Gerald Jones Ford I want to make this as concise as possible I would not buy a car here. You will not get the best deal and they will lie to you . 1 . I was told I would get 90 days of blue cruise ( I don't ) this service is 50.00 a month to do what a Tesla does for free. 2 . They do not assist in helping you find a EV charger installer and after reading many other Ford reviews this is something they usually help with 3. They refused to include a charger ( although after my initial review they did reimburse me 400.00 for one I purchased ) shouldnt have had to leave a review to do what is right 4. I have been waiting for my second key and have even made a trip to the dealership to leave empty handed. 5. They force you to buy optional coverage which is unethical and illegal . ( I have included a picture that shows per the contract the service is optional and not required ) I asked no fewer the 6 times to remove this and they refused . 6 . While the staff tries there best it is painfully obvious that Gerald Jones Ford is all about the money and had I not fought for what is right I wouldn't have gotten anything 7. I was in the dealership a total of 7 hours this is unacceptable regardless of the circumstances. 8. My car has an open recall that they didn't fix so now I have to figure it out and it's making me nervous to take the car on a long trip . 9. They Still use the dealdesk 10. Also a big one ( the mileage on my car is less than the mileage on car fax ... shows tampering If I could do it all over I probably would have went to one of the small Town Ford Dealerships that truly did care about my business . I sold cars for many years and the sales people are not the problem it's management that tries to hide things to maximize profit . We walked into the dealership with a pre-approved loan from our bank. Kirt Dolittle ran my credit to see if he could get a better rate and could not. I decided it was best to stick with my pre-approve loan and signed the paper work. During signing Kirt Dolittle had me sign a form for my bank and let me know when my first payment to my bank was due. I left happy with the whole process. Three weeks later I learn that my loan is not with my bank, the interest rate is slightly higher, and a copy of the form I signed for my bank was not in the paper work. this is a clear case of deceptive lending practices. I have contact the State Attorney General Office, I have talked to legal council, and I have filed a fraud claim with the bank the loan is with. it is insane that dealerships think they can get away with this today. There are so many options to buy used and new cars in the CSRA, save yourself the hassle and go anywhere else. read more

Terrible service even worse customer service. 2020 Ford ecosport took in for engine failure due to recall. Was told it would take months with no loaner available. So bought a new truck just for them to fix it the next week. Then the job was rushed or technician just didn't care. Took it back today to show them the multiple bolts left out which technician said oh I can get bolts and put there. Decorate trim that was over engine gone and all they could say is we don't have it. Huh well it was there when I originally brought the car in. So either you didn't care enough to put it back on misplaced it But the kicker is the technician broke the headlight assembly. I know they did because a different dealership broke the other side and owned up to it and replaced it. So I have looked at both headlights every time I take it in for service to make sure it didn't happen again. But the technician just says oh I didn't break that. Uh yeah you did. He then proceeds to start cussing at me in front of Tom a service sales man and the service manager. How can a service manager allow an employee to cuss at a customer directly in front on him and not say anything. Crazy Then take the technician side when clearly bolts were left out. That alone tells you he didn't do his job correctly. But if the technician was going to own up to breaking the headlight then he would have before even giving the vehicle back so it could have been fixed. Obviously the technician is going to say he didn't break it. Just going to say do you have a picture of before. So I am supposed to take a picture of every inch of my car before dropping off to prove you messed something up. All of this is just terrible. The recall not fixed in a timely manner, no loaner, no appropriate time line of fixing, leaving obvious bolts out, not reinstalling engine wire cover trim, breaking headlight assembly. Breaking the assembly is one thing. Difference of opinion whether he broke it or not. Ok But the obvious bolts missing on parts he worked on. How can you say he didn't do that. And if his work is bad enough that he leaves obvious bolts out how can you trust that he didn't break the headlight when I know for a fact he did. But to just tell me to leave after pointing everything out and his technician actually cussing at me in front of him and Tom. Like what kind of service manager is that. He should have addressed his employee cussing at a customer and at the very least made someone put in the obvious missing bolts and finding out what happened to the engine