailed receipt. I do not recommend this due to the situation they have put me in Georgia Monuntain Towing if you read your reviews like other businesses do please get in touch with me to resolve this issue. I needed to get my pickup towed and out of the 5 tow companies that I called, they were the only company that answered the phone. He told me that he had to deliver one car and then he would come for my pickup. He said it would be 30-60 minutes. Shortly before the 60 minutes was up, he showed up and took my truck to my mechanic. Although it was only a couple of miles, he only charged me $50, which I thought was very fair. Everything went very smoothly. read more

First time traveling through Georgia mountains to get to a rented air b n b. I underestimated the extremely steep gravel road and almost caused my family and I to rollover. Neighbors in the area called Georgia Mountain towing and they came to the rescue. My car was in an extremely tricky situation and they were able to assist. They came to the rescue on a Sunday night well after working hours. At this point I didn't care how much they charged just that they got my family and I to safety. They even drove me all the way to the cabin and parked my car in a safe position for me to easily get out. I needed my moms car towed from her former home after she passed away. It had been sitting for a while and the brush had overgrown. It took them an hour just to get it out. They could have charged more for the extra work and that would have been totally understandable, but they didn't. Everyone we spoke to were extremely helpful, courteous and knowledgeable. I turned from a narrow uphill gravel mountain road onto another narrow uphill gravel mountain road. There was an industrial ruck coming over the hill towards me. I tried to move a bit to give him plenty of room and ended up sideways in a deep ditch. I called the first highly rated tow company. Unavailable. They referred me to Georgia Mountain Towing. A very kind, helpful and skilled man showed up in a very reasonable time frame. He had called me twice to check on me and give me his ETA. This man knew how to handle such a mess. I was sure the car would not be in a drivable state. He continued to assure me as he worked that it would be fine. After carefully working to ensure my car was properly and safely in the best position for the least amount of damage, he began extracting it. Within a half hour he had my car back on the road. He was polite, reassuring, extremely skillful as my vehicle was upright with minimal damage. I highly recommend this company!!! I'm very grateful for the service I received with kindness. Of course, I hope I never have to use them again. If I find myself in trouble on the mountains of Ellijay, GEORGIA MOUNTAIN TOWING will be my first call. My van was stuck at the intersection of 3 bad, gravel, single-lane, hair-pin curved, deep gullied, and rutted roads in the mountains. AAA road service said they couldn't get to us because no tow truck could possibly reach us. We were shocked, but who could blame them? How is a tow truck supposed to get to us on a single-lane road, hair-pin, winding, gravel, rutted, gullied road, put my van on it, turn around, and get out? It wasn't possible. We called the Gilmer county sheriff and corporal Rodney Sawyer managed to reach us with his AWD SUV. He called Georgia Mountain Towing. They've done this before, apparently. Two great guys managed to back up their tow truck for one mile on this horrible road and then got stuck. They couldn't advance anymore, because of slipping and a big ditch. But they got close enough for me to drive about 50 feet on my spare tire rim, onto the tow truck platform. They saved our assess and got us back to civilization. They were great, caring, and skilled beyond belied. God bless them all. Thank you. read more

I broke down it was 12 am no lights working on my car half in the road in a curve. Called these people they said they was on call for the law that night. Cops came about 2 am someone having finally reported me being g broke down. They was not on call they was just to lazy to get their butts out and work. So lazy and liars. Kind, considerate and extremely quick. After getting stuck on a gravel driveway, we called AAA. told it would be at least 2 hours so we called GA mountain towing. They were very responsive even after the other tow truck showed up. Highly recommend them. read more

They more or less totaled my car a few months back and STILL have done nothing but deny it's happenings. The most unprofessional towing company out there. they would make you pay $500 to move ya dead mamas car 10 feet. sounds like a joke but they've literally done that to people. read more

If I could enter a lower review I would. I was broke down and two guys came out. The driver was really nice the helper, Jamey was way overbearing. I felt very uncomfortable. I told him I was married and he took that as a challenge. I will never call this company again. If you are a woman, steer clear of them!!! read more

Horrific. After a death in the family, his car was towed to this location. The father and son who run this place refused to allow us to pick up the car unless we presented over $400 for a simple tow. We waited for 4 hours in the area for them to even consider opening the gate for us and eventually negotiated down to $250. What kind of sick people try to price gouge and profit off of a persons death? read more
