I do NOT recommend this dealership. I brought my car in for a major repair (head gasket replacement), and when I got it back, it immediately started stuttering during startup and shutdown--something it NEVER did before. When I returned to have it looked at, my concerns were completely dismissed and I was told it was "normal." It was not normal. I took my car to another Honda dealership, and they quickly found the issue--a loose bolt--and fixed it. This is something that should have been caught the first time, especially after such a major repair. Instead of taking accountability or even properly checking their work, this dealership brushed me off and sent me away. The lack of attention to detail and customer care is unacceptable. This whole experience caused unnecessary stress, wasted my time, and made me lose trust in their service completely. Brought my vehicle in to get a replacement part. I did not have an appointment, but spoke with a service rep over the phone. The part arrived the next day. Since this was before the holiday, this was an unknown of when the part would arrive. The part arrived the following day before the holiday break. The service rep was accommodating in getting me to get my vehicle serviced. I also decided at the last minute to get an oil change since I was there to see how well this dealership service is. The service center diagnosis of my vehicle brought back a couple of red flags, two being the engine air filter. When I went checked with another mechanic said the air filter and transmission oil was fine. I noted that and concerned why the service center would recommend a service not needed. read more

Excellent experience with my Accord purchase. As other reviews say the sales staff are friendly, not pushy (like the typical car salesperson stereotype). Mitchell Anderson was great to deal with. Seemed very knowledgeable and at ease which made me comfortable with an experience that's typically intimidating. The sales manager Mike Kelly was very straightforward, and honest which I appreciate. The absolute worst customer service experience. You can't get anyone to actually answer the phone and the automated system doesn't help you. I had a simple flat tire but was told to call the Honda Roadside service because that's the only way to get the service repair covered by Honda. That was a lie. After my car sat on the road for hours I had to call the salesperson I bought the car with because he seems to be the only competent person who works there. He then found someone in the service department to finally call me back and shocker, they couldn't help me. After someone at their office told me to call Honda Roadside I was then told that I was given incorrect information and they would not be replacing the flat tire even though we bought extended warranties. Apparently we didn't buy the right one. Glad we spent over $55,000 on a new car and extended warranties to be given the run around and then told we didn't buy the right extended plan. Bri and Katie couldn't be less helpful. According to them we just "misunderstood." It's not a misunderstanding when you have employees telling you the wrong thing and then not correcting their mistakes. My husband went in to trade in our car for a new one. I honestly wanted to wait and do it back home when we could visit so we could transfer plates, but he caved and so our headache begins. While we struggle to get in contact with the DMV back home for clarification, he's been getting texts from an employee and the financial manager about obtaining a utility bill with an address on it. First they wanted one from our home state that we haven't lived in for several years, then this current address. We then follow up and ask the associate what's the status, and all he says is that, "you should be good". What do you mean -should be-?? I'm honestly not impressed one bit. I've talked to other families who're doing this as well, and they said they've messed up transferring of plates and had to be sent an extension on temporary plates. Some are still waiting and it's been a few months. I feel like they have no idea what they're doing in regards to military families. The employee who helped was okay, getting the car sent here was a one day wait, but I felt the "detail" before handing it over was subpar. They called and said it was ready, but when we arrived it took an additional 20 minutes. They called the following day telling us to come back so they could show us how to use all the features. They could've, and should've, done the day of. I have no issues with the actual car .. at the moment, but I can't say I'd recommend this place to anyone wanting to transfer non-Georgia plates. This time the individual I dealt with was very pleasant and ordered an Uber to and from my house so I didn't have to wait at rind at the dealership. I scheduled my appointment online in advance for 0800 on Saturday. By 1000, my car was done. No issues. I took my car to Honda for service today. After i approved four service items on my phone, the total was $987. After getting off the phone iwth my service advisor, it was $1022. No big deal. I show up in person at the end of the day to pay for it, it was $1155. Disgraceful. I have never heard off a car repair service charging more than they quoted over the phone. Brought my car in. Service center identified the problem as bad fuel injectors. They said "We'll have to order the part and call you wheen it gets in". I picked up my car and returned home. A week later, they called again and said "we have the part. Bring in your car so we can do the repair". We (again) dropped off the car and went home. We received a call later in the afternood that said "sorry, we actually DON'T have the part so come back and pick up your car (again) and well call you (again) when the part arrives. This will be 3 times (assuming it isin't another false alert) that we've taken time from our busy schedule to drop/pick up the car for the same issue. read more