cover. Again though I know they broke the light. Like 100 percent positive because already went thru it on the other side with Waynesboro dealership who owned up to it and fixed the side they broke. But this dealership just takes whatever the technician said to be true. Guarantee if they were to look at cameras of him working on my vehicle they would see when he broke it. Just like the Waynesboro dealership did. Tom is ok but that technician and service manager should both be fired over their customer service and how they handle complaints. How can you tell a customer to just leave when at the very least the bolts are missing. The. Do not use their service department! I purchased a 2023 Bronco Sport Heritage edition on July 7th, on 31 July the check engine light came on. I was able to get an appointment with service on August 2nd. I only got this appointment by going through my sales agent Ashleigh Dyson (who is the only person at that dealer who is worth anything). I was told that day that I would need a new engine and that it would take 2 weeks. When I called on August 15th I was told it would be ready in early september. At this point I still did not have a rental and was told that there were none available and that I was pretty far down on the waiting list. By the end of that week Ashleigh was able to secure me a loner. When I called for an update in early September I was told 2 more weeks. On August 18th I was told the engine was ordered and in early October I would have my car. Here we are and on Tuesday the 10th I called and was told once again that it might be a few weeks. I have spent $3764.25 on car payments and insurance in the 3 MONTHS that my car has been at the dealer - on a car that I cannot even drive. I drive past the dealer everyday on my way to and from work and it's sitting there, in the back of the lot. A beautiful blue Bronco just becoming a money pit. UPDATE: Because Ford can't figure out why my brand new vehicle is having electrical problems, they denied my lemon law claim. They have to attempt to fix the issue- which they can't because they don't know how. Stellar. Never again. Don't buy Ford, save your money for a company that won't sell you trash at $40k. I bought a brand new Ford Escape 2018 and it's a LEMON. The night I bought it, I told salesman Kermit the remote start didn't work. He said I must've done wrong. I can accept this- except it continued to not work. I've brought it in 3 times- the first time, they said the vehicle believed it had been in an accident. It's brand new! They reset it, same problems persist. Not the proximity sensors go off like crazy while I'm driving sometimes. Bring it in again- electrical lead David takes over. He doesn't want it sitting on the lot (what?) so he gives it back to me while he waits for what Ford says. He didn't remember what I told him and I had to continuously check up with him for nothing. He tells me I need to write down the weather/temperature/humidity/time every time the remote start acts up- why the hell did I pay $40k to do that?! Hell no. I told him to keep it and figure it out- I'm in the Army and constantly leave state for work. He ignores me. My drivers seat buttons & heater no longer work. After an extended TDY, I come back in demanding a manager, I'm done. The service people working the floor were very cordial and helpful. They fix the drivers seat (something underneath was touching but not fully connected). Still have the remote start issue. So now the limited time I have at home with family will be spent figuring out this lemon law. I paid it off as soon as I could, so I have the title, but nothing but disappointment. We called early in the morning asking about a car, and they told us they had it. We tell them we'll come by in one to two hours. We show up, and a sales man tells us he knew 30-40 minutes ago that the car wasn't available because of a recall. So he knew for 30-40 minutes and never thought to call us. We decided since we were there to just see what else was available. The guy only showed my husband the cars on the tablet, tried to bully my husband into certain cars, and intentionally ignored me. Well, I guess he doesn't know that I had the final say. He then wanted us to meet with the manager, and waste more of our time, but I told my husband that we were leaving. They followed us out, and tried to do what car salesman do. I should have knew better coming here based on the reviews but figured why not. Lesson learned, we won't be back. Terrible service dept just don't even ! Had an appointment for 10 am on Friday to get a engine light checked . Dropped my vehicle off at 8 am ,should have known I made a bad choice when barely out of parking lot I get a text saying my vehicle may not be ready until the next day . My service advisor Thomas was notified when I dropped off vehicle that I had a warranty that I wanted to process repairs through . Friday afternoon at 4 o'clock I text service advisor Thomas to at least check on progress no reply , also called and left message with no response . Finally received a text message Saturday morning at 10 am saying my problem had been diagnosed and could be repaired that day. Called and spoke to Jennifer my new service