I've been going to Dr. Haze since I was about 10 years old, and I'm 46 now. There is simply no better dentist. Over the years, all of my kids have become his patients too, and I can honestly say I trust him completely with my family's dental care. Dr. Haze is one of the kindest, most compassionate, and most experienced dentists you will ever meet. He genuinely cares about his patients and even takes the time to personally call after dental procedures to check on how they're doing. That level of care is so rare these days. Recently, my daughter had a dental emergency outside of office hours. I reached out to Dr. Haze, and he called me back personally, helped get her started on medication, and had her in the office first thing Monday morning. My daughter is absolutely terrified of the dentist, but he is incredibly patient, gentle, and reassuring with her. He has made such a difference in helping her feel comfortable. Uncaring and disrespectful. I lost my retainer. I had a meeting scheduled. They rescheduled me. They did not let me tell them about the missing retainer. They rescheduled my appointment, 5 months later and then told me "It's too late to give you a new retainer. You have to start all over and pay us $5000 again. Sucks to be you." I also tried reaching out to them about my complaint, and they didn't even return my call. They just don't care. They just want another $5000 from me before they'll see me as a human being. I do not recommend this dental clinic. They seemed nice when you talk to them but they will milk your insurance. They are super pushy too. We were told my wife will only need 3 appointments for her crowns but we ended up having 5 appointments and a bunch of last minute reschedules which wasted some of our work leaves since we have to take leave from work just to go to those appointments. They assured us that we do not have any balance to pay since we paid the co-pay already and after several months past we got a bill saying we have to pay another $99. Pushy as hell about getting the gum scraping. I must've had at least 3 different employees in the same visit try to convince me to do it. I kept telling them I didn't want it. I came in for a cavity on one side of my mouth and had them fill and drill a tooth on the complete other side. Then when I asked if they were gonna do the other side, they said it would need to be a separate visit. Promised when I came back, I'd get the power flosser for your gums. So I came back for the fill and when I asked about the flosser I was told that's only if I got the gum scraping too. That is not at what I was told. Literally the pushiest people I've ever met in my life. And not only did they screw up my teeth on the opposite side, I now have a HOLE there because the filling broke, and the other side still hurts. :( Will NEVER go back again!! read more

I frequented this location for about a year but had to stop after having a bad experience with front desk staff and care provided by the providers as well as statements being sent to my house of supposed missing payments that I had already covered ahead of time. First of all, I don't understand why there was an urgent push to remove all 4 wisdom teeth when only the bottom 2 were causing problems. I was shown my x-ray and the dentist would not stop pushing to have me remove all 4 wisdom teeth rather than the bottom 2 that I had requested. Reluctantly I put my trust in their expertise and had all 4 removed. After getting the first two removed I went to the front desk to schedule my next appointment, I figured the staff would be smart enough to understand that, after having two wisdom teeth removed and having local anesthesia in your mouth, speaking might be a bit of an issue. I was communicating with my phone typing out what I needed to communicate, and the staff was increasingly getting annoyed at me as if it were my fault I couldn't speak. I was in pain and my jaw was numb...you'd think staff working at a dental office would be smart enough to keep that in mind. I got through that, afterwards I go in for a deep clean. I am told my dental insurance is not fully covering both sides so we have to make separate claims. I agree to do so, I get my cleaning done and I pay everything in advance. I triple check with the staff if everything is paid in full and I won't have to deal with anything later, they assure me so... a couple of months later I receive an outstanding balance of $40. It's incredibly frustrating to have to deal with this after requesting that they ensure everything is paid out. Now they keep pestering me for $40 that appeared magically. You can decide on your own if you would like to be treated here but this was my experience. My husband has been a long time patient of Dr. Haze. I needed to find a new dentist out here in the Antelope Valley, so I decided to go where my husband goes. When I first arrived, the lobby was absolutely packed with people. This is a large dental facility and it seems as if they are doing dental cleanings, day in and day out! It appeared as if the staff at the front desk were overwhelmed, but they all kept a cool head and they all were friendly, and patient, with everyone. After filling out the initial paperwork, they finally got me into one of the rooms about an hour and 15 minutes past my original appointment time. I didn't mind this because it was my regular day off from work, so I had time to spare. They made sure that I had brand new x-rays completed even though x-rays were