We're so glad we found this dentist office! I never thought I'd say this because I usually hate going to the dentist and get so much anxiety just thinking about it, but as crazy as it sounds, I actually had a really good experience. It honestly felt more like a spa for your dental needs. From the moment we walked in, everyone was kind, welcoming, and genuinely seemed happy to be there. You can tell they have a positive work environment, and it really shows in the way they treat their patients. I had the pleasure of speaking with Jess at the front desk. I had some confusion about the cost breakdown and she took the time to explain everything clearly. Dental costs and insurance can be confusing, so I really appreciated how patient she was and how easy she made the process. During my visit, I had a deep cleaning and some fillings done. My hygienist, Monica, was so gentle and reassuring. She knew I was anxious and checked in throughout my cleaning to make sure I was comfortable. Dr. Oh was wonderful. He's personable, thorough, and takes the time to answer all of your questions. Kevin, who assisted during my fillings, was also kind and helpful. I never felt rushed, and everyone made me feel comfortable throughout my appointment. My husband also had a great experience with his deep cleanings and fillings. The care itself was excellent, and he was happy with his treatment. I also appreciated the little touches that made the experience feel different from a typical dental visit. They have TVs above the chairs so you can watch a movie or show while getting work done, and they even give you a warm towel afterward that smelled like peach mango. It was such a nice touch. The only feedback I have is more about the office operations than the dental care itself. My husband's scheduling felt a bit disorganized. He received multiple calls asking to reschedule his appointments. On the day of his last visit, he was also asked to come in earlier and had his hygienist changed at the last minute. His appointment still went well, but the scheduling process could definitely be smoother. I would also recommend keeping track of your remaining balance when checking out. On separate visits, both my husband and I were initially quoted a higher remaining balance than what we actually owed. It was corrected once we brought it up, but since it happened to both of us, I think it's something the office could improve. Overall, we've had a really positive experience and this has definitely become our new dentist office. Last week, I had the "Godzilla" of toothaches. I called, spoke to Daisy. She got me in QUICK. I was greeted by Daisy, and Sarai. Not 5 minutes later, Doctor Vu came in. She is a great listener. She truly hears my complaint. She determined I needed 2 molars removed. Right then and there, she took me thru the process, explaining what she was doing. 10 minutes later the offending molar, and the broken one from above, were removed. The pain IMMEDIATELY stopped. Let me tell you, the pain felt like it was going thru my eyeballs. WOW, what a wonderful group of folks they have here. If you need a dentist, don't look anywhere else. I only gave this dental 3 stars doctor oh is great and his dental assistant was awesome but the lady in the front who does the insurance needs to work on customer service she came in and informed me the cost to recement the crown would be $114.00 because my insurance portal. Was down and that's not my fault she could have gone the extra mile and call the insurance company get a authorization and what my outta pocket expense but noooo she made me pay everything up front and now I have to wait 21 days for a refund and that's not fair I called my insurance company and my co payment is only $50.00 for the recement the crown I deal with customers all the time and I always bend over for my customers this lady did not even care she just took my money she gave me no choice I read more

Came here 6 months ago for an exam and x-rays with my husband. Everyone was very nice. The place was very clean which is one of the most important things we look for in a dentist. Pricing was mid to high, so we decided to wait. Fast forward to today my husband had really bad pain in one of his molars so he wanted an extraction ASAP! When I called to schedule a same day appointment I was glad we were able to get accommodated. However, I didn't like the way I was told "the Dr had recommended a root canal". I said yes but he just wants an extraction. Then was told "well if you get an extraction we have to do a bone graft and prepare for implant". I said again no we only want an extraction. Then "well then we're going to need an updated x-ray to ensure there's no changes from the last time". I said that's fine we can do that. It just felt as though they kept pushing to get more money out of. So much so that we almost didn't want to come in. We finally show up, he gets the x-ray, and then Dr. Oh begins the extraction process. He was so patient, made my husband feel comfortable and at ease. I asked my husband if he felt any pain during the process and he said no! The Dr had a good hand and did a great job! I was so happy to hear that since he's had horrible experiences. Absolutely amazing experience here today! I'm a new patient and very afraid of dentists. Everyone in the office was so kind, happy and thoughtful that it put me at ease immediately. Here's the short version: Kind, caring staff, who truly care about you, and who helped me when I was in a tight spot. And they simply charged me the co-pay. There are so many ways they could have tried to take advantage of the situation: only one day until a major holiday, and it was 30 minutes before closing. Yet they endeavored to do their best work, with a kind and caring staff, and a financial charge that was simply the co-pay. But I urge you to read the rest if you want to hear about a place staffed with kind and caring people, who happen to also do solid dental work. I