To be honest, I just stopped to use the restroom but I happened to pop in to the information center. Carlos kindly informed me there was a little bit of free coffee left and asked if I'd like it. YES was my answer as we had a long drive with more ahead! Carlos was welcoming, pleasant and a very nice conversationalist. Plus, he had a positive attitude and a sincere smile. It seems nice, it had a nice roomy picnic area and you could go inside the building. It could be a little bit cleaner.

First of all, I walk in and it's just trashy. The bathroom and almost none of the stall locks work. The smell was unpleasant. The bathroom was just straight up gross. Old tape on the toilet. Many stalls out of order. Also, 2 of the 4 sinks didn't work, and the ones that did work only worked when you angled it right. Also, there were no paper towels, just an automatic hand dryer (which actually makes your hands dirtier than before). Then I go to the vending machines -- 1 out of order, 1 not accepting card, and the other taking my money. I just wanted to get some cheez its and the machine took $3 from me. I never got my cheez its. I mean at least my sour skittles weren't melted due to the machines keeping the inside cool. My only positive part of the experience was leaving. read more

A surprisingly easy off and on GA Visitors Center with rest area. Plenty of parking for cars, trucks, and other large vehicles. The visitors center was clean and has the required vending machines and older restrooms. You can also receive information from helpful employees inside between 8:30 am and 5:30 pm. The restrooms are open 7 am to 11 pm. read more

Sometimes you have to stop at a rest stop. I'm always a little sad when I leave Florida, and this rest stop sort of makes it worse. It's a bit on the seedy side- but the bathroom is clean enough. read more

The Georgia Visitors Center on NB I-95 is very nice. IT doesn't appear to be as large and fancy as the Southbound center BUT we got here while they were still open and found the staff to be friendly and helpful. Unfortunately, the southbound center was closed when we passed through 2 weeks ago and there is NO literature or maps when the center is closed. The northbound visitors center had a lot of travel information and literature and helpful staff. read more

I stopped here after hours so the crowds were long gone and this place for me was more about taking a driving break than exploring the informational brochures displayed by the tourist bureau. I've traveled across Georgia many times and these rest areas are something I always take advantage of. I'm sure there's a lots more to learn about Georgia but it wasn't on my agenda this evening, so just finding a spacious area to park the RV and complete my walk around inspection was much appreciated. No matter your schedule when your GPS or Apple Watch tells you it's time to take a driving break or it's time to stand that's good advice and hopefully this place is in your windshield and not in your rear view mirror... read more

My dad and I were heading back to Myrtle Beach from Florida after some important family matters and stopped into the Georgia Welcome Center that is on the side of those going in that direction. Its a clean space and the staff is very friendly. We were not stopping to order any snacks as we had some stuff from the hotel and were consuming that before getting back on the road. These stops are great to stretch ones legs and observe any additional sites they might have. Inside there was a guitar on display and outside a pretty cool torpedo as one of the war memorials. My whole time spent was under 20 minutes since there was a long way to go but I must encourage that if you are on a long trip that you make use of places like this. Everything you could want in an information center, without the free juice! We still love our FL welcome information center with its free juice samples. This welcoming information center had personable, friendly people, offering a plethora of brochures for everyplace imaginable in GA, as well as maps and discount coupons. The bathrooms are plentiful, with three areas to wash up and dry (no towels, just hot air). Thirsty? There's a water fountain. Looking for a photo op? Pose in the postcard to be picture perfect! If you like submarines, you can pose with the torpedo outside. Then head over to the submarine museum in St. Marys. Outside are picnic areas with covered shelters and places to stretch your legs. Looks like your normal rest stop area when you pull in. However, there's tons to look at and friendly staff galore! You can get directions, pick up coupons and pamphlets for just about anything in the state of Georgia. The restrooms are clean, but there wasn't any soap in the restroom when I went. It's the peak of flu season and how many people comes through here during this holiday season??? C'mon! Nasty! Several picnic tables and green areas for the kids and dogs. A nice and functional welcome center just north of the State line This facility is located on the east side of I-95 just about a mile past the Florida-Georgia border. The turnoff has a wide sweeping turn to the right as you exit. You pass by about 10 covered tables in a grassy area with numerous shady trees before you reach the welcome center and the parking area. There is parking directly on 3 sides of the building for the cars and farther out, but directly in front, for the larger vehicles. The center has obligatory restrooms. They were good and clean. The visitor's center portion of the building consists of a large room with a small seating area with a TV, a counter, and various racks with brochures of attractions for the different areas around the state. There was a pot for free coffee. There was nobody at the counter to ask questions but there were plenty of brochures and maps around the wall. There was a very nice torpedo on the grass outside the building to pay homage to the Kings Bay Naval base. Very nice display. Getting back on the road going north is very easy although it goes under an overpass which is different from most visitor center exits/entrances. Overall, this was a very nice, functional, welcome center. A good place to stop if you want a driving break as you are headed north into Georgia. read more

