I live in south Florida and I have a Tesla model Y, someone hit my car from behind. I was looking for a good body shop that does good work in south Florida for Tesla's and everywhere I went it was a minimum time of 2 months to get my car fixed. So I heard of D & I body shop from a close friend of mine that got her car fixed from them, so I gave the shop a call and right off the bat they made me feel very comfortable, they were very honest. I shipped my car to there shop and within 1 week and half my car was fixed! I've never seen such good work by a body shop before. They also helped me find new tires and rims. they also dipped my brake calibers in a baby blue which was so beautiful! Ben is the manger and he's really helped me throughout the whole time keeping me updated with my car. I wish I could give D & I TEN stars! They could not have done a better job getting my dream truck back to PERFECT after it was broken into. They're friendly and personable, communicated clearly, made everything as easy as it could have been and the quality of their work is AMAZING! How long did it take? I dropped my truck off on Monday and it was ready to be picked up 4 days later on Thursday afternoon! This was a shock because I planned on having to wait a while for them to get some hard-to-find parts. They also did a fantastic job on my window tint that needed to be replaced, making sure that both windows matched perfectly. There is a really good reason that this shop is in the top 3 of the most highly rated shops in Atlanta. In fact, their customer service put the other "most highly rated shops" to shame. D & I is also a local business and not part of some national chain. This means owners who are present, hands on and personally stand behind the excellent work they do. I can tell you this, NO ONE will ever touch any vehicle I own if I need paint, bodywork, glass repair, wheel repair, window tinting, vehicle wraps, stereo/speakers or custom body parts installed. If anyone I know ever has a vehicle that needs some love, I will make sure they take it to the experts at D & I. I really wish that I had gotten them to replace my broken window because dealing with_____________ (rhymes with Apelight) was a total nightmare. These guys put the satisfaction of their customers FIRST and you will see the difference. Most body shops in the area had a long wait list but not this place! De'Anthony H was so professional, patient, and thorough. He explained the process and worked with my insurance company. His supervisor was cool too! There were no surprises, and I only paid the amount that was on my estimate. I have been in GA 10 years and been in 3 car accidents (hit from behind x3), and one accident where my cousin hit a bus in my car. D&I has fixed each and every one of my vehicles like new since 2009. They worked with the insurance company and it was super easy and quick. I didn't have to do anything put pick up my car. Today, I mistakenly swiped my boyfriend Immaculate Genesis G80 coming out the garage door. (He was super mad). I immediately without calling went in spoke to my good friends at D&I and literally 30 minutes later my boyfriends car was perfect as it was off the lot (and before my mistake), I did not have to break the bank, and my boyfriend was impressed with the work and not mad at me anymore. My experience at D&I was extremely pleasant. Not only was Rusty (the sales manager) an agreeable and friendly guy, but he gave me a discount on the work on my car because I was a student! He stuck to his word and the estimate he gave me and even when they found additional damage after taking off my bumper, they didn't charge me for it. In addition, he guaranteed me the day that it would be done and it was done on that day by closing. They even offered me a ride to and from the place when I picked up and dropped off my car. Refused to provide a rate on the phone, insisted I drive in for a quote. When I asked for a manager, they hung up.

This place does a great job as they should, however, the owner Danny is very greedy and will charge u every cent to make up for what he feels he should've received from your insurance company. Although Danny has an alliance with neighboring tire shop next door, he charged me regular cost for mount and balance of 4 tires although insurance paid for 2. After picking up car and paying for deductible and cost of mount and balance, Danny request that I give him 3 wheels back so that he could get money for core charge of the 4 wheels I was forced to upgrade to because they couldn't find the fourth one. Let me be frank: these guys are the best. If you want to be treated with respect and to get an absolutely pristine vehicle back, then there isn't a better option. Period. Ben (office manager) gave me an accurate quote that was extremely reasonable to get a nasty dent fixed on my Shelby Mustang. They fixed it in 3 business days and gave me back the car perfectly washed and waxed. Paint blended perfectly. Somehow, they even got rid of an interior rattle that had been annoying me. I didn't even ask them to do that! OH - and they fixed a scuff on my wheel. Didn't ask for that either, but that's just the kind of people you'll work with here. Bottom line. I was recently involved in a car accident that caused major damage to my 2002 Toyota Rav-4! I was made aware of this bodyshop by my local Firestone, and immediately drove over to D&I get an estimate. I needed a new hood latch, repairs on my hood hinges, a new hood (as well as the accompanying paint job), a new front reinforcement bar, and repairs to my horn. As a college student, the owner and his son, Ben, made sure that I understood what needed to be done and didn't mind constantly updating my father. Not only were they willing to knock off as much as they could from the total price, my horn only turned out to need some wiring repairs which they did on the house. My hood's paint job looked incredible, matched my car and came with a lifetime warranty. These guys are pleasant, funny and not looking to just fill up their pockets. D&I is, for sure, my new go to body shop. Quality work for a fair price. read more

