Went to put a contract on a new truck that was about to be delivered to this dealer "any day now". The salesman was wonderful! There was a mix up on the pricing and the salesman got permission from the manager to sell us the truck at the lower price. We signed a contract, gave a deposit, shook hands and went off to grab lunch. got a call from the salesman asking us to pop by if we were still in town. the salesman said he went to write SOLD on the file when the manager said HE just sold the truck...over the phone! Allegedly the truck was sold, the manager who turned out to be the owner said So sorry but that's how it works. We were STANDING THERE WITH CONTRACT IN HAND and he would not honor the sale. side note: we think the price being slightly below MSRP was a mistake since these trucks are selling at or above MSRP. The business is not for us. We wanted to give our business locally but ended up going to a super dealership and got a fantastic deal for a soon to be delivered truck. read more

While grocery shopping for Thanksgiving dinner, a gentleman who works for Ronnie Thompson Ford went above and beyond any expectation or standard of kindness when he purchased both my groceries and those of the gentleman ahead of me in line. I was not able to catch his name but he did tell me that he worked at the ford dealership. I write this review on the Ronnie Thompson Ford dealership website as a thank you to that gentleman, as well as to call attention to the graciousness and kindness of their staff. Perhaps this gentleman is the exception to the rule, but if his actions are the norm- I would highly encourage folks to visit this dealership for both their purchase and service needs. read more

Purchased a used 2017 Jeep Wrangler from them, that seemed great. Drove for less and a week and the issues began. Leaking coolant majorly. Spent $32,000 on a vehicle to turn around have to put a several thousand into. Definitely wouldn't go back for a purchase from there. In past 15 years have purchased 5 trucks from them. Thought was a customer for life, Last week we went to buy a ranger 4x4, got a quote from the salesman. Got there, test drove, and liked the truck. Sat down to do the deal. At that point we were advised the truck was going to cost 4,500.00 over the MSRP. Because of market adjustment. Thats Kind of a bad deal that would have to pay extra just because they had the truck. Didn't bother them at all we didn't buy the truck. Very bad attitude. If could give minus stars would read more

I scheduled an appointment for an alignment at 8am April 10th and the technician called me at 5:27 pm April 9th to cancel my appointment.

Our Ford Focus battery light came on the dashboard. The battery isn't that old, so my husband knew it probably was the alternator. Sure enough, the alternator started acting up. My husband called this Ford dealership and they got us in for service and returned the car with new alternator on the same day. Very happy with the service department and highly recommend. read more

Salesman, Eddie, sold a last year's model at "sticker price" to a 92 year old woman. She went to the dealership for service and was told the warranty on her two year old car with 55,000 miles was about to run out. The salesman suggested buying a new car, so she wrote a check. (She did not have her car title, could not find her new driver's license, and her car was full of junk.) This dealership is not the place to buy a car!!!! read more

Amazing Dealership. I live and work in Redding, California. I have been looking on line for the right F-150 for a month. I finally found it at Ronnie Thompson Ford. It was such a good deal, I flew over 2,000 miles to get it. The salesman I worked with was Jeff Burroughs and he was very knowledgeable, helpful and very, very concerned that I would get exactly what I wanted. He was outstanding to work with and took great detail in every part of the sale. Both Jeff and all the folks I met at Ronnie Thompson Ford were very professional and helpful. And, even though I live over 2,000 miles away and would probably never return to the Ellijay area again, Jeff and Ronnie Thompson Ford went out of their way to make sure I would be completely happy with the purchase. I was treated as if I were a local customer. Simply outstanding service. If you are looking for a Ford vehicle, don't waste your time looking elsewhere as this agency will do whatever it take to make you happy with the right car and perfect deal. These guys are not slippery wheeler-dealers, they are solid, genuine individuals who genuinely care about the people they serve. One visit there and you will know what I mean. Went to 3 different Ford locations. what a breath if fresh air dealing with Eddie Hensley and the finance guy heath. Im a difficult buyer...and they were awesome, courteous and no pressure people.
