I see Caitlyn for my waxing needs here and she is fantastic. I can be in and out in less than 15 min for my brazilian with her. I like that she is quick and as painless as it gets. I have had previous waxes where they use like 20 small strips but Caitlyn has it down with minimal pulls. The receptionist is always a little ....aloof here but I have no problems with aloof. I will tell you to plan wisely and make your appointments in advance-they are always pretty booked at least a week out. read more

AMAZING! I got the Brazilian and leg wax combo. I had never been waxed before so I was very nervous. But as soon as I walked in I felt so much better. When I entered the waxing room I felt even better! It was so clean and comfortable. You get a little towel wrap thing and the bed is so comfy! The pain was minimal. I was so scared but it was quick and easy. The Brazilian wasn't my favorite feeling ever (obviously) but it was surprisingly okay. During the leg wax I nearly fell asleep. It was a great experience! Showing your lady area to a complete stranger can be an awkward experience but I was completely comfortable with my waxer. Totally worth the money. I'm only 18- in other words, I'm as broke as they get. But I already have my next appointment scheduled because it's more than worth the price. My only suggestion is to make sure your hair is long enough! My leg hair wasn't exactly long enough so not all of the hair came out. But regardless it was still 100% worth it. I went on spring break right after my wax and I didn't have to shave below the waist at all during my vacation. I HIGHLY suggest waxing at Georgi's! read more

I stopped in and saw Amanda for a Brazilian and brows while in town visiting family.. Great experience! It's my third brazilian and the easiest/ least painful so far. I had gone to Georio's for my first Brazilian wax after reading reviews on line. I am not someone who looks to complain but please take my word and warning that this is the last place to go, in fact don't even put yourself through it. The ambiance was cold and there were no frills: ly down on a cold bed, put your legs in the air and off it goes (with some skin too). Horrific pain like I have never experienced! The woman had a horrible bed side manor as well with no personality. Now that I have had my 2nd brazilllian at a different spa I can tell you that Georgio.'s was the worst experience of my life. Soft wax is a nightmare and hard wax is a must. a loving/friendly person who know how to wax is what you need to aim for! DO NOT GO TO GEORGIO'S! I have been going to Georgi's for about a year now for my Brazilian waxes, and I will never go anywhere else! Even though the drive is about 40 minutes for me, it's totally worth it! The place is so clean and well organized, and the staff has always been gracious and wonderful. My favorite employee was Amanda, she made the waxing experience so comfortable and painless, and I always came out with no irritation, no bumps, no nothing. I am so sad that she's moving away, but I'm sure the other staff members are good as well. I'm giving Georgi's 4 stars because during my last visit, the receptionist was pretty rude (I had never seen her before, don't know if she's new or not) to the point where it made me uncomfortable. I've never had that problem at Georgi's, so hopefully it was just an off day for her. Also, my wax left a little more to be desired. It was pretty painful (and my body is so immune to Brazilian's that they hardly hurt anymore) and I think it was because the girl consistantly was using the same strip over the same area two or three times (or maybe I'm just spoiled by Amanda who was so quick and efficient and hardly redid the same area) She also would fold the strips and place them on my leg (which was weird) which left my legs with some wax on them as I walked out, and she didn't get all the hair along my bikini line. Needless to say I was a little disappointed, and am just hoping for the great experiences I always have at Georgi's during my next appointment. read more

I've gone to Georgie's for about 2 years and generally I'm happy with them. Georgie is very nice. The location is clean and they have very sanitary practices. The only issue I have is their lack of flexibility with appointment times. I have a very busy work schedule and I've asked to modify my appointment (with over 2-3 days notice) 3 times in the last 2 years, and each time they say no, unless my appointment gets pushed way out. My procedure takes about 15 minutes, and I never take up my entire appointment time. Im there every 4-6 weeks. I know how busy Georgie is so I can understand. But I can't wait weeks/month before coming back again if I need to reschedule an appointment with due notice. For that reason, I am going somewhere else where they will find 15 minutes to fit me in. PS- I've been very loyal to Georgie. I've given her personal advice on how to run her business and I never ask for favors unless I really need them to be fit in. I asked for one favor and her receptionist said Georgie wouldn't stay at work until 4:45. You snooze you lose I guess. I wish her all the best because I really did enjoy going there. read more

I've been to Georgi's Waxing Studio several times as I used to work right in downtown Birmingham. It was great getting waxed during my lunch hour as they would do a great and quick job. A few times, they have been able to fit me in for last minute appointments so I really appreciated that as well. I usually do the brazilian and underarm package and it is a really good deal. The waxing itself is very painless, but I do get waxed often so I might be used to the actual pain. The location is great, the waxers and receptionist are very polite and friendly, and the overall experience is really seamless. I am planning on coming here again! read more