This body shop has HORRIBLE customer service. I was involved in a carjacking that happened a little over a month ago, my car was found but I needed to have some minor repairs made to it. My insurance company dropped my car off on a Friday, I arrived to the body shop the following Tuesday (because they are closed on weekend) to see if they had begun working on my car (to my surprise they had not). However I did not make a big deal out of it, instead I asked the mechanic when would he be done making repairs to my car he said it would take 5-7 days. So I waited on his phone call until the 7th day and still heard nothing! Again I just figured he was behind so I waited a little while longer, by day 10 of waiting I finally decided to call and ask what was going on and when would it be ready. I was told my car wouldn't be ready until 5:00, because it was "wet" and they could not proceed to the next step until it dried. So I said okay, and I prepared to be at the body shop by 5:00. Due to letting some time pass I arrived at 5:30. When I walked in and sat down, I was asked did I have the money to pay for my car, (as if I was not capable of paying for the services that had been done) I replied yes I do, as I prepared to pay I pulled out my checkbook to write a check, and the mechanic told me that he did not accept personal checks. Only debit, or cash. (I was not advised of this on previous visits, so it baffled me that the mechanic had decided to say something about it once I was ready to pay) Because of the large amount of money I owed I could not withdraw the amount from a ATM or swipe on my debit because there's a limit I can't exceed without notifying my bank before hand. Before leaving despite that they aren't open on Saturdays. The mechanic said he would be at the shop working on his own vehicle and that I could come back between 10am-2pm to pay the money. So I got up early retrieved over $4,000 in cash for his services, caught a ride over to his place and arrived a little past 10:00 only to see that he was not there. I decided to sit for awhile and by awhile I mean about 2 hours and yet he was still a no show! Talk about beyond pissed! My purpose of doing this review is to just be open and honest about this body shop, in my opinion unless you're white, you probably won't get the customer service you deserve! I picked this place because I loved the work saw on their website, but it's certainly not worth the hassle they put you through. There are many other places in Atlanta that will provide good service for your car and good customer service to you! I am highly disappointed with the customer service provided to me. My entire experience here was wonderful! They saved me money, and my car looks great! I dealt mostly with Rusty, the manager, and he was very helpful. Rusty gave me a very accurate estimate for the body work I needed done, nearly the same as the insurance company's estimate. Body work? For what you ask? Well, a sex-crazed deer hit my car. Yes, he hit my car, inside Atlanta, on Shallowford Rd. He forgot about that invisible wall called "The Perimeter" that he's not supposed to cross. Mating season caused all kinds of problems for this poor guy, including running into the front left side of my car. I needed a new front left fender, a new hood, a new left headlight, and my driver door repaired. All repainted and blended, or course. Not only did D And I Body Shop complete the work beautifully, within budget, but they completed it in THREE DAYS. Initially they thought it would take 5-6 days, but they got it done in 3 days and saved me mucho dinero on my rental car! They even washed my car! Dani, the owner, was incredibly nice and waited an hour past closing so that I could get there after work to pick up my car. Two friends came with me, to give me a ride. My friend who drove had a headlight that had just gone out, and he replaced it right there on the spot! He didn't want any compensation for the bulb, but we insisted. He even gave me and my friends a tour of the shop. Very cool. He showed us one of the cars they worked on for one of the Fast and Furious movies, as well as a custom kit car he's fixing and an old VW he's rebuilding. They also do work for one of the Falcon's players. Anything you need done, from basic body work or paint, to rebuilding a classic, these guys can do it! Again, I am so happy with the job they did on my car. The paint job is beautiful, and it looks like new! P.S. There are many more 5 star reviews on here, but for some reason yelp.com is hiding them. Those hidden reviews, plus the ones on Google, were the reason I decided to go with this shop. You'll only find great things written about these guys! read more

