Wow! I really can't say enough nice things about Gerber Collision & Glass (on Willow St NE in Atlanta)! By far it's been the most superb customer experience I've had - across any industry. This team is TOP TIER! After being in an auto accident, and having to "chase down" the other driver's insurance to get my vehicle fixed, I was already annoyed with the process. But from my first call to Gerber to the moment I walked into the location to turn in my vehicle for repairs, this team treated me like I was their #1 priority. Warm, friendly, welcoming, knowledgeable, accommodating, professional - I could go on and on! They really know what it means to put their customers first! The repairs were done very quickly, and with great quality (highly recommended) but I can't stop acknowledging the staff! During my repairs, I received an appropriate level of follow-ups and estimates, etc via text, email and even the occasional telephone call. Each one detailed, with relevant information for me in the moment. My insurance company sent me to this location after I filed my claim. It's really stressful and annoying to have to deal with a car accident and I will preface by stating that all perks are mostly dependent on your insurance policy (mine was USAA). That being said. They made the process so smooth and the turn around was quick for our situation. They completed the repair faster than estimated. The staff was very friendly and the Manager, Charles, was receptive to our inquires. We wanted them to make a minor change and he fixed it in minutes. At pickup, we were even able to leave our rental car with them and not even have to deal with Enterprise. I hope to never have to deal with a collision repair again but if I do, I'm going back to this place. read more

Like everyone else here - including yourself probably! I was sent here by my insurance company after a collision. To keep it simple, Gerber did what I needed them to do which was replace the entire bumper and the windshield wiper container. They did it quickly and matched the paint 100%. I have to give full marks for their customer service though, they were super amazing. It's a good place if you have to go for collision repair. They were quick and helpful and that's about all you need. read more

I really wanted to be a returning client to gerber as i was pretty satisfied with the work and service they provided in general. I brought my car in back in February per my insurance company to have some work done. I also decided to have them fix some other things that i paid for out of pocket. The sales guy asked me if i wanted to replace my wiper blades- they were worn down so no problem. A few weeks later, the wipers flew off my car during a storm as they were not the right fit for my vehicle and installed incorrectly. I contacted gerber and they said to go to the nearest auto part store and replace them for my safety and they would reimburse me. After several attempts to reach out via phone and email, i have yet to be contacted back or reimbursed. read more

I've used Gerber for a few repairs and was originally happy with their service but I won't be returning. I needed my driver side mirror replaced last October after it was side swiped. Gerber replaced the mirror without issue but, after taking my car on the interstate for the first time, the glass inside my mirror was shaking so violently, you couldn't make out cars behind you. This turned into a never ending ordeal. They replaced my aftermarket mirror with another aftermarket mirror, free of charge; unfortunately, that mirror also vibrated on the interstate and city roads. Finally, they replaced it with a proper Honda mirror, again free of charge, but it still hasn't fixed the issue. It's been almost a year and my mirror still shakes. I'm so frustrated with this company, I'm taking it to a different body shop to try and fix. This doesn't even begin to mention the headache of dealing with the staff. Expect to be on hold for ungodly long times, not have them call to inform you your part has arrived, and not have them return calls when they tell you they will. I spent $250 out of pocket and should be able to work with this company until the problem is fixed, but I'm so exhausted with their nonsense, and seemingly never fixing the problem, they can just keep my money and I'll go elsewhere; at this point, it's worth it to not deal with them anymore. read more

