Rachelle and Susan always greeted me with a smile when I arrived. They provided me with the estimated insurance and financial information from the start, as well as an estimated timeline. I visited the office every month after my braces were applied and Dr Stafford, as well as his Orthodontic Assistants Jess and Deb, took their time with my exams and explained how things were coming along. Jess and Deb demonstrated how to care for my teeth while in braces and welcomed me back anytime if an issue arose. You will not be disappointed! The office itself is located behind the Livermore Outlets in a small shopping center. Parking is ample most of time except during Black Friday and Christmas when there are hardly any vacant spaces. Inside, you will find yourself standing in a cozy, contemporary style interior. The light blue painted walls (YAY, MY FAVORITE COLOR!) complement the dark wooden floors quite well giving the inside a somewhat luxurious feel.You already know you are going to be in very good hands from the moment you walk in. Annie the dental hygienist is really patient and easy to talk to. She multitasks as the receptionist but she does an outstanding job of responding to calls, texts, voicemails, and insurance inquiries. She will be the one to take your X-rays while filling you on all the details as you go to optimize comfort. Be sure to let her know 24-48 hours in advance to reschedule or cancel the appointments. Did I mention that she also speaks Mandarin and Cantonese? Dr. Young will carefully clean your teeth to remove all plaque, tartar, and buildup from the roots. Each regular cleaning will get pretty deep into the openings but his technique is super gentle. He will not try to advertise a deep-clean unlike most dentists who purportedly preach. If anything suspicious appears on the X-rays he will give you his unvarnished recommendation without aggressively pushing any procedure on you. If you ever need a second opinion from him or another dentist, his door is open bidirectionally. 5 stars do not do this place justice!

I am taking Medi-cal insurance and it's hard to find Medi-Cal dentists who won't request me to do many many procedures, like deep cleaning every year/ descaling every 4 months, before they perform routine dental cleaning for me. I just can't afford it. The first time I saw Dr Young, he said I don't need any of those procedures and said I had done a good job to clean my teeth even I had certain degree of gum recession and bone loss . I followed his advice to have cleaning twice every year. I need to pay one time for myself since Medi-Cal covers only one cleaning a year. He tried his best to remove my dental calculus and plaque. His dental assistant Annie, she is so nice to empathize how to correctly use dental floss, water floss to clean my teeth to avoid deterioration of my teeth. I do appreciate for both of them.
