Today is one of the worst days of my life. I brought my 14 year old cat Lucy Furr in for an ultrasound of her abdomen. She hasn't been eating or acting herself for almost 2 weeks. Despite normal blood work, trying new foods, and giving her an appetite stimulant, nothing was working. Dr. Kluver was so kind and gentle with Lucy. The ultrasound determined that Lucy has tumors in her liver and other intestinal cancers-- she won't live much longer. We've decided to say goodbye to Lucy this upcoming weekend. I'm so grateful for Dr. Kluver for being so kind and compassionate. I tried my best to hold back tears, but I couldn't and she was so understanding and provided me with the kindest words. When someone can give you an inch of compassion on your worst day, you know they're a good person. I highly recommend this place. As I checked out, I felt I was a bit stand-offish to the receptionist and I hope she didn't think I was rude. Ive had my dog for six years and this was by far the best vet experience we've ever had. We had to stop in while traveling to Omaha from out of state. Everyone was so welcoming, helpful, and accommodating from the start. Dr. Kluver was amazing, attentive and thorough in her exam, had excellent bedside manner, made my dog feel at ease, and explained everything so well. Our vet tech (Lauren, I believe) was also wonderful and kind. If my dog needed good care, I would honestly consider driving the 11 hours from my home state to see Dr. Kluver again. A friend of mine found this vet when she needed care for her ailing cat and her regular vet couldn't do the job. She has been a client of the Pet Clinic ever since and recommended them to me. In my short few months here, in Omaha, I sadly have visited twice with my dog but am glad they are available! Though with covid, I haven't laid eyes on the interior, let alone the vet, I feel my fur baby is getting great care comparable with our vet from KC who I adored! I have been able to share videos and phone conversations with the vet staff to get answers to keep my pup healthy. I ABSOLUTELY love THE Pet Clinic! I came here 1st when my very Sick Chihuahua (Ceasar) was overdosed and having kidney problems they were so Excellent they would let me come and see him they called to update me on about every 2-3 hrs, when they closed someone would take him over to The Urgent Care so the treatment could continue then come get him. When I had to put him down they were very caring and supportive of me and my dad. We had gotten a rescue sometime later Rocky (who we still have) at some pt there was something very very wrong w him and it was horrible bc I thought I was going to lose him too. Finally was able to make a decision that he has ibs and with meds is doing great. We couldn't have Made it this Far without this team of staff here at the Pet Clinic! We recommend Dr Hanna she worked with both my boys and Rocky loves her. One of the best vets I have the pleasure of working with. read more

We started taking our Shepherd to Dr Teter around 2006 after a referral from our regular vet, who became ill and later closed his clinic. Our Shepherd required specific maintenance for allergies and Dr Teter was his recommendation. We eventually lost our girl to cancer, but continued to make the 40 minute trip with our new Shepherd, because we trusted Dr Teter. The business has grown and Dr Teter is sometimes difficult to get in to see when needed. However, in the last couple years, we have dealt with two relative newcomers, Dr Turner and Dr Kluver, who are great! Now we have a choice of 3 vets whenever we have an immediate issue. read more

Dr Teter and Dr Rasmussen are great. If you want your older pet to be treated and survive treatment, avoid Dr. Osterholm and Dr. Hanna who both misrepresent treatment details and the health status of your pet. They are both totally unreliable with pets older than 10 years. Left my pet untreated for 5 hours and told me nothing was wrong after surgery. Wrong. When I brought him into Urgent Care, they couldn't believe that he had been treated by a responsible vet. I guess he hadn't! read more

