Had pizza from this local place in Coal City. It only has it for delivery and takeout. Geo's Pizza is about the smallest interior of a pizza place there is. Only has a counter to place an order. The prices are pretty good especially for the various lunch specials. Checked it out at lunch, which turned out to be the best time to come here. It's known for the specials at lunch. These are pretty cheap for a pretty good amount of pizza. Of course they have a lot more on the menu. We got a few things. It's about $6 for the Geo's Bread. This is basically pizza dough seasoned with garlic and salt. Comes with a choice of dipping sauce including garlic butter and marinara. It's about $7.50 for the Lunch Special. You can get a pizza with one topping. It's miniature size so it's not a lot. The Geo's Bread is actually a lot bigger than this particular pizza. It's still a good value to be honest. These specials also include calzones and sandwiches if not wanting a pizza. Got to say it's the best pizza around here. It's a small place that only has delivery and takeout. Seriously frustrating. Called and asked if they delivered to my area, was told yes. Placed a 50$ order, given 40min delivery estimate and then was called 25 minutes later by a manager stating they in fact DO NOT deliver to my address. To make matters worse, I was ordering from work for my babysitter and children at home. So, they had to wait an additional amount of time to eat. read more

Best pizza I had so far in America. We stayed in a small town called Braidwood in Illinois last summer of 2009. People go here to hunt or fish for a vacation. The choice of food in the area was very limited. Not to mention those choices were not even good, except for two local fast food. One of them is Geo's Pizza. Oh my gosh! This is even better than the famous Giordanno's Deep Dish Pizza. Back then I wasn't Yelping. So now that I am Yelping and I have come across of a picture that I took-the Mega Meat combo which is sinfully delectable, I decided to make a review of the place that left me hungry for more. That flavorful pan still lingers in my head. Although this review was for the span of the summer of 2009, that 4 months we stayed their became memorable and part of that experience was the most delicious pizza we had so far, and it's better than any pizzas we had here in California. Locals know that this place is great! If you are travelling and happen to be in the radius of this place, I suggest you check it out! We never dine in here. On way out off town going through Coal City stopped to grab a mini cheese pizza and mini primo pizza from Geo's ($12). So glad I stopped there. OMG! The best pizza I have had in a very long time! So filling too that I could only eat one piece of each. And they were thin crust at that. The taste and texture of the cheese on both was out of this world. It brought me back to the long ago days when my relatives would bring to-go pizzas from Chicago to the suburbs where we lived at the time. Not sure what it is with the cheese but it absolutely took the pizzas at Geo's over-the-top. Would highly recommend! Oh and worth mentioning is how busy they were for mid-week and how nice the people working there were. As a carry out that ordered at the counter, people were so very sweet! Hands down the best pizzeria in the Coal City-Braidwood-Wilmington-Diamond area that doesn't come from a gas station. Beware if you order the Geo's Nuggets (aka a sauceless pizza with pizza sauce on the side for dipping). They're pretty addictive, and you may find yourself eating into an oblivion. The pizza is tasty as well. My 'za order is pretty basic with your classic cheese and pepperoni combo, and it's executed just fine. First off, 70 percent of the time the pizza is perfect. But when it's not, the experience is terrible. The first issue I have is with their couponing system. They only have deals for bigger families who place large orders. Ie: good luck finding a coupon for an x-large pizza with 2 toppings on a weekend. IMHO the quality of the pizza doesn't justify the high price they charge without the coupon. Next, customer service is average to poor. They forget the sauces and condiments they CHARGE YOU FOR frequently. I've gotten in an argument with the cashier about the thickness of their crust. I ordered a thin and it was everything but thin crust. More in between there thick crust and there thin. To top off this wonderful review they are sooo inconsistent with their pizza crafting. One day you get a perfect pie (the 80 percent) the next it looks like some flipped the box upside down and set the box upright. the cheese and toppings shifted to one side. And this was carry out. I order from here frequently because the local competition is sub par. And only when I can use the "customer appreciation coupon" ( shouldn't that be offered everyday?) All in all with the competition being what it is you can't expect both good service and good food, so you learn to deal with 50 percent, but occasionally you end up with a 0. We've been getting home delivery from Geo's since 2004. Used to be the premier pizza in Grundy County, probably even got awards. Not now. Last THREE times we had home delivery the pizza was sub par. They stopped coating the dough edges with marinara so outside inch or more bakes bare and rock hard. The vegies are skimpy