This was such a fun and unique store! I have to be honest, I've never had the need to get any shoes repaired, but I did need to get a new set of keys, which gave me an excuse to stop in. Well, I can definitely say that I'm glad I did! The store was (obviously) full of all kinds of shoes, most of which were old-fashioned, but a few of which were new-school and from the 21st century. They had mainly dress shoes made of leather, but also some high-quality work boots and tennis shoes. I loved looking at all of the cool machines, none of which I had ever seen before! All of the staff members were very nice, and let me get a close-up look at them working their craft. The lady who cut my keys was very nice as well, and was kind enough to chat with me about the store for a few minutes. All-in-all, even though I didn't need to get my shoes repaired, this was an awesome shop that I loved walking around in for a little while. 1 out of 5 stars I dropped off my girlfriend's purse here to be repaired as a surprise for her and it turned into one of the most frustrating experiences I've ever had with a business. It's been over two weeks, and not only did they not fix the purse, they somehow "lost" it for days and never once called to update me. I had to keep calling and stopping by just to get any kind of answer. When I finally went in person, the purse was right there untouched, sitting exactly how I left it. No repairs, no effort, no communication. Then, to make things worse, the woman at the counter tried to act like it was my fault. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was honestly unbelievable. They might be fine when it comes to repairing shoes, but they clearly have no clue what they're doing with purses and even less when it comes to customer service. This was supposed to be something thoughtful for someone I care about, and instead, it was a complete disappointment. If you value your time, your belongings, or your peace of mind, take your business somewhere else. This place is careless, unorganized, and simply not worth the stress. read more

I paid to have a pair of shoes that I love resoled and the sole started peeling off within a couple days. They told me to bring them back but I was on a business trip and they were my only shoes I had brought. I had to use E6000 to reattach the sole which actually held up much better than whatever they used. When I called to let them know, they did not seem surprised at all and didn't offer a refund. read more

What a wonderful shoe library. I saw the old, sun bleached awning with the words "Shoe Repair" as I was driving through 5 Points Area and realized that my dance shoes had gotten quite haggard. In a bid to revitalize my dancing kicks I popped in to check and see if this was maybe a more reputable establishment that their sign led me to believe. Indeed, their profit seems to be reinvested in great merchandise and a silly wonka-esque assemblage of shoe machines. The repair person at the desk let me know that if I was interested in any of their shoes they would work with me on the price. I immediately fell in love with a pair of blue suede shoes (and a boarded the plane). With shoe trees, a new pair of shoes, and a free shine on my old dance shoes, my order came to 60.68. A damn bargain, if you ask me. This is all without mentioning how pleasant the service was. It was a wonderful experience. I have a new pair of Louboutins that I wanted the red Vibram sole protectors on and I brought them here. I told the lady who helped me that I lived over an hour away and would like to get them back the same day. She said they would try their best. I stayed around and ran some errands and less than 2 hours later, they called to say they were done. I could not be more pleased with how they turned out or how nice and helpful the staff was here. I shipped my shoes to them on Monday and got them back on Thursday, all in the same week. I am quite impressed with the fast service and the work.
