Zach was incredibly helpful and professional while working with this crazy bride (me) who kept forgetting details. (What's the tent size? How many chairs did I order? When will the delivery take place?) Their cost was middle of the road in comparison with the other vendors I requested quotes from and even offered me suggestions of alternatives to stay within my budget (really...? thanks for not trying to price gouge me into getting me to rent non-essentials!). They arrived promptly on time, were friendly, courteous, and in spite of a bit of a weather delay, they put up the tent in a lovely Georgia summer rainstorm. DO NOT EVER DO BUSINESS WITH THESE PEOPLE. They were so unprofessional in every way possible. We rented chairs for outdoor wedding. They lied about overbooking the chairs. When they had chairs we ordered available, they lied saying that they overbooked them saying that the chairs went to some other event. Wedding ceremony started on Saturday at 4pm. The chairs were scheduled to come and be set up by Friday (the day before the wedding) evening. But the chairs did not come until 4:30 PM ON SATURDAY, THE DAY OF THE WEDDING. The guests walked in when there were no where to sit. The guests had to set up the chairs so the ceremony can hurry and begin. Can you believe that? The chairs came past the ceremony time. SO UNPROFESSIONAL. Thus we asked for full refund, but the company ignored our phone calls and voicemails of complaints. He did not even call back later. Do not ever do business with these guys. We hosted a Cinco de Mayo party this year, and I waited to order the frozen margarita machine until two weeks before the party date. I didn't realize -- lesson learned -- that there would be absolutely NO frozen margarita machines available to rent because all were already spoken for and reserved on that date. I was so relieved when I was able to get a live person -- Anna -- at GA Party Rental, who was very pleasant and helpful. She told me that they had a double-barrel machine that was available for that day. The price they quoted me $150 + $55 delivery + tax was actually considerably less than any of the other prices the other rental places would have charged had there been availability. Since our party was scheduled for Sun., 5/5 and their office is closed on weekends, I was advised that the unit would be dropped off on Fri., 5/3. I explained that I could not be there in the morning, and Anna assured me that they could do the delivery after 12:30pm. She also promised that I would receive a call when the driver was 30 minutes from the house, so that I could leave my F/T job and get there at the same time. 12:30 came and went and no phone call, no machine. When I called at approximately 1:30 to check the status, Anna explained that they had run behind on one of their deliveries and that it would be closer to 3:30-3:45. This was actually ideal, as I was able to continue working at my office longer than originally anticipated. I confirmed once more before hanging up that we would still receive a call from the driver when they were 30 mins out and was assured, that yes, we would definitely receive that call. 3:30 came and went. 3:45 came and went. Knowing that their office closed at 5:00pm and remained closed through the weekend, at 4:00pm I called once again to check the delivery status. No answer. Called again 10 minutes later. No answer. Proceeded to call once every 5-10 mins. No answer and no machine. In a panic that we would be without one of the most important components to our party on Sunday, I was at loss on what else I might do. I decided that I would drive up to their Pilgrim Mill Rd address in Cumming in the hopes that someone might be there to assist. In order to do that, I needed to cancel a previously scheduled business dinner. Five minutes after having to explain the entire situation to my colleague, I receive a call from my husband that at 6:05pm, there are finally two people at our house with a margarita machine. They did not call as was promised, so luckily my husband was there to let them in to the house. Anna had also explained on the phone, at time of rental, that when the unit was dropped off, it would be set up and we would receive a quick how-to demo to ensure we knew how to properly use it on the day of our party. Neither of these two things took place. The only thing that occurred was that a huge industrial machine, completely wrapped in plastic was plopped in the middle of our kitchen. Enclosed were typed, but fading and barely legible in some places, instructions. On the day of the party, after reading and re-reading the instructions as well as trying to look up the model number online to maybe find a YouTube how-to video, we finally began the process of getting the frozen margaritas started. According to the directions, the mix should be made a minimum of 90 minutes prior to it being needed to allow enough time for freezing. Thank goodness we gave ourselves more time than that because after following the written instructions exactly, as soon as we poured the liquid mix into the first tub, it came pouring right out both the nozzle (which wasn't open) and a release valve. We had to quickly grab towels and some type of container to try and catch and dry up the sticky mix. Unfortunately, because it was so unexpected, in the few seconds it took us to grab those things, a very significant amount of sugary, sticky margarita mix had puddled onto our hardwood floors. We had to literally stand by the machine for close to 30 minutes, constantly emptying the catch container we had placed underneath so that it wouldn't overflow, which despite our best efforts still resulted in additional spillage on our hardwood floors. Luckily by the time, the mix finally began to freeze and become slushy, the leak began to subside. We still definitely needed to keep a catch container underneath the regular catch container that came with the unit, and despite our having mopped our floor SEVEN times, our feet are STILL sticking to it. Even if GA Party Rentals were the only company in the state of GA that had a frozen margarita machine available for rent -- I would cancel my party before having to deal with them again. I would definitely NOT recommend this company -- such a stressful situation. read more