and thrown in a pile in the center with very little on outside. Saturday night 10/7/17 I ordered $51 off pizza and calzone for family for dinner and settle in for the night to watch college football. One of the pizzas was correct but the calzone was not it was supposed to be Italian sausage but I got Italian beef. So I immediately tried to call Geo's about the mistake but either it rang busy or I was on hold twice hearing the hold music and after 3:00 minutes would just hang the phone up! After, 20 minutes of trying to call. I went out heading to Geo's to to return the unwanted product was delivered to my home. To be met by a woman in her 40's who looked at my pizza box and sort of laughed yup Italian sausage. She goes we'll making me another one and I told her I didn't want another one. I wasn't waiting. I had a hungry to finish feeding because I got half of the FOOD we'd ordered for my family. She's snooty said back to me that I didn't need to be an ASS to which I said back to her the customer is ALWAYS RIGHT. I had certainly done nothing wrong but was made to feel that I was the bad guy because I didn't want to wait for another calzone to be made. I had a people to finish feeding dinner at home and get home and watch the game. The reason I ordered takeout in the first place. She struggled to figure what refund she was giving me back and after came up with a number of $25.40. I took the the $25 but didn't take the $.40 cents to which she threw at the near where I was standing while waited for to process my refund. I understand makes are made but when the establishment you do business with don't have any empathy for there MISTAKES and how they impacts the other party in the transaction. Being called an ass because I said I didn't want another replacement product made and I said I don't care to hear anymore excuses why the mistake was made. I just other customers would have been waiting to pickup the order to hear how this person handled a dissatisfied customer. If she owns the place, she won't for long! She'll be out of business. If she's an employee she needs to be FIRED! I hope this surprises no one I won't be going back EVER AGAIN!! Wow. I am speechless. Neighbors all got together to order dinner on Friday night. Our order was just over $100. We called the order in at 6:35, at 7:35 we called to find out where our delivery was, at 8:00 the delivery guy finally showed with ice cold food. Of course the order was missing the cheese sauce we ordered.....they did deliver the cheese sauce afterward, and it was COLD, ICE COLD. I am completely disappointed in our Geo's experience. My family and I will not eat from this place ever again. Why you ask well for one there were feathers still on my wife's buffalo wings, the roast beef with grilled onions I had ordered was cooked deli meat with raw onions on it (not cooked) and the juice that came with it looked like water. Even the pizza tasted like crap. To top it off we called and complained and the manager who answered didn't care what so ever. The only thing that was good that came out of Geo's was the fried mushrooms. Don't wast your money here. Be sure we will find another place to go for dinner. read more

In coal city there really is only pizza and burgers here. Out of all the pizza places we enjoy Geo's, however customer service (on the phone) is completely degrading when you call. One lady in particular the manager, makes you feel like you are bothering her when you call. If you make a mistake on an order or explain how your past orders had some mistakes, she will let you know (dealing with sizing) she is extremely rude to customers and every time we hear her voice on the phone we make the choice to take our business elsewhere. I truly hope she is not a manager or an owner because she treats people as though she does not want their business. It shouldn't matter how busy you are...treat customers with respect when they would like to enjoy your food. All in all STOP BEING RUDE ON THE PHONE GEOS! I have had Geo's many times it's my favorite pizza in my area so I get it once in awhile out of like 15 times I've had it I've only have 2 bad experiences with it being burnt or the ingredients weren't right. I was really disappointed with this place, so was a buddy of mine I was hanging out with that night. Got a large Calzone, which I've had at another place called Pizza For U. Not only was it far more than them at almost $20, both of us agreed they didn't put enough Italian Beef in it. Also, the woman working the counter wasn't the most friendly person by any means, but the 2 kids working seemed much cooler. The au jus was much too salty as well. this has to be the most overrated pizza i have ever come across. when we lived in coal city from 2013 to 2015 everyone said this pizza was the best in town. geez were they wrong! i ordered the biggest one they had and even then it horribly small. it tasted like something out of a lunch room.... we ordered bacon cheese fries with it and i kid you not we got a fist full salty clump of "fries". the bacon was terrible and was either burned or limp and leathery. not to mention it was expensive close to $46 and the delivery lady was horrible too! she didn't give me back my change that night! she kept an $8 "tip"! a tip that was not deserved if you ask me. remember ads dont equal quality. read more