I was sent to Gerber Collision & Glass by the at-fault's person's insurance company. My car had minor cosmetic damages but, shortly after my car was hit from the back, I started to notice an outage in my back doors (they came to the conclusion that it wasn't accident related; strike one). It was very ironic that I didn't notice the damages before the accident. I let it go & planned to just get a second opinion to present to the insurance company . . until it was time to pick up my car. I got to the lot. We had a little discrepancy about the payment (not Gerber's fault, but the insurance company's) . . Pay, finally get my keys to my car, my car is completely dead & in worse condition than when I dropped it off to be repaired. Zach Posey (who was soooo helpful & sweet the whole time) jumped my car for me to get back to work & offered to follow me in case it cut back off. I go back to work, car won't start . . I get it jumped again to get home . . Stop by the market, car won't start! This is a 3 month old battery that was purchased 3 months prior to being on Gerber's lot. I had to jump my car every single time I turned off my ignition for 3 days in the cold w/ a toddler!! I went to buy a battery out of my pocket after leaving a message to Gerber to return my call. I still couldn't wrap my mind around why I was coming out of pocket again for something I had just purchased!! I get in contact w/ the store manager KEVIN WILLIAMS to express my concern & to discuss a monetary reimbursement as I felt this was an issue on their behalf (not accident related but, carelessness). If you have to jump a customer's car to leave your lot, you should show some kind of consideration. THIS MAN WAS SO RUDE! He was talking over me, yelling, telling me how "he didn't care", & hanged up the phone!! I am far displeased w/ his customer service & my complaint has been taken to Corporate. We came here after we were in an accident that we were not at fault. Everything looks good, however we asked for a quote on a scratch and never received communication or the quote we asked for. They also collected a deductible from us wrongfully and our insurance is now sending us a check and has to re-issue payment to Gerber minus the deductible we shouldn't have paid. read more

So.... I've had the unfortunate pleasure of dealing with this place on multiple occasions. The first time I came was when my car was totaled out, after being in a car wreck within my first two weeks of living in Atlanta. That experience was pretty simple, they called me after a few weeks and said that my car would be totaled, I came and brought the title and that was it. Now my most recent experience with this place has been a headache beyond belief! I was in another car wreck (yup that's Atlanta for ya!) and I had to have some very minor repairs done to my car. This place is close to where I live and they were one of the "referred shops" offered by State Farm. I brought my car here and after a week, they were finished with the repair. I had to have my front bumper and side panel replaced. About a month later, I happened to be out and needed to give someone a boost on their car (I carry booster cables with me and was glad to be able to help since no one else was able). I open my hood and after we finished with the boost, my hood latch would not shut all the way. This was NEVER an issue prior to bringing my car to Gerber. So after trying to figure out why it would not close, I decided to take it to another shop closer to where I was at the time. This shop did not charge me a dime to examine my hood latch, but the first thing they asked me was had I had any work done on my car recently. I replied "Yes, just last month". Now this mechanic, who has no relationship to me or is not on my payroll stated "your hood latch mechanism was bent and the shop that did the work on your car either broke it or bent it and did t bother to repair it after they finished the work on your car". He advised me to take it back to where I had the work done (Gerber). So I call Gerber and of course, I had to wait a few days for them to call me back to speak with them and they took responsibility for the damage and said they had to order a part, once the part came they would let me know when I could be scheduled to bring my car in. A week later, the part arrives (during this time I was not able to drive my car due to potential safety hazard of my hood flying up and blinding my vision of sight / or shattering my windshield. They did not offer me a rental either so I had to get one on my own during this time. Once the part came, they scheduled my hood latch repair for a week later. I get my car back and it appears to be fixed (for now). A few days later, I decided to get gas and I go to the gas station. I push down on the latch to open my gas tank and my gas tank does not open. Very strange, there was nothing wrong with my gas tank latch before having Gerber work on my car and it happens to be located next to the hood latch mechanism. I call Gerber AGAIN but this time I am advised to bring my car ASAP. I stop what I had planned to do and bring my car. They immediately deny that this is their fault and also stated that they only fixed the hood latch as a courtesy and that issue was not their fault either. I find it strange that I had no issues with my car until bringing it to Gerber. Needless to say, I left because they were causing a scene at their place of business by saying I didn't know anything about cars. Also while i was there, there was another customer who had brought his car their and it was broken into on their property..... YIKES! I highly recommend NOT to bring your car here for service. Sorry but my insurance company which is USAA recommended Gerber and I thought I was doing the right thing because I like USAA. Gerber did an okay job but had to take the vehicle back a few times to address problems (wrong and non working parts). To this day after about a 8 months things they said they would take care of are still not done. The last word I got from management is I would not drive that vehicle it might be dangerous. My question is if it is dangerous why did you let me drive it out of your shop when Gerber supposedly fixed it. I cannot recommend Gerber. I give them a minus 1 review. read more