live in Los Angeles and was in Palmdale when I happened to visit this dental center. I hadn't been there before, nor since. But it only took one visit to realize it was staffed with kind and caring people, from receptionists, to assistants, to dentists. I came in out-of-breath, and very anxious. A crown came loose in my mouth, and I needed to get it cemented back into place. I knew I really needed a new crown but did not have the time for what is a much longer procedure. This happened on Thursday, November 16th, 2023. One week before Thanksgiving. Friday would be my last chance before the holiday week began, and I did not want to go into the weekend without the crown on. The crown had come off during a late lunch at the Palmdale Mall. I quickly searched Yelp for a dentist office nearby. The AV Sierra Dental Center had a strong rating and plenty of reviews, so I took a chance and drove straight there. They closed in less than an hour, and the two young ladies at reception could see I was anxious and concerned. The exposed gum in my mouth was already red, and I could feel the mildest of throbbing had begun, and I knew it would only increase as time passed. They took my insurance card info, said a dentist could see me, and within minutes I was in a dental chair. They cleaned the area around the crown, and then cleaned the crown that had come loose, which I'd put in a napkin in my pocket. They cemented it back on, and when I bit down on it, it was perfectly aligned with the rest of my teeth. The entire visit did not take long, and with my insurance - which they accepted - it was merely the co-pay. As I write this, I apologize to them, as I intended to write it within days of that great experience. Nonetheless, I'm finally sending this, and may I say that Kayla, Jenny, Kevin, and I believe Dr. W were all terrific (I wrote their names on one of their cards, but my handwriting is terrible). I recommend this practice as having both solid dental work, and sincere, kind people that care about you. This review is a bit long, but you know what? When someone is angry or furious about a business, they have no problem writing a lengthy diatribe laced with profanity. I am very impressed with the way my first appointment went today at AV Sierra! First, everything was very clean and COVID precautions were taken early on. Starting with a Covid screening sent via text, sanitizing upon entering, distancing, masks.. etc. The staff are very friendly and attentive. The hygienist Alyssa is so kind and knowledgeable. She really took the time to explain my X-rays and shared a few tips that will help improve my overall oral health and hygiene. This was was important to me because I know I've neglected my oral health in the past and want to take better care of it now. Dr. Oh saw me afterwards and was very welcoming. I recently went in for a cleaning. I was paired with dental hygienist Mansi. I have to say, when I come Back for my next cleaning, I will insist on having her for my appointment. The quality of the work was exceptional, she has a very soft hand. She made what is otherwise an unpleasant experience quick and easy. I love this dental office and have been coming here for years. I recently had an issue with a sensitive tooth that was starting to become painful and Kayla at the front went the extra mile to get me scheduled as soon as possible. The problem with my tooth was not clearly apparent with the first set of X-rays and so Dr. Oh ordered additional X-rays at different angles so that he could fully determine the scope of the problem area. Turned out that I had chipped my tooth in an awkward location and cavity had formed behind it inside the tooth and along the backside of this molar. Because Kayla had tried so hard to get me scheduled on short notice, Dr. Vu worked on me initially to get me prepped and then Dr. Oh had an opening in his schedule that day and was able to get my tooth repaired and looking and feeling back to normal. I know that my last minute visit took much longer than they initially expected and I am so thankful that they were able to work with me while not sacrificing on quality of care and the work. The dentists and staff here really care about how they treat patients and want us to feel comfortable and informed throughout the entire process. The office is really clean and modern and they have the newest equipment from what I can tell. A+ all the way and highly recommend. read more

I have to give them a 5-star rating because for the first time in a long time, they've helped restore my faith in going back to the dentist after a decades-long hiatus and just after being traumatized by a recent visit elsewhere prior to coming here. The last hygienist who saw me, he really manhandled my mouth. He was so abrasive to where I felt more in agony just sitting there while he dug his hand into my mouth! I came in with a toothache, but came out with a sore mouth and tears in my eyes. I knew I'd never be back. So glad I kept my appointment with AV Sierra Dental Center, so they were able to see me the next day. After speaking with their staff, I felt a sense of relief come over me, as I was about ready to extract a tooth worth saving just to get rid of the throbbing pain. Dolores, one of their main practitioners (PA), offered alternatives for helping to keep my tooth. She really made me feel at ease and made sure my experience with them was different (nowhere near traumatic) than the previous. I had the pleasure of getting to know their team of professionals: Cynthia (dental assistant to their onsite specialists), Giselle (hope I'm remembering correctly)--their payment plan coordinator who got me set up for the Care Credit right then and there, Dr. Trang (onsite specialist) himself who performed my root canal with such gentle hands, Dr. Voo (who will be doing my crown tomorrow), and the lovely ladies at the front counter (receptionists) who helped accommodate scheduling for my appointment visits.
