This was such a fun and unique store! I have to be honest, I've never had the need to get any shoes…read morerepaired, but I did need to get a new set of keys, which gave me an excuse to stop in. Well, I can definitely say that I'm glad I did! The store was (obviously) full of all kinds of shoes, most of which were old-fashioned, but a few of which were new-school and from the 21st century. They had mainly dress shoes made of leather, but also some high-quality work boots and tennis shoes. I loved looking at all of the cool machines, none of which I had ever seen before! All of the staff members were very nice, and let me get a close-up look at them working their craft. The lady who cut my keys was very nice as well, and was kind enough to chat with me about the store for a few minutes. All-in-all, even though I didn't need to get my shoes repaired, this was an awesome shop that I loved walking around in for a little while. I'd recommend anybody else in the area do the same!

It's been over two weeks, and not only did they not fix the purse, they somehow "lost" it for days and never once called to update me. I had to keep calling and stopping by just to get any kind of answer. When I finally went in person, the purse was right there untouched, sitting exactly how I left it. No repairs, no effort, no communication. Then, to make things worse, the woman at the counter tried to act like it was my fault. The lack of professionalism and common courtesy was honestly unbelievable. They might be fine when it comes to repairing shoes, but they clearly have no clue what they're doing with purses and even less when it comes to customer service. This was supposed to be something thoughtful for someone I care about, and instead, it was a complete disappointment. I brought in a few belts, and instead of simply punching extra holes, he carefully measured and adjusted each one to fit me perfectly. Lyusik is incredibly skilled, creative, and thoughtful in his work. His prices are very reasonable, especially considering the quality he delivers. At first he may come across as serious, but he has a subtle, dry sense of humor that makes the experience even more memorable. Pros: - low to no wait to get service -multiple dressing rooms so you can try things on as they are helping others - they do offer excellent work - timelines provided are accurate - couple is courteous, helpful, and thorough in their recommendations. Always happy to support a family business. - large parking lot so never any issues getting in I only have one con but it is it important. They are the most expensive place I have tried in the area, that includes alteration shops by the lake and in forest acres. I would say they are $1-$5 higher on every single service than anyone else in the area. If the location and the speed of turn around is more important that you might be okay with it, but for me, I would only use them as a last resort. The work is good but not worth the extra ticket costs, for me, when others off the exact same level of service.

The sleeves were perfect in length and you could not tell the trim had ever been removed and reattached! I've been coming to this place for several years now. They do alterations and shoe repair. I've…read morenever used them for any shoe repairs, but I've used them to hem my slacks and skirts. They've always done a good job for me. Also they've always had the altering done on the day and time that was promised. I noticed the last time I was there, that payment was due in advance. I guess they've gotten stiffed a number of times. I've been pleased with their work, and I'm sure I'll return the next time I need an alteration done.
