Being a road warrior I'm a huge fan of roadside stands (aka Tourist Traps). Once I got out of my car I could smell the boiled peanuts, a good sign, but I left feeling that it was just a big cup of "OK". The staff was friendly, and I did see the College Fund bucket, contribute if you want to and don't if you don;t want to... no pressure. The place was filled with peach this, peach that, throw in some knives, pewter crosses and free samples and you have the makings of a southern experience. I did buy a bottle of peach wine, $15.00, about what I'd expect to pay for a "local" offering. Will I stop in again, maybe depending on the taste of the wine. read more

My family and I stopped in on the way from Florida to North Carolina and all of us loved this place! You can try samples of literally everything including the wines and moonshine. The peach slushie is delicious! The peach amaretto butter is literally to die for as well! The staff are literally all so helpful and sweet also! Hi great little house next to a gas station. The cashier was super friendly and they had plenty of testers!!! Im from the north so i went a "bit" crazy in here!!! We got the peach cider, honey, caramel praline, frog jam and one more ill edit this later. We also got the pecan pie. I love the jams!!! The peach cider i used as gifts but the tester was great!! The caramel pralines were delicious but stuck to the paper... It was good even with a layer of paper!! Usually i dont like pralines bc they are too sugary sweet!! Now the pecan pie... My husband tasted it in the store and loved it but the one we got didn't quite taste the same... So we were disappointed with that one but really liked the rest... They are a bit pricy... BUT i dontind paying those prices for homemade stuff!!! read more

We stopped here last Saturday. I should've done my homework. Peaches really weren't in season yet. But that didn't stop them from selling the tiny peaches. One of their employees actually picked out the peaches for my girlfriend.I bought some of the peach cinnamon bread and it was stale. The only good thing we bought were the tomatoes. From the outside it doesn't look like much but as soon as you go in, you will NOT be disappointed. Cylye (pronounces like kylee) is absolutely fantastic! She had I try a bunch of jams and some moonshine and she even tried some hot salsa WITH us! She wasn't pushy for us to buy anything but you can tell she genuinely wanted you to try and enjoy as much as you can. I will ABSOLUTELY be stopping here again! read more

I went to a produce market in NC on my way home to FL and the peaches looked beautiful. All I could think of was a warm, fragrant peach cobbler, probably dappled with some of those big, juicy blackberries that I just bought. But, no, I'd be driving through GA myself, so why not get them there. II really wish I had bought them when I first saw them. I looked up produce stands off I95, and there was one with a great review. All I had to do was take a little detour on 17, but the road looped and would put me right back on 95. Easy, right? Well, I started seeing all these billboards for Georgia Peach World. I mean lots of them. Okay, dilemma, should I go for the inconvenient actual produce market or stop at the touristy peach stand, with fritters and a dot com and cider, and it just looked so fun? Okay, I'll probably pay more for the convenience, but let's stop there instead. Okay, here we are at the designated exit, which way? Oh, duh, right there it is, in front of us. Really? That's it? But, what about all those signs? We got out, by-passed the stand with the baskets of peaches and a few with Vidalia onions, to go inside. There was a friendly young man in this little ol' store, passing out samples of peach slushy. Made from peach cider, frozen and whirred in the blender, it was light and refreshing. There were jars of $8-10 jams made from various fruits, giving them cute sounding names, i.e. T.angerine, O.range, & E.lderberry. Get it? Yeah, cute. I'm a sucker for cute, okay, let me pay so I can go get what I actually came for--peaches! Plus, it was crowded, people just kept coming in, buying the few things that they had, peach bread, candy, and jams. Outside, peach baskets are atop the stand, but they're tiny and hard. They had white peaches, which she said are ripe now, still small and not very appetizing. So, how much? $20 for a basket of tiny, unripe peaches, those over there are 10. Really, you mean in the basket that's barely bigger than a berry container? Umm, I don't think so. We visited it on Labor Day, it was the end of peach season, the peaches could only be used for jam, but the sales people showed us some southern hospitality at beginning, and convinced us to try all kinds of jams and their house made frozen peach juice, the jams and fruit juices/ciders are pretty good, specially pecan honey butter one. after we spent over $60 on jams and juices, we were in shock to find out the same sales man refused to sale us one peach, he told us we have to buy a whole bucket of peaches(a lot of them were bruised) , it was really odd, he refused to let us taste one after we spent plenty of money in there. The peach cider was good but not unique to peach world, I bought the same cider for a lower price in South Carolina. We got the smallest peach bucket for the outrageous price of $10 and they aren't even local, we asked . An overpriced tourist trap, just keep driving and ignore the signs. read more