Very unprofessional service overall. Firstly, Honda itself is a crap vehicle. I have had Toyota vehicles all my life. I thought of Switching to Honda when I was looking for new van. Decided to buy an Odyssey (Worst decision ever). This vehicle only looks pretty from outside. I haven't even crossed 30k mileage and already having engine issues. A while ago there was an infotainment issue where the phone would not connect and if it did it would disconnect while the vehicle is moving. Then came the issue of the door and then now the engine has transmission leakage. So, I go to the dealer to get it checked and repaired. Such a nightmare experience at the dealer. Have been there 4 times already and the vehicle is not repaired yet. 1st visit - They diagnose the issue and did some patchwork. It worked for a while and then started having leakage again. 2nd visit - They took the vehicle in, opened up everything and then realized that they don't have the part that they were gonna replace. So I make an appointment again 3rd visit - They open the vehicle again and midway they realise that they will need a speacial tool that they don't have currently so will have to reschedule. I had plans to go out to meet family for the weekend. I had to cancel everything now. 4rd visit - This was today, they take the vehicle back, started working on it to repair. After 2 hours of wait, they came back saying they ordered a wrong size tool so they won't be able to finish it today. I can leave the vehicle and it will be done by tomorrow. (Now I have a job interview in Virginia that I had planned to leave by tonight). So the dealership says we can give a vehicle but can only be within GA and SC. Are you kidding me? Such unprofessionalism. Are you running a dealership? Just take the vehicle back and return the money. I am never ever going to buy a Honda. Especially from Gerald Jones. After 4 failed visits, still could not meet the customer service. PS - I am a healthcare professional. I have taken 4 half days off to get this piece of crap repaired. Should have been better of buying a new car for the time I wasted coming to the dealership. read more

If you think of all the things that make car buying horrible or the many negative stereotypes surrounding salespeople, Gerald Jones absolutely checks off all the boxes. The phrases "over promise and under deliver" and "bait and switch" ring true here as well. After multiple visits over the years, I'm convinced this dealership is bad news. About the only thing I'll give them is that they were one of the few dealerships that could really work with the negative equity on my trade-in. This is where the ubiquitous processing/admin/doc fees, asking price, and other crap get inflated. By the time you're done, the out the door price is much higher than expected. Part of the issues here is that this dealership just isn't equipped to work with less than perfect/A1 credit. The real problem is in the professionalism of the sales team. Sure, they're pleasant, but you can tell they are more worried about making money than taking care of their customers. If you like sitting around for hours, wondering what is going on in the back office and where your salesperson is, definitely check them out. If you enjoy the experience of being assured of one thing only to get a completely different offer hours or days later, these guys are tops! While they have one of the best selections in the CSRA, the overall experience stinks. After their excuses and gotchas, they will try to strongarm you by making you think no one can do better. That is not how you do business with integrity. The only reason I don't give this place one star is because Robert Law in F&I was transparent and actually walked me through his processes. Everyone else left us in the dark. They even did a deal for my friend where they took one of the signers off the call without telling them, effectively leaving them as the sole owner on a used car that was clearly being sold at well above its book value given the condition. I made an appointment in April 2021 at 7:30 am to have my oil change and 15000 miles service. I dropped my car off and had a friend pick me up to for a workout. I told Ryan B I need my car by 1:00 and he said he will try or call and let me know . By 12 :00 pm, I called to check on my car since I haven't heard from anyone and was told they have not even started on my 2018 Honda Pilot. Ryan B then explained to me how they have to get customers who are waiting on site first ( even though I made an appointment). When I left that morning, I was not informed of this. I finally got my car back after 3:00. Overall, this is ridiculous. This defeats the purpose of making an appointment. I also informed them when I dropped the car off that I have an accessible car and need it back to pick my son ( who is in a wheelchair) up from school. They told they will try and I seriously thought they would. BUT, not! I don't even know if they provide good service since i was already frustrated with the wait to get my car back. Overall, I am taking my car to GMC unless it's warranty related. This is frustrating. I do understand store policy, but when a customer specifically states they need their car by a certain time, they should at least tell me and try or call to let me know they are running late. My wife had to get new tires recently. She has always trusted Honda service in High Point nc. Now that we live here in Augusta, she had to go to Gerald Jones Honda. Yesterday, she had a flat tire....went back to Gerald Jones Honda since she bought tires from them. They said someone cut her valve stem. She asked to keep it to show me. There were no cuts at all.....it was an old dry rotted valve stem. No doubt from her original tires. Stems should have all been new after purchased tires, but were not. I looked, she still has old stems in her tires. 1. They did not do recommended stem replacement when they put new tires on 2. They lied about stem being cut. 3. They had chance to make it right and replace all stems but did not....she has 3 more old aging stems on her new tires and one with no cap Very shoddy work that you should never get from a Honda dealership. I purchased my 2014 honda accord new from Gerald Jones Honda and I have always gone to Gerald Jones Honda for my services and when I moved away, I continued to only use Honda dealerships for services. On 12/17/2022, I took my car in for an appointment to have my oil changed. It wasn't until I arrived that Ryan informed me of the new price change. I asked him why he didn't let me know of the dramatic increase (over $100) when I made the appointment. Cold and brash Ryan told me that "I could take my car to jiffy lube if I wanted and that there was one down the street" I asked for the manager and explained the situation to her but there was never a follow up to rectify the mistreatment of a customer. read more