I have used The Pet Clinic for many, many, years for my ferrets. The Doctors (Carol, Wendy, Glenna, Jen, and Doc E) have always taken good care of my girls and boys over the years. The Pet Clinic is by far my favorite vet clinic in the Omaha area, and I've been to a few (just to find the right place for my pets). The vets themselves are caring, knowledgeable, and overall made a great experience for my pets. The vet techs are also very knowledgeable and caring. You can tell the whole staff truly loves working with animals. The only complaint I have is it always comes across that the reception area is unorganized. I've seen a line out the door and the reception people will be chatting and gossiping with someone on the phone or someone there in the office. I think it's great that you have regular clients that know you and you know them, but if you have a line of people (or even one person waiting), please show EVERYONE respect, not just your buddy that's in there all the time. In a way it kinda made me feel less important. Here you are showing all this love and attention to your friend (or even a common customer), and then when you get to me and my pets, it's just the standard treatment. It'd be a different story if I saw this happen only once, but it seems like I see this behavior from the reception staff every time I go in. Overall I love this place (and one of the few clinics that works with exotics), I just wish that reception was a tad bit more professional. read more

Have been coming to The Pet Clinic since 1973. Dr. Curry has taken care of 5 dogs and 2 cats of ours over the years; everything from shots, medicine, surgeries and end of life care. Have seen Dr. Teter, Dr. Hanna and Dr. Everson also. All are top notch. The vet techs are excellent as well. Carl is great with my pit bull. No rush, excellent care from everyone there. Horrible, we contacted them today because they were close and our current Vet was out of town. They were abruptly rude and stated that we could just drop our 7 pound Yorkie off any they will try to get her in. When I stated that I wanted to stay with her, the person who answered the phone gave me one of those ehhhhhhhhhhhhhh sounds. Unprofessional and there was no way I was going to drop my dog off and come back at 5pm to see if they saw her. She is already in pain and needs a vet, who in there right mind would even think about something as unloving as to drop a sick dog off in an unknown place so they can put her in a cage until they have time to see her. I will make sure that everyone knows what kind of place this is! read more

At one time or another over the 12-14 years that I have been taking my dogs to The Pet Cinlc, I have seen every Vet on staff. I could not think of even one time that I ever felt that I didn't have the absolute best care. They helped me through the loss of my first two Dachies, and have treated my current two dogs from regular checkups, shots, to Dr, Hannah saving my sweet Woody from a premature trip across the Rainbow Bridge and Dr Everson's knowledge of laser treatments and acupuncture helped my dachshund Sissy recover from back surgery. read more

I have been very happy and impressed with this place. Dr. Harris is one of the most professional vets I've ever worked with. She took her time and explained everything to me about Stormy and her condition. I was told she's one of "the best vets" in that office. I'm really happy I got her for a vet. She is very compassionate towards both me and my cat. I never felt she wracked up the bills. She always asked me if it would be okay for her to do something for Stormy. I am very happy with this place. Also, she has never treated me poorly because I don't have "thousands of dollars" for the expensive treatments. She knows my financial situation and has been fine with it from the get go. There is only one issue I've had. If you take out carecredit, they ONLY OFFER 6 MONTHS INTEREST FREE. The terms are deceiving. Make sure you know that when going to apply for it. That is my only issue with them not being upfront and telling me that. But the person I talked to was very apologetic for it not being made clear to me when I applied for it. I would definitely recommend this vet and especially Dr. Harris. Two thumbs up from me and two paws up from Stormy. read more

I came to The Pet Clinic after being referred by a friend. One of my cats, suffering from diabetes, was cared for quite well by Dr. Harris. About a year later, I brought my other cat who hadn't eaten for a week after being quite ill. Dr. Everson was the only vet available to me at short notice and diagnosed a possible tumor within just a few minutes and suggested that an ultrasound was the only way forward. After the ultrasound, the tumor turned out to be his spleen, but the next diagnosis was an intestinal blockage (which wasn't really prominent in the ultrasound?) needing another test and probably surgery to the tune of $1500. When I hesitated on the cost, I was given a hard time about it. I took my cat to another vet who asked, "Didn't he do any blood tests?!" Turns out it was pancreatitis easily found with a simple blood test and treated with a handful of pills. The Pet Clinic is a pretty good vet, but your mileage might vary depending on the doctor you get. read more