State line welcome centers are the best! It was super busy yesterday! Bus loads of kids, campers and truckers galore and plenty of traveling families! So many doggies getting walked! Bathrooms were clean and plentiful. Hubby grabbed a new map for the car! We got out and walked around for 10 minutes to stretch! I have stopped at this welcome center so many times! Now we're driving back to New York and saw a sign for the Georgia Visitors Center. Not much to see here other than a bathroom break and a nice looking lobby. They also had a full size poster board of Daryl from The Walking Dead? I mean, Saturday Night Fever was big in New York, you don't see Tony Manero posters all over Brooklyn. Every state has their visitors centers, some of which are pretty good and others that amount to little more than public toilet. The Georgia Visitors Center, I'm happy to say is one of the better ones. The restrooms are clean, the surrounding grounds clean, interesting in that has some rather unusual though seemingly out of place items like a World War II torpedo. The staff is friendly, knowledgeable and the place is loaded with all kinds of informative promotion information nicely broken down by region so it's easy to find that which applies to the areas you might be visiting. Also, when I was there, offered a free taste of Georgia Peach Cider, which was really a nice touch for the place. read more

Georgia Visitor Information Center on I-95 North in Kingsland is a convenient place to stop for a restroom, drink, or snack that is easy to access and be in and out and on your way when you need it. I like the design of everything and there always seems to be good parking available. I like that they have a torpedo and boat outside that are fun to climb on. read more

Welcome to Georgia y'all! This quaint little rest stop off I95 north may be a little dated, but it offers what you need when traveling. The area has many tall trees with shade, various static exhibits outside showing off the coastal area, and inside the AC offers cool relief as you browse and find the guide, map or help for discovering Georgia. The restrooms are plentiful, and clean. Though this time the floors were extremely wet, at least they are maintaining it! Walking area outside for the dog, or just take a small walk to get some fresh air. Nice stop, thanks Georgia! read more

As others have already said, there's nothing really special going on here. It's the first rest stop as you cross over the Florida line into Georgia, so it's a good spot to use the restroom and walk your dog. There's plenty of brochures on all things Georgia, but who needs those anymore when we have Yelp?! :D They have picnic tables available if you're traveling and have brought a cooler full of drinks and sandwiches. Once upon a time ago, there was an ammo can geocache located here. We found it was back in 2007 or 2008, so I'm not sure if it's still here or not. If you happen to be a geocacher, look it up on the geocaching website and see if it's still here. That is all. read more

Very clean location made my stop here brief, but very pleasant will make sure I stop here on my way back through! The bonus is being able to learn a little history. Clean bathrooms but a super long line! I waited almost 15 minutes to use the restroom. Other than the line, it was a pleasant experience. It has clean bathrooms, multiple water fountains but it also has bottle filling stations. This was a huge bonus especially because my household follows the rule if we do not buy drinks during road trips. There are also neat stations set up to explore about Georgia and this particular area. The visitor portion is only open at certain times but the bathrooms are 24 hours! read more

This isn't about the visitor's center but after traveling through Georgia I have to comment that I-95 looks like a debris field or garbage dumb. What happened Georgia? Going the other way on I-95 entering Florida, we got complimentary juice. Why couldn't we get a free peach here? It's a nice, brightly lit, well-stocked and informative welcome center with clean rest rooms. It serves its purpose well; it is a comfortable travel plaza and a welcoming visitor's center. read more

Half the women's stalls were out of order, dirty, smelly, poorly kept for a welcome ctr. Dogs are only allowed on one side, not marked well when you drive in to park. Confusing entrance but its the first stop out of FL. read more

Very helpful and friendly. We stopped in to get our bearings and decide if we were going to stay nearby. The staff answered all of my questions, asked a few of their own to narrow down our interests, and gave us lots of literature and coupons. The dining guide was worth the stop. Not much to see here. Visitor's center with a bunch of brochures that were relevant before the smartphone (and Yelp!). Indoor restroom, a bunch of parking, and picnic benches in the middle of this asphalt and concrete clearing. A good place to hole up if the zombie apocalypse comes, though. read more

This is, BY FAR, the best Welcome Center I've ever been to. Absolutely beautiful picnic and dog walking areas. Paved walkways wind through stands of huge trees. No trash on the ground. Very large parking area centered around the visitor's center. Some cool displays in the landscaped areas. Restroom was spotless. This was the first rest stop and visitors center that greeted us as we crossed the FL/GA line on our way to Savannah. It's rather big with plenty of parking. The women's restroom was fairly clean. They have a neat alternate handle when you enter where you use your forearm to open so you don't have to use your hands. Definitely made for the germaphobes. There are signs clearly stating that dogs are not allowed in certain area but there is a rather large area towards the back of the rest area for dogs. Lots of picnic tables to bring your lunch, dine and stretch your legs. Nice stopping point on the way to your final destination! read more

Nice clean place to learn about the things you can do in Georgia. What I liked is that they have a Welcome to Georgia sign that allows me to further work my through taking a picture with a Welcome to sign from each state. Clean, spacious, but really nothing to get excited about. Stop here for some good information on the state tho. read more

There was an odd entrance when getting off the interstate. I'm sure this visitors center is nice in the day time hours reading the other reviews however the snack machines need work ASAP. I was unable to grab a quick drink because the machine either ate my change or didn't take the change at all. read more

It's a rest area. Could have been cleaner. Was open as a rest facility. The visitor area was closed. It was a bit creepy.

There isn't much I can say about this place being that I was passing through and didn't stay long. It was quite dark so I suggest more lights and brighter bulbs for the lights that they do have. There appeared to be a decent amount of parking. read more
