I've seen the other reviews and disagree with most of them. Located just west of Interstate 95 at exit 58, you will find Georgia Peach World. No different than Pedro from South of the Border, you will see the billboards for miles. It's your decision whether to stop or not. A tourist trap? Yes, this place is a tourist trap, but you know that before arriving. You've seen the signs, you've probably checked them out on Google, and you've read the other reviews. To complain about it being a tourist trap after the fact? Why? Yes, the place is small, divey, and a bit old. What were you expecting from a small fruit stand and gift shop? It's not Publix. You want air conditioning, waxed floors, sparkling clean restrooms and tons of options, go to Publix. Don't stop at Peach World - you'll be disappointed. Georgia Peach World is about peaches and other fruit, various nuts and fudge, jams and spreads, baked goods and coffee, a number of different salsas, wine and "moonshine." And you can sample everything as I do each and every time I stop for something on the ride home to South Florida. My theory is sample a bunch of stuff - no different than hitting all the samples at Sam's Club - and "eat lunch" while buying peaches, fudge, peanut brittle, pickles, and wine. Only problem is that I actually purchase a number of things that only I eat at home. Did I tell you that I hate boiled peanuts? I didn't, did I? Well, if you like boiled P-Nuts, they are offered at Georgia Peach World. Along with all sorts of different flavor pickles. Make sure to check out the small fruit stand before entering the store itself. Staff are very friendly and helpful. A tourist trap? Yes, this place is a tourist trap. With that said, it's a great travel stop either north or south on Interstate 95. It's a great diversion on your trip and you can fill up on free samples and even use the restroom. I wasn't really impressed with this location. I know they have others but this one sort of turned me off. The first thing you notice when you get out of your car is the overwhelming smell of septic. The selections were nice but very overpriced. The smaller farm stands on the side of the road have nicer peaches and at lower prices. On our trip to South Carolina we were craving Georgia peaches and decided to stop here. Friendly staff and great samples! We purchased a $10 bucket of peaches and we were so excited to try. I was back on the road, I washed 1 peach and took a bite... Very Disappointed! The peach was dry and gritty. I threw it away and moved on to the next peach..and the next peach..and the next peach. Still no luck..the entire bucket was bad. Waste of money :( JUST FYI...Hundreds of lovebugs flying everywhere! All over the peaches and in my car. We always stop here when returning to Florida. I'm giving five stars because the store was not technically open yet but the girls let us in and were very hospitable. They hadn't really set anything up yet, but they hurried to offer us tastes of pecans and peach juice. I bought some peach moonshine and a bottle of peach wine. I haven't tried them yet, but I'm sure I'll be happy. we got some pecans (about the same price as Publix but fresh from the source). We got jams and sauces. Unfortunately, the peach season was over and fresh peaches were not available. Behind the shop is a fenced in part of a farm (I guess) and they have cute goats and a donkey. If you're crazy for animals, don't miss these guys. If you are the owner of this business, extra kudos to your employees Memorial Day morning who were so kind and gracious. read more

7/15 Midway through our Florida trip, a friend texted me to ask me to bring him home some Georgia peaches. We followed the billboards here to Peach World. It's not much from the outside but the small store is clean inside and well-stocked. The staff is great. I was given some peach slush which was fantastic (and reminds me to get some in the freezer!). My husband bought a bottle of peach shine and pickled peaches for some odd reason. :) The low review comes from the price of the peaches we bought. I'm too embarrassed to even give the number but those peach pits should have been gold inside for the hole now missing in our wallets. Can you say "TOURIST TRAP"? The half bushel of peaches from Lane Southern Orchards in Fort Valley were selling for $65. The same peaches at Lane's are $35. I understand a little upcharge for bringing them east, but $30? I'd rather drive to Fort Valley and get twice the peaches. Then I went inside. While there are a lot of items, they are all over priced. So that my trip wouldn't be a waste, I bought a cup of ice cream. Was I shocked to find out that it was $6 and it wasn't even real peach ice cream. It was peach colored and artificially flavored-no peaches! Obviously people love to be fleeced as the place was packed. I won't be going back. If by some chance you are tempted by all the signs on I-95, be careful of all the potholes in the parking lot. This is the same review as their other location. When you take the exit, there is a Peach World right off the exit in both directions! We visited the other location on the way to Florida and we visited this location on the way home from Florida. This is a pleasant stop along the I-95 corridor in Georgia at exit 58. There are tons of billboards to show you the way. It is definitely a tourist trap as I seriously doubt there was any locals shopping there. They have tons of peach merch to buy including moonshine, mead, wine, slushies, jellies, and fresh peaches. Pretty cool that they give you free samples of whatever you want. Outside, they sold baskets of fresh peaches and hot boiled peanuts. We opted not to buy the peaches because they were really hard and wouldn't ripen quickly. They were really beautiful unblemished peaches though. The highlight was the hot boiled peanuts! They have a large outdoor fryer that was filled with peanuts in the shell boiling in saltwater. You got a ton of them for $5 which was awesome! This place is worth the stop if you want to stretch your legs and pick up a few last minute gifts on your way home from Florida! read more