There are some good apples mixed in with the bad but I don't see them doing any sub-standard work which is good. I have had my car serviced here and attempted a new purchase. I ran into varying experiences from employee to employee and one department to another. - Customer service needs help - Passive-aggressive sales manager - Can't beat prices offered in Atlanta for new models - Standard pricing for vehicle services (oil change etc.) - Worse car buying experience out of 4 purchases Things that I previously considered standard at a car dealership are only offered here as incentives to buy such as car washes. I went in to have my car serviced and it came back dirtier than when I brought it in. I was expecting a good shine but I was told they only wash cars that were bought from the dealership. Oh really? I won't say much about my attempted purchase experience other than that the sales agent was very nice, test drive went well and when I was told they could match a quote I had but it didn't end well. At the end of it all, the passive-aggressive sales manager was very rude and I saw right through his cheap tactics. This is my third Honda and I know when you're lying to me. As a note to any salesman reading this, just because you use terms like "true market value" and "dealer holdback" doesn't mean you can confuse me or get me to overlook your inflated fees to feel bad for you. Bought a Honda CR-V on Dec28 & was told I had no choice by salesperson Taylor & her manager that I had to purchase the theft prevention system synchronize (accessory). Got the app over the weekend & vehicle locator is showing the vehicle still in the dealership. These guys gave the wrong serial number to synchronize so my vehicle has never been tracked. Now I'm to do them a favor & send a photo of the right serial number. Never once did this dealership offer any compensation for this headache that I'm in. The five star rating is for her, and her alone. When I purchased my current vehicle from Gerald Jones (I did NOT work with Carrie on that transaction) I was lied to, had vehicles switched on me in the middle of a transaction, and was essentially strong-armed into purchasing the vehicle they wanted me to buy, rather than a vehicle I actually wanted. They took advantage of the fact that my car had just been totaled and I needed transportation to force me into a transaction that I have since regretted. However, I was recently looking at vehicles and working with Carrie was a complete 180 on my previous experience at Gerald Jones. She listens to what you need, works to find the car that will fit your life and budget, and will not pressure you or make you feel uncomfortable or rushed. The car buying experience would have far fewer negative connotations if more salespeople operated the way Carrie does. Generally speaking I strongly advise you to go anywhere other than Gerald Jones, unless you work specifically with Carrie. Unlike every other salesperson I've interacted with there, you can trust that she genuinely has the best interest of the customer at heart. read more

Probably the worst dealership in the CSRA! Why is that? 1. Earlier this year a service advisor named David, had me pay for someone's else's oil change and tried handing me that person's keys. Very disorganized and unprofessional got the service manager involved and issue was resolved. 2. Brought the car back 2 weeks ago because my car was overheating due to a bad engine coolant exchange. Service advisor Linsey told me air was trapped in the coolant system. Got the service manager involved and issue was resolved. Yesterday my car started overheating again and according to the service advisor Linsey it was because of water pump leak and wanted me to pay $859 for a misdiagnosis. They had to order the water pump and I had to leave my car overnight. Got the service manager involved and all he could do was take off half of the price. Apparently the service technicians are very qualified, but I never had bad services like this ever at other places. read more