Definitely 5 stars! The on/off aspect was great! We were able to jump off freeway, get our goodies, and jump back on with no problems at all! The people working there were wonderful! So nice, and knowledgeable too! They were able to help us choose the delights we would prefer. Ahhh yes, the delights. They have tons of marvelous goodies! I particularly recommend the cinnamon pecan bread, apple butter, and no sugar added (they use white grapes as sweetener!) Peach preserves! All are homemade, and literally to die for! I have been munching on it for last few days here in hotel. We leave for home tomorrow, and can't wait to try some new stuff! Peach bread perhaps! :) I highly recommend this place. Tourist trap! I am really not sure actually that term applies here. Considering there is no competition for miles and miles, it's pretty much good ole fashioned Capitalism. Peach stuff and peach stuff for lots of money. I was driving and I thought I would buy some fruit. I was driving back from Savannah and I thought maybe some healthy options would make me feel better about what I just ate for the past few days. Come to find out peach season in Georgia was over and the peaches they had were from CA. The lady that told me that was very forward with this information. This made it less exciting for sure. I did get some oranges, not from CA, and a giant tomato. Not sure why I got a giant tomato, but at least it was from Georgia. The tomato just rotted in my room, but I did eat some of the Florida oranges and they were pretty tasty. That was the fruit stand part. There is also a little store next to it. This was the overpriced part. Jams, and honey, and jellies, all kinds of peach stuff. Of course I ended up buying two different kinds of peach fudge. One with pecans, which was really good. So, my fruit trip turned out to be a fudge trip..Sigh. They do free samples as well. I even tried the peach slushy they had, this I did not care for. Overall, not a bad place. I probably wouldn't stop here again though. Maybe during Georgia peach season. read more

Do not order products online! I placed an online order. I never received the package and was told by USPS that they could not find it. I emailed Georgia Peach World multiple times about the issue and never received a response. I called and asked to speak to a manager and was told I would be contacted for a refund and never heard from the employee again. I called again and was told that I was lied to and had not spoken to a manager. Josh (the "manager" I spoke with the second time), refused to refund me or resend the shipment and told me to contact USPS. Worst customer service ever, blatant disrespect, lack if accountability, and theft of funds. read more

We stopped on our travels to the Keys, and I'm so glad we did! The staff was so incredibly informative and friendly. We purchased the pumpkin butter which was out of this world and the blueberry wine. We sampled the homemade shine, their notorious peach slushy and we had to buy a piece of cobbler! While traveling north to Savannah I decided to succumb to the many billboards along I-95. I got off the exit on I-95 north and made a right, apparently, there are two Georgia Peach Worlds, both on each side of the Interstate, I did not check them both out. The one I went to was sharing a parking lot with a gas station that has the highest gas prices in Georgia I parked, foolishly gassed up, then walked past the many oddly hand-painted signs and went inside. The interior is a lot more welcoming than the exterior. There were all kinds of peach products, highly priced, and judging by the various samples offered to me, were very good. You can expect the staff to be extra attentive, not only offering samples but if they see you browsing and have the opportunity will stop and tell you about the product you are looking at, some may like that, some may not. I would have bought some of the peach cider, but I bought some last time I was in South Carolina, it was good, and I didn't need anymore. If you want good tasting, high priced snacks containing peaches, this is the place. read more

While on the way to South Carolina last Friday (8/18), we stopped at Peach World for the peaches. By Thursday (8/24), they appeared to have ripened to the touch. Well, the first one was completely rotten. Ok, no issue. The next and then the next were dry as could be. We are still hoping to have a ripe juicy peach from the lot. One would think that Peach World would quality check the peaches before selling them. After all, it is their main product. Stopped here today to get some "Georgia Peaches" that they advertised all over I95 highway. We were very excited to try their famous state peach. Upon arrival, the staff was very friendly but we were very disappointed to learn that their peaches were actually not from Georgia. They told us they were from Virginia. The reason they were from Virginia was because Georgia had a bad season. She kept saying "but it's still American Produce". Yes, that great that it's an American produce, but we were looking for Georgia peaches as you state on your bill boards. If I wanted Virginia peaches I would have went to Virginia. I would not recommend a stop at the Georgia Peach world. We stopped and purchased a basket of peaches and a basket of tomatoes. When we arrived at home in Florida we were looking forward to a fresh peach. We sliced one in half and it was brown inside and not ripe we sliced the remainder of them and did no find one peach that was edible. It was not edible and obviously would not be later. The tomatoes had a few black rotting spots. The young man that bagged the tomatoes did not let us know that they were going bad already. We were able to save a few for consumption. The road signs give the impression that you are going to see a three-ring circus of peach goods for sale. You imagine baskets of ripe peaches, peach pies, peach cobbler, peach preserves, peach candies, peach jams and jellies, peach wine, peach soda, peach fruit cake, and nuts, including pecans, roasted and boiled peanuts, and peanut brittle. Plenty of peach toys for the kids, trinkets for grandma, and goofy peach magnets for the fridge. Well, you do see some of that, but the place is small and houses just a few of shelves of stuff, most of it over-priced. There were no fresh peaches - they were out-of-season - but for $12 the clerk will prepare for you a 24 oz peach slushy. There's also lots of out-of-season fireworks and big knives in the back. I purchased some peach pepper sauce, pickled quail eggs, sugar-free peach jam, and peach butter. I paid about $35. Next door, there was a gas station selling fuel for about 40 cents/gallon more than the prevailing rate. I wonder if there is a connection? Overall, it wasn't a bad stop, just a little disappointing. I much more enjoyed Florida Citrus World a little further down down I-95. They had many kinds of oranges, baby alligators, loads of trinkets, and more orange products than I could count. This place is a little hidden gem. They have an amazing selection of eclectic and well made jams, jellies, ciders, etc. the peach slushies are awesome and it's nice to go to a place where you can understand all of the ingredients on the label. The gentlemen that helped us today were very attentive and more than happy to assist us with samples and opinions on the best way to use the products in the store.