previously done at my old dentist 6 months prior. Even though there were a lot of people in every room, I didn't feel rushed throughout this process. I had a nice dental hygienist and she explained each of the steps with me: visual inspection, cleaning, flossing, and so on. Afterwards, Dr. Haze came in to introduce himself. He's a sweet and soft spoken man, and assured me that I would have my teeth for the next 100 years. I've had a pretty extensive and traumatic dental history, which includes multiple extractions, teeth shavings, spacers, retainers, wideners, screws in my jaw, braces for three separate different times, and a seizure after one of my operations, as I didn't know I was allergic to laughing gas. He showed me on a photo chart where he could see some damage due to grinding my teeth at night. He then showed me some additional dental work that needed to be done- unbeknownst to me. I had seen my old dentist for approximately 30 years. I had always been very consistent with my dental appointments, every 6 months, like clockwork. I'm actually glad that Dr. Haze was so thorough and pointed out the additional dental work that needed to be done! I go back at the end of next month for my treatment, which is out-of-pocket, but I don't mind since this dental work should've been done a long time ago. After my appointment was over, I was taken to another room where finances were discussed with another sweet and helpful young lady. I didn't feel as if they were trying to get everything they could out of me or trying to "con me" into something I didn't need. I felt as if they genuinely cared. Horrible experience. Just care about maxing out your insurance. Glad that I had this experience because after my treatment is done. I will no longer be a patient. My family will also not have any dental work done here, ever! My appointment was for 1:30, didn't leave until almost 5. New patient start up and as soon as I get in Ingrid and Michelle L put me through the ringer to get x rays waiting over an hour. . Equipment breaks down and I await patiently and the staff is very apologetic. I get x rays and the treatment plan is done. Im seen by one dentist then created by he head honcho dr H. They appropriately discuss what's best and allow me to pick without them being pushy on services. Everything is here so it's a one stop shop. Root canal happening in a couple weeks and I am very pleased with the plan and how to mitigate costs while focusing first on getting my mouth painless. I was told I needed a root canal and was given a price that only covered drilling the tooth down and it was not communicated to me that after that I would have to pay extra for the tooth to be filled back which was not a reasonable amount so now I am still with no filling and with a hole in my tooth. when I expressed my concern Dr Haze was rude when speaking to me. The wait time is long to see Dr Haze. You wait close to 1 hr to be taken back. The waiting room gets very uncomfortable after a while. Then, after being taken back to exam room, you wait another 30 mins to get seen. He overbooks appointments and is doing 4-6 procedures at the same time. He numbs you, then leaves 10 minutes, then does a small procedure, leaves again for 15 mins to do another procedure. You spend a total of 2-3 hours in the office. I understand he is an exceptional dentist, hence the long wait, but it's too long for me. read more

Every time my husband and I come here, we have waited a ridiculous amount of time in the waiting room before we get called in (as well as then waiting for an x-ray, waiting for the hygenist, then waiting for the dentist to do the final exam). Today, he waited a good 40 minutes. There is no reason to wait in the waiting room for that long for a simple basic teeth cleaning. If there are not enough rooms or too many appointments are booked, then there should not be so many patients booked at the same time. My start to finish for a basic cleaning was 1 hour and 45 minutes (also too long) when I have lots of other obligations to do as well. My waiting room time was 20 minutes and someone that came after me was called in before me. Once I had went in, I then had to wait another 15 minutes for the x-ray, then another 10 minute for the hygenist. Once she cleaned my teeth, I waited 30 minutes for Dr. Haze to do a quick exam. I like Dr. Haze and the hygenist, but we do not have the time to spend almost 2 hours at the office for a regular cleaning. I called today to talk to Lisa, the office manager, who is not in currently. When I was there for my appointment and asked about the wait times, they said that is how it is unless you schedule an 8am appointment. That is not how it is at all offices so that's not a satisfactory answer. I have been coming here for quite a few years now, but wait times have not changed. I also called last week Tuesday since I had questions about my appointment and insurance, nobody called me back. I called back yesterday and finally got an answer. Please don't tell a customer you'll call them back if you're not going to. I hope that Dr. Haze will take into consideration people's time and can have the office manager efficiently schedule patients and appointment times, as I know I am not the only one that has had this experience. I have a baby at home and cannot spend that much time away from home and hire a baby-sitter for a simple procedure. He explained to me that currently he is understaffed with dental hygienist and apologized for the long wait.
