Yeah it's a gay bar. Yeah it's a dive bar. It's a dive gay bar. it's 2025 now. Maybe make some progress as the LGBTQ+ community does. Okay happy hour (aka cheap beer, strong drinks occasionally). Had a food menu but would be better off having food delivered but I'm sure that's not allowed. Kitchen is incredibly ridiculously slow. Like the cooks have no interest in giving the clientele the slightest of timely food.last week had their wings, I have to say goes down as hands down the worst pathetic wings I've ever had. Today the chicken quesadilla fared better, but took at least a good 30 minutes. Not like there was a lot of orders coming out (no pun intended). There was a community event going on N2Sshore, wanted to support it, had some live music. It seemed like the bartenders and kitchen staff today could care less about service. Avoid the food. Don't look in the kitchen. Stick to the bar. Deserving of 2 stars, but being it's a rare LGBTQ bar in the area adding one star. read more

First time there, and will not be the last!! The Bartender Josh was awesome! My Fiancée and I felt very welcomed. And made some friends.

What an awesome Sunday spent at this establishment! My family and I were so excited to check out the Sunday Drag Queen brunch, we rolled in deep. LOL. We got there about 1:30, brunch is from 1-5 pm. Show starts at 3. We were able to come and get settled with some drinks and order food before the show started. Brunch is a little limited in terms of options, but priced very reasonably. I ordered a simple bacon, egg, and cheese sandwich that was pretty small on an English muffin sized bun. It was tasty! Mimosas are two dollars! Seem to be a little more OJ than bubbly, so I added a shot of vodka that took it and me over the top lol. Shout out to Dayshawn, really nice bartender!! Unfortunately, can't say the same for a female bartender that was also working... very unwelcoming and barely acknowledged us at all. Inside is a little dive bar-ish which added to the experience for me! Before you go, $5 cover charge and cash only! Was a little bummed about spending $4 to get money out of the ATM. Ok, on to the show!! SO MUCH FUN! Extremely entertaining! Divinity Banks... OMG. Show stopping beauty who is extremely talented! Very engaging with the crowd and it was just a really good time! I went to karaoke on a Sunday (5:30-8:30). Parking was pretty easy - I walk in got carded by a very pleasant human and then went to a very clean bathroom and then headed to the bar. I was greeted by the bartender who looked like Bradley Cooper and they were rly sweet and answered all my questions I had about the bar and served me a strong but tasty drink. I signed up for karaoke and sang about 3 songs. The crowd sang with me and a few ppl bought me drinks. I HAD AN EFFING BLAST. As someone who is from Louisiana, lesbian, neurodivergent, and solo - I felt safe, embraced and very welcomed. Even exchanged numbers and ig with some ppl, I'd have stayed all night but alas had early morning work in healthcare. A great experience! Loved the karaoke night. Drinks and food were perfect, specially the chicken tenders and the L. I. T. The only thing that bothered me a little was this person sneezing every five minutes next to the bathroom, but security came across as soon as they noticed. This place was cool, came on 4th of July. They had an indoor and outdoor space. Very polite staff and the bartender was funny and attentive. Drinks were cheap. The music was 70s. Love this bar!!! Affordable drinks, friendly staff, and a very loving vibe. "The gay cheers of Asbury Park" is a fitting description. When I first started going, by myself, I was nervous. I had made friends pretty quickly and enjoy their company...thoroughly. As far as the comment below, I have been there at times of downpours and they close at 2am...so yes, we are not supposed to be in the bar rain or not...in addition, they do give you a last call warning 15 minutes before closing to give you time for another beverage....or summon your ride. Security there are very friendly and, IF a security person said what Dom states, I can vouge it was in jest and being silly. I've never had an issue there and hope not to. I came here two nights, last week, with a friend of mine. Wednesday night was karaoke. It goes without saying that these men out-sang me! Fun night and the woman running the karaoke was lively. Requests are taken via text message, which was different, but worked I guess. Thursday night it was a lot quieter, but the bartender was so friendly! He got everyone in the place chatting with each other and kept the spirit of the evening alive. Great fun! This bar has less of a club crowd so it's a little more my style of people. Georgie's is a nice neighborhood bar. A chill place that accepts everyone, most people are generally friendly with a quaint atmosphere. There aren't many bars in our community like this that are making it and I commend Georgie's for what they represent and providing a non-pretentious place for the LGBT to hang. Georgies is a reliable standby, like a comfy sweatshirt. If you are male you should go on a week day, if you are female then weekends. I think its awesome that there is a place like this to go on a Monday evening even in the winter in a town the size of Asbury Park. Will you have the time of your life? Probably not. One of the first times I came here there were kittens. Now I'm disappointed each time I come back and there are no kittens. I keep coming back anyway. It's not the friendliest of local bars. No matter how many times I come, it's always an effort to get served. The people watching is amazing. There's always a game of pool going on. It can get pretty wild later on in the night. This is a hidden gem in Asbury. Everyone is great and the place is a lot of fun. They also serve food now, I haven't eaten there yet but it sure looks pretty good. And both food and drink are reasonably priced. I was getting Grey Goose Martinis for $7.50 but cannot say for sure if it was just on special or not (it was on a Wednesday Karaoke night).
