Very personable, technologically…read moresuperior to other urology practices, and flexible scheduling for office visits, surgery center procedures, or in-office procedures. This practice is part of Advanced Urology, who has offices in Snellville (main), Decatur, and Johns Creek. They also have a great patient portal available to all patients. I saw Dr. Prabharasuth in the Decatur office for a second opinion on a surgical need and a medical issue and he was far superior to the other physician I saw from another practice. The only issue is that for surgery, I have to go the Snellville surgery center because the Decatur surgery center is not in-network with Ambetter. NPWH=The office staff, doctors, phone operators, billing department, and everyone in between are RIDICULOUSLY nice. I totally recommend this group to anybody.

My husband had a terrible abscess that caused him to be admitted to the hospital for two weeks. I am very fortunate he was able to contain the infection before it could spread throughout his body. During this process Dr. Patel kept me informed and was a great sounding board. He made himself accessible. Words cannot express our gratitude. This is my first time writing on a blog but I felt compelled to go on record and tell everyone that he is the Greatest Urologist out there. I also want to give kudos to his staff. My first appointment on 11/10 at 8:10 a.m. was a mess: the waiting room was packed, check-in lines moved slowly, and although I arrived at 8:00 a.m., I wasn't checked in until 8:50 AM. It's as if they scheduled everyone at the same time. A manager apologized and rescheduled me, promising a better experience next time. On 11/20, check-in was smoother, and I was seen quickly. Dr. Jabren was courteous and recommended surgery, but the visit felt rushed, given the significance of that surgical recommendation. What happened next is why I'm leaving this review. From 11/20 to today, 12/15, no one from the office has called to schedule the procedure, despite my multiple voicemails, near-daily calls with updates, and a patient-portal message that went unanswered. Kathy in billing was helpful in getting hospital approval, but the overall lack of follow-through on scheduling was unacceptable, especially with a note in my chart about a possible lingering infection. For comparison, Advanced Urology in Alpharetta with Dr. Kushan Radadia scheduled me within 24 hours of my first call, reviewed my prior records, took the time to explain the plan, and booked my procedure the next day, which is this week. Meanwhile, I am still waiting to hear back from Urology of Greater Atlanta as of 12/15. HA! As someone who reviews medical records for plaintiff-side medical malpractice, I'm acutely aware of how dangerous delays can be. I'm not a medical expert, but a lingering infection over months can progress and cause serious complications. My experience here reflected an avoidable delay in care and poor coordination. I'm grateful I knew to seek a second opinion and go elsewhere when I wasn't being cared for appropriately. I appreciate the staff who tried, but I cannot recommend this practice. I chose Dr. Radadia instead; even with an hour-plus drive, the difference in responsiveness made it worth it.

Everything went well from the ease of scheduling appointments to check out. The front desk staff was professional and prompt from uploading documents to getting him seen within 15 min of arrival Octavia, the nurse, was very sweet. She introduced herself and gave a bit of background about herself and the purpose of her role during his visit. She asked thorough questions and repeated his responses back to him for clarification. Dr. Shapiro came in 10 min after she entered the notes. He was very nice and polite. He asked follow-up questions that Octavia had previously asked for clarification on. He explained thoroughly why my dad was on specific medications and their role. He ordered bloodwork in which it was done in-house. He also ordered imaging (PET scan) and prescription refills. The Phlobotomist was sweet and funny! She and my dad hit it off well. She suggested he drink more water considering it was difficult to find a vein. My dad says well may I should have had a glass of wine! . She laughed and stated that it would not be a good idea As previously stated check out was good. On the way home I received a call from the office scheduling the PET scan. We were able to get the day/time we wanted. All in all, it was a very good visit! I'm very pleased with the staff and Dr. Shapiro. If you or a family member needs a Urologist, give them a call. From my understanding, there are other locations.

They truly cared about me as a patient and as a person. I moved to Knoxville, TN about 2 months ago for work. I've been seeing my previous urologist in NJ for years for my urological issues. My urological issues are embarrassing to me and it is very difficult for me to find the right person I'm comfortable with for treatment. I couldn't find anyone in Knoxville that could help my specific issue and that I was comfortable with as well. I did some research and I found Dr. Cornell and saw he had lots of experience with my issue and offered the same kind of treatments as my previous doctor. At my appointment today I felt extremely comfortable with Dr. Cornell. I was surprisingly more comfortable with him than my previous urologist I've seen for years. He is very nice and listens well. He offers excellent advice. And his treatment was even better and more effective than my NJ urologist as well. I am doing so much better right now and I'm grateful. I have to drive 3 hours each way to see Dr. Cornell but it is worth it to me. He is now my official urologist and I will be seeing him regularly. I am extremely grateful and relieved that I found him. I highly recommend him to anyone looking for a urologist. Honestly I believe he is the best doctor and this is the best doctor office I've ever been to. Please check him out. He will help you. Thank you Dr. Cornell and Kim. - Christopher Neller

I was referred to Dr. Cornell by my internist, and I'm so glad I was!…read more I saw Dr. Cornell as a new patient today, and he and his staff could not have been nicer or more efficient. Once I got there and gave his office manager my paperwork, I only had to wait long enough for her to photocopy my license and insurance and start a chart, which took no more than 10 minutes. I was taken back quickly, and waited no more than 10 minutes again to see Dr. Cornell himself. Dr. Cornell was EXTREMELY thorough, and looked over my past history, looking for anything that could help him piece together a picture of what was going on with me; which I really appreciated. He answered every question (even if I accidentally asked more than once), made sure I knew exactly what was going on, and took as much time as I needed to understand his conclusions, course of treatment, and the reasoning behind it. Dr. Cornell listened and made sure he understood exactly what I was saying before coming to any conclusions or making a diagnosis. It was so wonderful to have a doctor that really listened and spent time with me. I cannot say enough about my experience with Dr. Cornell today.
