We had tried out a few vets for our cats - a few different locations of Gentle Doctor - and we always felt they weren't caring enough, and we couldn't leave there without spending $200, minimum! But when we were recommended to try out Millard Vet Clinics, we were happy to try a place that friends and family had loved and had good experiences with. First off, I like the setup of this office a lot. Our cats get very testy when dogs are around, and Millard Vets have a separate waiting room and side for cats vs. dogs, so it's a lot less chance for them to see each other and cause a ruckus. Our first visit, we took both our cats in for their yearly shots and check-ups. Dr. Maria was so kind and understanding, especially with our older cat Conan, who is way more cantankerous than our other kitty. Gentle Doctor always wanted to put on giant gloves and hold Conan down tight to the table to examine and inoculate him, but Dr. Maria didn't want do anything like that and didn't want to traumatize him again with gloves/and restraints. Conan was still scared, though, from the previous place he went, and he was hissing and hiding under chairs and not letting anyone touch him. One of the vet techs is a literal cat whisperer, though, and could pick up Conan with no problem. It's just the way people approach him that escalates his anger/fear, and there was none of that here. Remy, our other cat, was completely fine from the jump, and let them do the check up and shots with no issue. A few days later, we noticed a bump on Remy's leg at the injection site. We went back to Millard Vet Clinics, and Dr. Sam took a look and gave us an anti inflammatory, to not start from the jump with putting him through antibiotics. She even FaceTimed me at home (my husband was at their office and I was home with our other cat), to explain everything and assure me Remy would be fine. Dr. Sam even called us the next day to ask us how Remy was doing, and we were happy to report that the swelling was already going down, and was completely gone soon after. That's just to show you that they are not so quick to throw prescriptions at things, and instead use the gentlest thing for the kitties first, before trying anything else - which I appreciate! We took Remy and Conan back recently for their annual shots and checkups, and Conan was WAY better behaved this visit. Just a little bit of hiding and one hiss, but ten times better than he had been his first time here (and every time at Gentle Doctor). Millard Veterinary Clinics, and specifically Dr. Sam and Dr. Maria are the best. I trust my cats health with them and I'm VERY protective of my cats. So I totally recommend you try them out for your fur babies and see if they are a great fit for you, as they were for us!

I brought my Vizsla to this clinic because he had a bump on his face. While we were waiting in the…read moreexam room, the veterinarian, Morgan, entered with his assistant Brayden. Without explanation, Morgan suddenly lunged at my dog and forced himself on top of him. I immediately shouted for him to stop and asked why he was doing this, but instead of responding professionally, he aggressively yelled at me with eyes wide open, "What are you going to do?!" -- which I took as a threat. My dog, who has never bitten before, reacted defensively because of the way he was being handled. Once they stopped restraining him with such force, he calmed down, and they were able to simply lift his lip to check his tooth -- something that could have been done without the physical aggression in the first place. This encounter left me deeply shaken. I believe my dog was mishandled and unnecessarily traumatized. I have since contacted the police and am pursuing legal action for the safety of other pets and their owners. I do not recommend this veterinarian. In my opinion, Morgan should not be practicing or a part of anything that is in the public with people

If you are looking for excellent customer service, business hours as posted, emergency after hours assistance, reasonable prices, pass up this business! Save your time, frustration, and stress. They DO NOT answer after hour calls the same day and actually have a voice mail message telling the caller to take their pet to Omaha to the vet hospital there, if it is an emergency! Don't expect to be with your pet if you have lab work done and do not pay for an exam - unbelievable! The reason I called the after hours number was to ask why they were not open when I had arranged with the assistant to pick up pills that day to cover the weekend for a sick animal before 5 p.m. on a Friday night. When I arrived before 5 p.m. the lights were out and the door was locked - posted hours are until 5 p.m. I got a call later the next morning after calling twice Friday evening explaining my frustration and concern for my pet. The vet's husband said he told the staff to go home early, complained that apparently on one appointment they didn't get out on time, and suggested I look for another vet since I apparently wasn't happy. Wouldn't you realize as a business owner why a customer would be frustrated with their business ethics and fix it. If I could put down zero stars, I would. I do want to thank you for helping me realize there still are vets like Dr. Pauli that really do care about your pet, fit your pet into their schedule - even after posted hours on a Saturday, listen and analyze what might be causing your pet's illness, seem to care more about finding out what is wrong then how much time is taken rather or how much will be paid, and have the business ethics of Dr. Pauli's generation.
