My experience here has been wonderful . Staff is very attentive and fast . They will help you with what you initially came in for and they also go above and beyond to offer extra assistance .

The tan building is the truck service dept, past the regular service dept. This is the view as you enter from the front of the dealership.

Good experience, so far. I'm visiting the area and had some problems with my F350 on a Saturday. I walked into the service department (as pictured by the dealership, nice gray building, clearly marked)... waited for a tech to finish a call with a customer and then found out there's a separate service area for trucks. It wasn't much of a wait to get that information, so no biggie. To get to the service department for trucks you have to drive around the left side of the main service dept. and through the chain link fence where you'll find a tan metal building with 7 bays. The customer service entrance is on the opposite side of the building of the bay doors that you see when you pull up to the building, there's an awning above the door. A clearly marked sign on the corner of the building would be nice, maybe with an arrow pointing towards the customer entrance. I explained the problem with my truck to the service advisor Doug, real nice guy. He took all of my info, passed me a card, and let me know I could call and check on my vehicle on Monday. The guys in the shop seemed pretty busy with work, and I had alternative transportation lined up, so I didn't mind and didn't ask about a rush job. Other than trying to figure out how to get into the truck service dept, it was a quick and courteous experience.

My wife's new car thank you and blessed !!!

WOULD NOT recommend using this dealership. My husband and I have had an awful experience here. Our…read more2016 Chevrolet Silverado 3500 Diesel was taken to them for repair, via our warranty company due to a CP4 failure, resulting in us needing a full fuel system replacement. Our truck was previously supposed to be taken care of by another mobile repair company, that ended up not completing the job, leaving the fuel system partially taken apart. The dealership took on the case, knowing this, in agreeance with our warranty company that they would be paid for the repairs. One of the biggest problems is the complete LACK of communication from this dealership. We knew it might take some time to complete, as they stated that they only have one diesel mechanic at this location. The problem is that hardly any communication happened between the time the truck was in their possession, to the time we picked it up, that didn't have to be initiated by US! As the consumer, it's the DEALERSHIP's responsibility to reach out to us to resolve problems, give updates, etc. Not ours. The dealership & the warranty company came to the final price decision on the initial reason it was brought to them. We were told what we would need to pay. The work began. Months later, after many calls and inquiries BY US... the warranty company let us know they paid the dealership. & then TEN DAYS LATER, the dealership finally calls us to let us know the truck is ready for us to pickup. At a MUCH higher price than agreed upon might I add - a $4,000 difference that the dealership ended up removing as that price was not what we were told. We come to pick up the truck, and upon arrival, we notice the front bumper of the truck (which is made of steel), is damaged. It was not like that the day it arrived at the dealership, because we have pictures with timestamps/dates that show how the truck arrived. We spoke with Don & Mike Jones about this, the men who have been handling this case along the way. They agree that the truck was damaged in their possession and that they would take care of it. We were advised to get an estimate for the repairs to submit to them (because we live in South Carolina & they are in Georgia). We get the estimate from a shop here in SC on 2/2/25. We submit the estimate via email on 2/3/25, as well as us TEXTING Mike to make sure he knows we submitted the estimate via email. Since then, it has been radio silence. We have tried calling to get updates, and plan the next steps for them to repair the truck as THEY are the ones who damaged it. And have heard NOTHING. If you want things done in a timely matter, DO NOT GO HERE. If you want honest, straightforward customer service, DO NOT GO HERE. It is unacceptable as a consumer who has paid you THOUSANDS of dollars in repairs, only to now be given the run around due to the poor and careless treatment of our vehicle. We will be filing with the BBB. CUSTOMER BEWARE!!!!

I looked at it and couldn't see any defect. Later, my wife went to a carwash. The wash peeled off some paint from the left front. I took the car back and delt with a young man named Daniel. I half expected to have to argue. I was wrong. He immediately took responsibility and fully owned the problem. His manager had to inspect and approve the repair. On his inspection, he noticed a slight mar on the hood that I had missed. Without me asking, they approved sending the car to a body shop to totally strip down the fender and hood and repaint both. We were given a rental car, at their expense. Most reviews never refer to how a business handles an honest mistake or error, unless it is to chastise the business. However, if our words of criticism are to be taken seriously, then our words of praise for customer service must be spoken as well. Over the past 20+ years I have purchased many vehicles from CarMax. This was the first time I had to take a problem to them. The way Daniel handled this issue has reinforced my confidence in CarMax.

Carmax has been too busy, appointments are 2-3 months out for a repair through the warranty. The only repair shop that accepted Assurant was 1 1/2 hours away from me. I had to file a formal complaint against the repair shop with Assurant the mechanic did such a horrible job with a simple repair. I have had to use outside mechanics to fix the repairs. However, Assurant finds every loop hole possible to deny a claim. I don't believe Carmax did their 125 point inspection on the van I bought. Had they done the inspection, the short in my van would have been discovered. Instead, I have had five breakdowns requiring immediate towing. Carmax service department has not even returned the last few calls I made trying to get an appointment for repair under the warranty. I find the majority of mechanics do not wish to deal with Assurant Warranty as it is too time consuming and the representatives have been rude and not well trained and are quick to deny coverage. I bought a car in Los Angeles from Carmax and had a great experience. However, this Carmax in Augusta, GA, does not even come close to the same standards.

Due to my experience, I would not recommend this dealership to anyone. After my vehicle stalled on Washington Road due to an auto start/stop failure, I brought it to the dealership. Despite my prior research identifying a specific recall and extended warranty issue (23-009) related to my Honda Pilot, the service department failed to address it. They performed two service bulletins (23-008 and 23-010) but ignored the warranty extension. This oversight led to a dangerous situation while I was traveling on I-95, where my vehicle stalled in traffic and failed to restart. Upon returning to the dealership, the staff refused to acknowledge their failure to complete the necessary service bulletins or address the rear suspension recall. Furthermore, the Service Manager, Colby, was unprofessional and dismissive of my concerns. The dealership subsequently attempted to charge me $1,900 for a starter replacement that is directly covered under the recall and extended warranty. Given the lack of accountability and the safety risks caused by their incomplete service, I am deeply disappointed in the quality of care provided by this dealership.
