Has taken 5 trips to shop to get proper part ordered and installed. Communication with customer…read morewas poor and coordination between shop and corporate was also very poor. My inital appointment was rescheduled because 4 techs called out. I went to the shop 2 days later for an appointment because of rain. They told me at that appointment after taking my car into the shop that the wrong part was ordered. They orderd the new part and rescheduled for the follwoing wednesday. I return to the shop in Latham and was told once again the wrong part was ordered. They assurred me the correct part would be there the following Monday and scheduled me for Tuesday between 12 and 5 at my house. On Saturday before my appointment the corporate safelite office called me and asked for a picture of the window that needed to be replaced. They had the vehicle in there shop twice before this. Tuesday arrived and no call/ no show by the technician. I stopped in the shop on Wednesday and was told the part was ordered but had not come in. I asked if she could verify delivery date of the part. She called the local BMW dealer and found out corporate ordering has inquired about the part but did not order/pay for the part. She got corporate to order and pay for the part to be delivered the next day. The part was not delivered on Thursday, but it was delivered on Friday (today) 3+ weeks after initial claim put in. I arrived today at 10:20 AM for my appointment. At 11:30 I was told my car was done and keys were handed to me. I went to look at my car and noticed the there was tape residue from the charsh wrap they placed on the broken window. I went back in to ask about the tape residue and the tech said he tried to remove it but he could not get it off. A second tech came out took the car and removed the residue. Why if you have a customer who is obviously upset and been to the shop atleast 4 times would you not verify the quality of the work before sending back to the customer? The vehicle is fixed and appears rto be done correctly, I am waiting until the first rain or carwash to ensure there are no leaks.

My only complaint was when insurance was debating if the car was going to be a total loss, Gerber stated they don't work on total loss vehicles - thus Id have to have the car towed someplace else. (if I wanted to buy it back from insurance) Fortunately, the insurance company did not total out the vehicle so I was able to have it repaired. They even washed the car and buffed the hood. I dropped the car off that day and picked it up the following morning with a brand new window. Additionally they vacuumed all of the glass out of my car. There was a moment in which I was slightly skeptical, as they informed me that the power window was not functioning properly and "needed to be reset by the dealership". Prior to picking up the vehicle I called the dealership to confirm this, and received instructions from them on how to re-calibrate the window. Upon pick up, one of the guys working helped me to so- it seems to be working well. All of the employees were extremely polite and easy to work with. They said it's not their responsibility to remove all the shards of glass. They also pinched the rubber gasket around the outside of the glass so it split in several places, leaving no seal. They broke the latch on the trunk so it could not close properly. Like a final punch, they installed an aftermarket window that makes it appear there are 2 vehicles instead of one when you look in the rear view mirror. When we asked them to fix their mistakes they said the car needed to go to a body shop. Zero responsibility taken. Would never use Safelite and would never recommend.

I just went back with my 2016 RAM to get the bed sprayed and I had the vehicle undercoated. Rick does great work! Neat, clean and quality work. He uses a brand called 'Ultimate Linings' which is a great product. Thicker and a better quality than the other brands. I traveled two hours to go to Performance because no one closer carried the Ultimate product. Rick also does the job right when he properly preps the area being sprayed. Reasonable prices to protect a valuable vehicle.