advisor apparently I had been handed off . She said she had no knowledge of me wanting to use warranty and that everyone knows warranty repairs cannot be processed on Saturday! I call back around 11:30 Saturday to speak to Jennifer ( who is now completely unreachable) left message w joy asking if it would be possible to pick up vehicle and bill warranty company on Monday , as I need my vehicle for work on Sunday and Monday no call back ! I try to call the Now unreachable Jennifer again at 1:30 since I haven't had a return call no chance ! Finally at 3:00 I get a text saying my vehicle is ready for pickup I just have to call and pay ! I authorized no repairs at all ! Ridiculous! Why would I pay $ 900 for repairs my warranty covers insane right ? Called back for the 4 th time Saturday almost immediately after getting text only to be told service dept is closed . Would almost be comical at this point if not so infuriating ! Was able to leave message and get a return call from Troy ( service department manger ) at about 4 on Saturday, who was as helpful as his staff which is to say zero !! Appointments are necessary and required. Depending on the time of year scheduling an appointment may means waiting a few weeks for service. It's a high volume service center. The customer service is awesome. The parts team is awesome, they will quote you the cost for a part over the phone. The service team is good. Yes it's a wait due to the busyness of the service department so you can either wait for your vehicle or catch the shuttle to your destination. There's complimentary beverages and snacks. These people will literally do anything to try and make a dollar. I took my car in because there were two recalls. You're not supposed to charge a diagnostic fee for that. They called me and told me that there wasn't going to be a fee because there was nothing wrong with my vehicle. When I go to pick it up, I still get charged $125 for them to literally do nothing. Good experience, so far. I'm visiting the area and had some problems with my F350 on a Saturday. I walked into the service department (as pictured by the dealership, nice gray building, clearly marked)... waited for a tech to finish a call with a customer and then found out there's a separate service area for trucks. It wasn't much of a wait to get that information, so no biggie. To get to the service department for trucks you have to drive around the left side of the main service dept. and through the chain link fence where you'll find a tan metal building with 7 bays. The customer service entrance is on the opposite side of the building of the bay doors that you see when you pull up to the building, there's an awning above the door. A clearly marked sign on the corner of the building would be nice, maybe with an arrow pointing towards the customer entrance. I explained the problem with my truck to the service advisor Doug, real nice guy. He took all of my info, passed me a card, and let me know I could call and check on my vehicle on Monday. The guys in the shop seemed pretty busy with work, and I had alternative transportation lined up, so I didn't mind and didn't ask about a rush job. Other than trying to figure out how to get into the truck service dept, it was a quick and courteous experience. read more

Worst service department. Took our 2014 Ford F-150 in for a grinding noise when the truck was just coasting at a low speed. We were told the transfer case was bad which cost us $2700 to replace. They called and said it was fixed but when we picked it up after paying for the new transfer case it was making the same exact grinding noise. They took it back in and found a shield not secured. After securing it the grinding noise went away. Now we have doubts if they misdiagnosed it in the 1st place. Did we pay for something we didn't need? Obviously the technician did not double check his work and did not take it for a test drive after replacing the transfer case. Either that or he just didn't care because he got paid. This dealership/service department had my car over 30 days to fix the air conditioning. I paid them over 1700 dollars. Not even 24hrs later my air conditioning is blowing out hot air. I call to inform them of the issue which they can not look at until Monday... 3days later. The service manger talked more about the loaner car and how many miles I drove more than the issue at hand. It wasn't my idea to put me in a loaner car. He goes on about the price of the loaner and how much more it cost to loan it to me than what I paid to get my AC fixed. The service manger called me on Saturday to check to see if the AC is still having issues. Well of course it is, the car cannot fix it self, but proceeded to go back and forth with me about about the loaner car again!!! I'm loosing money going back and forth to GA to get my AC services. My car is my BUSINESS...my job! If you can't fixed the issue just say so and give me my money back. How is he more worried about the loaner car? The service manger called just to "make it clear" he would not be putting me in another loaner car because of how much it cost and the miles. I just want my AC fixed. I paid for a service and it was not completed! I'm closing on a house