Like most of us who have children. We know and love Children's Health Care of Atlanta (CHOA). This…read moreis their new Sibley Heart Center of Cardiology. After a scary EKG reading for my son, we were referred to come here. The office staff was friendly, we filled out our paperwork and then after about 30 minutes we were taken to our room and within about 5 minutes we were seen by their nurse, who was awesome (she might have been an NP). After some basic health screenings, we were then transferred to a room next door to wait for the doctor. As someone who worked in the medical field for years, one thing we always prided ourselves on was to not let patients wait long. Anything beyond 10-15 minutes was unacceptable. I kid you not, we literally waited in the doctor's room for one hour. Because of the reasons people come here, this is not the place to let a patient sit in a room for one hour... thinking why is it taking so long? Is something seriously wrong??? After asking repeatedly what was going on the first 15 minutes, then 30, 45, and finally at one hour the doctor did come in and was very apologetic. He was very sweet and reminds me of my wife's father who is a retired medical doctor and everything turned out fine. However, considering this is CHOA I honestly expect better from them with staffing. Now weeks later, we received a medical bill for over $1000 because they did not bill our insurance properly (we are in-network with UHC). I am glad CHOA is here, and of course, I would recommend them as they are incredible with children (they saved my best friend's son's life; the hospital downtown). However, staffing needs improvement and billing is another issue. [Review #619] (9th Review of 2020)

I have always felt absolutely confident in the care that he has always provided. I absolutely trust him one hundred percent with my child's heart. In addition, he has a great bedside manner. I've never felt rushed when consulting with him. He has always taken the time to answer all of my questions, and he has always been very informative. I just can't say enough positive things about him. As far as Sibley Heart Center, I've always had positive experiences with the center and the staff there.