We ordered 4 boxes of lights 3 weeks in advance for a wedding. We also ordered that they be installed/put-up. We paid the necessary deposit. We called them one week before the wedding to verify everything was a GO, and they did not have history of our order!!! They printed up a new invoice and sent by email. We verified that they would also be installed/put-up, and they responded with yes and that they would bring a ladder. We arranged for this to be done on a Friday evening at 5pm at the venue, as the wedding was on Saturday. We waited from 4:30pm to 8pm and made lots of calls and texts. No one ever showed up! No one ever called/texted! The next morning, the morning of the wedding, we called and they told us that the delivery driver had wrecked and that they would bring them asap. The manager delivered them in a minivan with no ladders and said she was not installing them, and that we paid $65 dollars for delivery/pickup!!! Luckily, we had a ladder and put them up ourselves, which wasn't exactly easy. The wedding was spectacular and the lights really did make things look amazing. The next morning we called to get the $65 install fee reimbursed and further reimbursement for the lights showing up late and the huge inconvenience of having to install them ourselves. They said they would reimburse us the $65 but no more. We decided it was best, because of other reviews to return them ourselves. We got up there and explained the entire situation to a translator due to the language barrier, and they refused to offer anymore reimbursement for our inconveniences or the gas/mileage they saved from us returning them from the venue which was nearly 45 miles from their location. The lights were in good condition, however the service was less than professional and they seem to not put a lot of time into their customers. I would not recommend them to anyone I know. read more

I ordered 100 chairs for my wedding, I paid over 400 for the chairs and the delivery. They were supposed to deliver at 5 and they called my wife and said they'd be 45 minutes late, so I go 45 minutes later and they're not there. I wait another half hour and they show up, no apology. They unload and leave. Whatever, not a big deal. Well Monday comes and they're supposed to pick up at 1 and they don't show up until 3:30. So don't expect them to ever be on time. Also, 10 of the chairs had duct tape on them and didn't match. Then another 10-15 weren't as white as the others, more like a cream yellow from age. I called at the end of this whole ordeal and explained all that went wrong and they offered me 20 cents off per chair. So they basically valued my time at 5 bucks an hour. I rented 4 large tables and 40 chairs. They were delivered on time and picked up on time. I definitely would recommend using them for large or small get togethers. WORTH THE READ!!!! I am from a small town in North Georgia. When it came time to find a tent for my wedding there were none to be found. That's when I found my saving grace at North GA Party Rentals....or so I thought. The whole booking process went wonderfully. The price is VERY reasonable and the company was easy to work with. I checked their reviews on Yelp and noticed that both poor reviews stated that they often ran late. I expressed my concerns and arranged a delivery for Thursday for my Saturday wedding. My fears were put at ease. When we had to add an extra tent at the last minute they were extremely helpful and acomadating. FLASH FORWARD TO DELIVERY DAY. I arranged for an afternoon delivery so the venue would be open. When I called at 9am I was told they would be there at 12. At 2pm I still had not heard from them. At 4pm I was told by the owner Zach that they were simply too busy to make it that day but would be there at 8am Friday morning. Friday morning came and went. At 9am Friday I still had no tent and had not heard from them. I was then told they would be there by 12pm. They arrived at my venue at 3:30pm. The owner simply dropped off his workers and left. I will say they worked their tails off. It poured the rain and they kept working. We ordered them pizza and went to the rehearsal dinner. They continued to work until 11pm that night. The owner then stated that they would be back at 8am (his favorite time) to bring my dance floor and lights. I called at 9am on my WEDDING DAY and was told I was the only delivery that day. Later a kind employee called me and informed me they were almost to my venue and the owner sent them to another job. (This was not his fault...he has to do what he is told) So they arrived at 3:55 to finish my tent, hang lights, and assemble a dance floor. Thank goodness I had a large wedding party and they all pitched in to make sure it was finished. The employees were AMAZING. They came to see me (panicking in my wedding dress) to apologize for something that wasn't even their fault. The owner however did not return to the venue that day and would not answer any calls. YES all of my rentals arrived before the actual wedding. HOWEVER it was extremely stressful and rude to have been given the run around for 3 days. If you are like me and need your ducks in a row before the most important day of your life, PLEASE, for your sanity, choose another company. read more

This company doesn't deserve 1 star. These people ARE NOT professionals! RENTER BEWARE! Called 1 month ahead of time, was told the morning of that they would arrive at 5pm (even though we had discussed earlier time prior). At 4:30 they said it would be 5:20, got a call from them at 6. They showed up at 6:35! One of my photographers had to leave because of the delay. The items rented were not what we ordered & were in terrible shape to top it off. Then the rental items were not picked up as promised. Had to call several times to get them to pick up, two days LATE! Management was unapologetic & offered excuse after excuse.