I purchased my 2022 Honda Accord Sport one year ago at honda cara of aiken. and the service would not help me with none of the vehicles problems.. yes problems a brand new vehicle had within 2 months of having and had no help. so i transferred to Gerald Jones Honda and had great service the first few times. till they messed up and told me i had to pay because i ran out of my free oil changes. so i paid. then the next time i come in im told im good to go and it was free and i had 4 still available. so i then go so why was i told i had to pay last time and etc. they then told me i would be paid the difference the next few times to pay me back which was 4 and now all of a sudden i have one left and not getting paid back correctly for something i wasnt even supposed to pay for. Gerald Jones Honda service will just tell you something and blow it off the next time like they didnt say anything. so highly dont recommend buying a honda in general because after you leave they dont care. read more

They told me you will only get 1k for it and on my paper work shows it was worth 1445$. Why is this important? I could have gotten a better deal of else where. My credit is challenged but not challenged to the point where I need to be charged a 17% APR. DO NOT BUY HERE!!!! I'm filing a formal report on this dealership. Let me start off by saying this is a review of the service department not the sales departments (I would give the Sale Department especially CJ Banks 10 stars if I could. I have purchased three cars from him and he has always gone to bat for me to get me a good deal. He is honest and every time I see him he still remembers me!). The SERVICE DEPARTMENT however has been an extreme disappointment. The last time I took my 2019 Odyssey in to get a patch on my 17,000 mile tire so many things went wrong. 1) the car would not start when they went to take it in for service. They did not call me and tell me this, instead they just replaced my battery (which was under warranty because it was a month old). 2) When I called to check on the status of my car, they did not tell me about the battery and had not even checked the tire (4 hours after my appointment). 3) Then they tell my husband the tires were low but nothing was wrong with them. When he tells them it has a slow leak then they apparently put it on the lift and see it has metal in it...which they cannot patch because it is too close to the tread. 4) I speak to the service technician because this is the SECOND time I have replaced the battery in my van with 17,000 miles on it and she says we cannot find anything wrong with the electronics...must have been a fluke...is it a fluke after I already replaced the original battery just have a year? All that to say....STAY AWAY FROM THIS SERVICE DEPARTMENT THEY DON'T SEEM TO HAVE A CLUE. read more

I must say out of all the Honda dealers in my area Gerald Jones is by far the best. They are very welcoming when you arrive, great you with a smile and gets right to work. I often come without an appointment and still don't stay very long. One of the manger's in the service center is a lady name Jamie. I absolutely love Jamie...she is so full of energy!! Upon completion of your service the service rep explains all of the findings and what you need. The service rep doesn't try to pressure you into getting any extra service. One thing that I absolutely love about this place is the free carwash!!!! I truly love Gerald Jones Honda!!! My place to get my accord serviced. read more

Purchased a starter assembly for a generator though ebay, and through all the emails the contact there was Nicholas H.. The original purchase went well and the part was correct and functioned after install the problem was it only functioned a couple times before quitting. Contacted Nicholas H. via the email and after much back and forth after him initially saying he would replace the defective item the email became inactive all communication stopped all without full filling the promises made. Called the auto dealer part of the offerings they have, who were all helpful and ensured me that my name and contact information would be given to Nicholas which I believed happened. The conversations also confirmed Nicholas still exists there. Apparently Nicholas caught COVID and was not there for a period of time and I was told it could be a couple days before I hear, well it has been weeks and still nothing. The multiple emails for Nicholas H. offered tails of setting up stuff with fed ex, numerous will ship next week mondays none of which happened. They say all the right things but the execution does not exist! If you want tales of good service without the service this is your place. read more

CAR BUYING My car had died (for like the 8th time) the night before and I needed a new car. My husband and I had already been to the dealership to buy a car weeks earlier. After walking out because the desk manager and salesman were idiots, we decided to talk to someone else when we returned. The salesman was really cool and actually listened to everything I was looking for. We ended up in a brand new Honda Civic. Because this was the first time we bought a car and we mentioned that we were in NEED, I'm sure he took us for our money (trust me, my payments taunt me every month). Also they had some promotion saying that if you bought a new car you got a Honda lawnmower. We mentioned it and was told since we qualified for 0.9% financing, they couldn't give us both (seriously). Well I needed a car and not a lawnmower... If you want a brand new Honda, I think this is the only place around. Just stick with your gut and don't be afraid to walk away if you're not feeling it. SERVICE I try to always get Don as my service advisor if possible, he's pretty funny. It always seems to take longer to get my car back than they expect and they're always leaving at least one window down (sucks when they do that and it's raining). It also takes an hour to get your car washed (which is free when you mention it while getting any service). read more