High pressure sales from the Sweet Georgia peach ladies working the floor. This is a tourist trap, but that does not mean it is all bad-because it's not. I did walk away with some sugar free Peach jam. I have not tried it yet, but I look forward to trying it very soon($9.00). I was going to purchase a few peaches to take home l, but they only had a large basket-$24.00 or a small basket-$12.00. Really? They did not look that good to me, so I passed on the peaches. Cute, well-themed little touristy stop. I've picked up roadside peaches before so I expected the high prices, BUT... I shelled out $10 for a small bucket of peaches. For that price I expected them to be high quality, however when I got them home, I had to throw several of them away because some were overly ripened and/or bruised. You guys, I don't know what everybody is talking about, Peach World is a perfect road trip stop. I rarely write yelp reviews but I feel this is a necessary one because a valuable lesson was learned from this experience- I cannot trust yall on yelp sometimes. I almost did not stop here due to all of the negative reviews, but I sure am glad I did because I was rewarded with fresh peach ice cream, a giant box of peaches and an abundance of peach knowledge bestowed upon me by two handsome peach salesmen by the names of Jon and Jordan. I ate my peach ice cream in their flower patch on the edge of the woods and it overall a lovely time. read more

Definitely one of those road trip must see stops! They aren't kidding, they really do have just about every Peach thing you could possibly imagine. We really wanted to take home some Peach Wine but they don't sell wine before 12:30 pm on Sundays, so we had to kill a little time there waiting. One of the employees said "Since you have to wait 20 minutes we might as well feed y'all" so we got to sample a lot of tasty treats. If you are on 95 there are locations southbound and northbound, so definitely check them out! read more

Cute small business. Their advertising on the highway attracted us in and the thought of peach wine interested us. We took the exit and went to them, but it turned out that that location was the newly opened one and it didn't sell wine. So we had to go across the bridge for their old location where they sold everything. Staff is friendly and explains all their products. Everything is very overpriced. It was nice that they had samples. The girl working there was very sweet. I bought an ice cream cone that came out to be over $4. The ice cream was good, but the cone was stale that left an aftertaste in your mouth. Definitely not worth the money. read more

We came in to pick up some local goodies for our friends at home. Unfortunately we didn't get any peaches, but we did buy some great items: Pumpkin Bread, Bacon & Cheese Crickets (NOT MY IDEA), Pecan Pie, Peach BBQ Sauce, and Peach Wine. What's awesome about this market is that everything they have, you're able to sample - from the pecans to the moonshine! It was extremely cold on our visit, so we missed out on the outside fun everyone else has posted pictures of. So looks like we'll be back again. My husband and I stopped in to Georgia Peach World because we are staying at a campground near by. I bought 1 small bottle of peach wine and it cost me $18. We went grocery shopping down the road at piggly wiggles and they had the same exact wine for $7. I couldn't believe it. We decided to stop here since it was right off the highway on our way back home. You're immediately welcomed as soon as you get off your car by the friendly staff. Peaches and produce are sold outside while everything else is inside. Once you go inside, you're greater once again and told that most everything is available for sample, and it was true! We got to try everything we wanted before buying it, just to make sure we liked it. Highly recommend the peach salsa and peach soft serve. Was a tiny building with processed peach products and nuts - hardly a "world." It was dirty with discarded (hopefully) food processing equipment outside along the porch. A delicious little tourist trap I have been dying to see since all those billboards on 95 lured me in the last few times I have traveled this way. I followed the advice of fellow Yelpers and went with the Peach World on the eastern side. Very friendly, good samples, and the peach slushie lived up to its promise. It's terrific, sweet and cold and delicious. The praline pecan honey butter tastes like happiness in a jar (aka: cinnamon-y cookie dough). The peach bread is soft and sweet and totally decadent. I'm also going to be trying a couple of coffees I picked up. However, as other reviewers have pointed out, this is one of the most overpriced tourist traps of its kind I have visited. If you don't mind spending the money (expect a $25+ tab for just a handful of peachy goodness), this experience is worthwhile. For example, a medium slushie is $6. A tiny 4 ounce container of the praline butter was also $6. I think I will be back to try other things in the future. I do like what they have to offer, but at those prices, my visits will be few and far between. Also, I do have to remark that there was a definite unpleasant odor in the parking lot. The actual fruit stand is pretty small and we were offered a slice to try by one of the friendly family members. The peach was nothing special. We went into the little store...........everything peachy keen, and then some! They will let you try everything, which is nice, nothing worse than buying something (for more than you might normally spend) and it not being good. You can even try the flavored moonshine & wines. The 'shine was quite good. We ended up buying peach jam, peach vinaigrette & vidalia-peach hot sauce. Definitely worth stopping. My family and I stopped in on the way from Florida to North Carolina and all of us loved this place! You can try samples of literally everything including the wines and moonshine.