June 2nd in Virginia, and this service department is messing with my time and my money. Used Ford Titanium 2015 with 215 miles on it. On the windshield it said $18,495. Went inside to talk about a price. Then brings out a piece of paper that said $22,995 with $3,000 off making the price of the car $19,995. Told him that's $1,500 more than what's on the window. The window says $18,495. So, if the window price is $18,495, why show me a piece of paper where the starting price is $22,995? Then he proceeded to say, there's nothing out there in the lot that says $18,495. No, I would not purchase a car there. New info: Then he stated the guy did not want the vehicle and wanted a truck. Yet another scam. The dealership was forced to purchase the vehicle back by Ford. Now that tells me something is wrong with the vehicle. I could have sworn when there is a problem, federal law requires a disclaimer. read more

Initially I called to see if my tires were covered under warranty because it is a new truck, I was told yea and was on my way. A mile away I got a call and told it wasn't covered, not a big deal I don't have a problem paying for services. Pulled in, Justin was great, told me it would only take an hour maybe an hour and a half tops. I knew the problems were going to start when an hour 45 minutes later they asked me where the tools were to pull the tire out from the undercarriage. How does the Ford dealership not have these tools? I told them it was were the manufacture had put it and then had to show them where it was. Another hour and a half later my tire was still not fixed and the truck was still on the lift. All for the replacement of a flat tire. Final update. Finally got my vehicle back after a 2nd round of fixes. About a wk ago they contacted my wife that they had a loaner in order to facilitate services on the vehicle. A picture was taken of the engine, the dealership refunded my money for the battery. They also completed the camera work order that was never completed in the first place. The experience went a bit easier the 2nd time, but that's because they called out for their cruel act of charging for unfinished work and pestering them about their wrong doing. At the end of the day. Be aware, you've been advised. Almost 3 months for what was supposed to be 2 wks to a month. The service reps will say anything, be aware of frivolous charges, check for work completed, check for work not completed. They have loaner vehicles there, so don't let them tell you otherwise. At the end of the day, take everything in writing and anything they say with a grain of salt. read more

Although the TCM had been replaced twice and known to have significant issues.... my daughter's Focus was diagnosed to require over $2,000 of repairs that were most likely not required. The day after repair.... it began to have the same issues once more. This time my daughter was in South Carolina and saw a different dealer's service dept. The issue was the TCM... and was most likely the issue to begin with. I am out over $2,000 due to poor troubleshooting procedures and a mis-diagnosis. However, I do appreciate the Gerald Jone's Service Manager's assistance to get the South Carolina dealership to do the repairs on a normally non-service day (Saturday). read more

This place is terrible, especially since the new renovations. Horrible customer service and they honestly could care less about customer loyalty. They changed systems since the new look to their business, which also means new saved data in its entirety. A year ago, they put a new battery in my vehicle. No paperwork needed. I went back today because once again the battery is dying, and they said they needed a receipt for the battery in order to use the warranty. I was never given any receipt since it was replaced automatically under warranty. They pretty much told me I had to pay $170 for a new battery when the one from their company did not even last 3 years. I would advise anyone to not go to this Ford Location. read more

Dissatisfied disable veteran!! I purchased a beautiful new 2020 Lincoln Aviator last year as a 30-year retirement gift and that vehicle has been in the dealership more than I have driven the vehicle. I took the vehicle in for a service due to a noise coming from the under carriage after starting. Everyone can hear the noise but the technicians working on the vehicle. Service recommendation was to record the sound and have another shop document their findings. A week later the windshield required replacement due to water getting into the car and software programming issues were displayed for the transmission. I was completely frustrated with the idea of needing a new windshield on a new vehicle and transmission issues. After this terrible news, I was informed it would take more than thirty days to get a new glass. I contacted the corporate office to speed that process up. I received the vehicle back and it had scratches around the area where the windshield was removed and handprints of a person who failed to clean up the sealant residue that remain on the headliner. The third party blamed it on the car wash I never went through. After two scheduled appointments where Clear View Auto Glass didn't show, their