Yeah, it hurts. But get over it, and get your treatment done! Repeat: GET IN, AND GET IT DONE. The longer you delay, the greater the damage done to what could still, otherwise, remain a beautiful smile and a happy chew tooth! I had three dangerously abscessed teeth in my lower center / left jaw that required immediate extraction. When one of them finally fractured after biting down on a fragment of a beloved Kit Kat Bar, exposing the nerve with its accompanying escalation into a throbbing pain, I realized that I may have waited too long. My existing crackerjack oral surgeon had retired, but as his successor the low-key Dr. Doan and his diligent, friendly staff at Heritage got me right in, took one + look at those ailing choppers, and scheduled me for surgery right away, in fact on my 70th birthday. And what a birthday present it has been! While I cannot say with a straight face that the numbing process was pleasant, still it worked quickly, and upon efficient completion of the surgery by Dr. Doan and his assistants it is undisputed testimony to the effectiveness of this surgery that, within 48 hours, this now Septuagenarian (?) was back to putting in in an active, energetic 14+ hour work day with no residual fatigue when I finally got home to animals waiting to go out and be fed. And the cost was reasonable. But key above all: Without the surgery, who is to predict how badly my state would have continued to deteriorate. And now my condition continues to improve, even if from time to time I must emit a muffled ⁉ grunt to interact intelligently with others until I can get a partial set of dentures! THANK YOU, DR.