Update: Gerber Corporate took full responsibility and resolved the issue. However, the resolution took from October until January and included a complete lack of professionalism from management of the Willow Street location (and many attempts to make us pay additional costs for their mistake). Gerber is a good company generally. Avoid the Willow Street location. Go to Cheshire Bridge. DO NOT TAKE YOUR CAR HERE UNLESS YOU WANT ADDITIONAL DAMAGE TO YOUR VEHICLE. Took my mercedes here after someone rear-ended me. Simple fix. Got my car back, and now the radio doesn't work properly. My radio was working properly before the wreck and an entire month after the wreck. Then take my car to Gerber and as soon as my car is returned to me, the radio doesn't work properly. This body shop in Conyers, GA was recommended to me by a gentleman at the front desk of Pep Boys. He could not say enough about them and in his opinion, they were the absolute best. Well, now I cannot say enough about them. What an awesome team and people, courteous, pleasant, treat you like family, fast and dependable and they coordinate everything for you and you don't have to worry about any details throughout the entire repair, because they update you daily by text at their progress on your repair. Nicest people I have come across in a very long time. Did an absolute fabulous repair on my son's vehicle and it came back clean and shining like a new penny. I was in an accident not too long ago and I was advised to come here per my insurance. First and foremost it took way longer for my repairs then I was told. Which I guess is to be expected. I was told three days and it ended up being two weeks. When I picked up my car the exterior repairs were ok. But as soon as I drove off of the lot my AC stopped working (which was one of the major repairs). Also, I was told that my breaks would be checked out and fixed and those are now screeching each time I drive. I called them immediately and was told I had to wait until the following week to even get my car seen. I went back on a Monday. I was reassured that everything had been fixed and the issue was minor. Here I am again two weeks later and I am back at square one. I now have no AC for the third time as I am traveling for a week to 5 different states. I am beyond frustrated that everytime I get behind my wheel I have to worry about if my AC is going to work in this 90 degree weather. No one is compensating me for everytime I have to take off of work or leave school to bring my car in. This is absolutely absurd. read more

Gerber was recommended to me through my insurance company and I was very pleased with their work and customer service! My car was damaged in a hit and run (missing mirror, dented doors), so I choose one of the suggested shops from USAA, not having any prior experience with the shop. Gerber quickly gave me a call to set up a time to come in and get an estimate done on the vehicle. From there, they scheduled my appointment to drop the car off, as well as scheduled my rental car to get me on my way quickly. My car was towed to the Decatur location to expedite the repairs, which was much appreciated! I received a call every other day, sometimes daily to provide a status on my car's repairs and when I could expect to get it back. They also were in contact with the insurance company and handled all paperwork. They were very timely and friendly at both locations. Upon receiving my car back, they did an excellent job repairing the damages as well as on the new paint job. Not only that, but they totally cleaned it inside and out! Good as new :) No complaints! Would highly recommend if you are looking for a repair shop in Atlanta! read more

There is a reason this shop is recommended by insurance companies. Its emphasis is on doing each job as cheaply as possible. Your car will be mostly fixed with aftermarket parts which won't line up as well as the originals did. (I took my car back and they improved on their original work somewhat, but you can still easily see the misalignment between a replaced fender and a replaced bumper cover.) I also told them when I brought my car back that my external temperature gauge was reading much too hot, but they did nothing about that. I eventually discovered that instead of reattaching the sensor to the grille like they were supposed to, they just left the sensor sitting on the floor of the front valance, a couple of inches in front of the radiator. Shoddy work. Again, I think insurance companies recommend Gerber because Gerber bends over backwards to fix cars as cheaply as possible, but if it's not bad enough that the shop used mostly aftermarket and recycled parts, the staff are also sloppy and inattentive to detail, and it shows in their work, unfortunately. If anyone ever runs into me again, next time I will just go to a dealership body shop. Almost has to be better than this shop. The person who hit me had the same insurance co. as I did, and I am going to switch insurance companies after being steered to this subpar body shop. read more

Jim, the GM, went out of his way to make get my car repaired at a reasonable price. He kept me updated on how the repairs were going and when it would be done.