management decided to take no action. Troy from Lincoln was hard press to accept the word of the glass company without a view of the damages himself. The good news, after a sit down with the GM I finally got the car painted. The bad news, camera and mirrors are malfunctioning after a software update was installed that I didn't need (recall 21C09). Again, I have contacted cooperate office after the service manager informed it will take months before the best technician schedule is clear for new appointments. Enough is enough, entirely too many schedule appointments and no results. Corporate has scheduled an appointment at the Ford dealership in Waynesboro, GA as a solution. Jerry Jones management should investigate some of their shop practices. I am completely not impressed with my Lincoln experience at this point. You would think after this many appointments I would at least get one replacement vehicle or rental. Add another excuse for Covid and ensure your warranty doesn't expire!! read more

The first time I had brought my Focus ST in for a simple oil change the techs did a good job. I used my floor jack in the lot and check all underneath to make sure everything was properly secured (ive had bad experiances in the past) and it all checked out good. Recently the car's 5th and 6th gear shift forks broke and i brought it in for a warranty replacement and told the techs EXACTLY what was wrong as ive worked on other ST models with the same problem. My car is stage 3 full bolt on, so when someone floors it in my car i can easily hear it. The tech proceeded to take it to their back lot and slam gears thdn turned it back over to me denying my warranty claim (which i was fine with i just didnt feel like ordering the part) as i left the lost the car did not feel right. As i crested a hill i pressed in the clutch and coasted back down. As i attempted to take off i unfortunately realized that the transmission had siezed in gear. They claimed they didnt get into the throttle that much and then told me they didnt even drive it aside from pulling it around to give me the car back. Mind you i take part in road course track days, auto cross events, and so on so i k ow my car and its engine/exhaust notes VERY well after building it. DO NOT take your car to be serviced here if you want it to be truly taken care of. Please. Just do the work yourself. Its much cheaper and youll learn more about your vehicle. Never again will a dealership touch my car. This one has spoiled the rest of them for me. read more

1st I must say this. Before I could even write this review they called me and questioned me why I posted on Facebook why I wasn't coming back? I told them that I called the service department 4 times to check n my car before i could gt someone to tell me the status of my car, which I finally spoke to someone at after 5p.m. He explained to me that my car would be ready possibly by tomorrow afternoon. My point was I dropped my car off at 8 AM and called at 1PM to see what's going on, then at 2:30 PM, then at 3PM and then at 4:50 PM and waited on the phone until finally He came on the line and explained. For that reason is why I wont be coming back to this location. I don't blame them for my Ford Focus having a horrible transmission because they didn't build this piece of junk(how can you keep putting the same bad transmission in a car 5 years in a row and then you have a world class action lawsuit for it!) All I needed was to speak to someone and explain to me the status of my car.I work 30 miles from my job with no buses or trains so you have someone come get you or you call a cab( not for $60.00) or you Uber/Lyft. to the staff in the service dept, all I needed was to be kept in the loop on my car and you a plus for calling me on you concern why I wont be back. Gerald Jones Ford Lincoln charged me over nine hundred dollars for an air conditioning repair and let me drive off without air and Status: Final. I doubt our Murphy Village neighbors would not do that. I think they have so much work that I got pushed out early in order to meet other customer's repairs. I returned, asked for the service manager and talked to David Stahl. He sat in the driver seat with the air conditioner on max and said he would personally work with me. Yet I had lost confidence and took my car to another business that fixed it. (See attached) I later talked with Mike Brown and Troy Benson. I would not be writing this had a received an apology. Probably over ninety-nine percent of their repairs are good. Nice people, but lack empathy for their customers when repairs are not. This place is terrible .A total nightmare to deal with .They are so SLOW.They do not tell you anything. After a week I told them I would take the vehicle somewhere else. So they finally looked at it but I wish that I had taken it somewhere else. 2000 dollars later the car is doing the same thing it was doing when I took it there. I would not recommend this place for anything not even a oil change. No customer service at all. They had some guy Troy call me after I wrote a bad review and he was very annoyed about it .Well guess what Troy I am annoyed about wasting 2000 dollars .Would give zero stars if it would let me. read more