This is a pretty late review, I received service from them months ago, but it was so great I felt I needed to write a review now that I'm on yelp. I'll start by mentioning that I first went to get quotes from my hometown of Peachtree City, thinking prices would be cheaper outside the perimeter. I checked out D & I just out of curiosity, and it turned out my quote was about $200 cheaper than anything in Peachtree City and it was going to take 2-3 days less time. Since I live in Midtown that was a no-brainer. Plus they were very flexible about when I dropped it off. Very friendly service, and my car looked good as new when they were done with it! read more

I've been in the unfortunate position to be hit twice within two months, when I had never had damage to my car after moving to Atlanta. I decided to try this repair shop due to location alone, but I can now say that I have my first "go-to guys" for my car. Not only was Rusty and staff pleasant, but they went above and beyond to make sure my needs were met with the repair, the rental car company, and the insurance agencies. At first I just wrote it off, since they were getting paid for a service, but I realized over time that this was truly a shop where I felt I trusted the skill level and the people, themselves. $3,700 in repairs. Small accident. They did everything they could to make me happy. After the repair, and my inspection of the car, I found a flaw in the work. It was where the fender met the wheel well - it wasn't perfectly flush. So they fixed it and had it to me next day - no charge of course. Really nice guys too. If your a pessimist, don't go to this body shop. They don't cater to nervous nellies. They are not nervous and don't even know how to handle anxious people. They're polite and all that, but the actual auto work is what they focus on. Being picky is fine, I was picky, but I saw another review from a customer who was never charged one red cent, who slammed these guys. So I'd say I was optimistic going in based on a great recommendation that I got from a very picky friend of mine. My friend tells it how it is, so I wasn't worried and as it turns out, I had no reason to be. These guys earned their five stars from me, and I'm sure they will again on my next auto body repair. read more

As a whole, I do not typically write reviews, but after the experience with D & I, I felt compelled to do just that. The simple version, if you need your automobile painted, take it to D & I for a fair price and outstanding service. I was searching for a body shop to repaint my mother in laws Honda Civic. I researched four other body shops before I decided to call D & I which is less than a mile from our home. From the first call they listened to my concerns, spent the time necessary to explain their process and gave me a quote over the phone which never changed even after reviewing the car's condition or when we asked to add a few items. The work they did was outstanding and the price was very fair. I worked with Danny the owner and he could not have been any nicer or more accommodating. Even more impressive is that my mother in law who speaks very limited english had to go in a few times and they were very accommodating with her which almost never happens. She keep saying how Danny was so nice to her and made her feel like the most important client they had. Great to hear! As a small business owner I realize just how important this type of service is but also just how non-existent it is in the US these days. Small businesses like D & I and owners like Danny should be rewarded for outstanding service and value and I will definitely let others know about my outstanding experience. This is the second time I have taken my car to D & I Auto Body Shop for auto accident repairs. They were able to take my car in the same day both times and finished the repairs in the time quoted at the best price with the best parts. My car was new AGAIN!! I got in a small accident after just recently moving to Atlanta. Not only was I concerned about founding a reliable place to fix my car (only 2 years old) but I was in a new city and wasn't sure how to find a good place. I looked on the Yelp reviews and Google reviews etc and got a couple different estimates but those required me to get off work early. I found D & I Auto Body and they were open until 7!! I couldn't believe it. So I called and spoke to Gustavo who was very personable and said they're open and come on by- so that's exactly what I did. I got an estimate in just a few minutes from Ben, and then I brought my car in a few days later to have it fixed. While it was there being fixed, I also called to ask if they'd take a look at my back bumper (a completely separate issue). Gustavo gladly said they would take a look at it for me, and the next day he called back to tell me how much more that would be and I said yes please fix that as well. So they fixed the repairs that I initially went there for along with something minor that was completely separate, and it was all done in the time they initially said it would be. AND when I went to pick up my car (about 6:15pm on Friday night) it was vacuumed and cleaned out inside which was such a great surprise when I was so happy to get my car back. The repairs were perfect and the paint was all matched perfectly and looked like brand new- I was so pleased! Overall, I was completely blown away by the service at D & I Auto Body and Gustavo, Dani and Ben were all so great and definitely exceeded my expectations. My old civic was in need of some sprucing up inside and out. Gustavo took the time to explain their car painting procedure, rest assured this is no quick Maaco crap operation. Being a '98, it didn't make sense for me to invest in a full paint job. Gustavo could tell I was disappointed, so he recommended some other options in my budget: restore the headlights and repaint my peeling spoiler. In addition, he replaced my broken hood latch and review mirror at a reasonable price. The repairs were done in a timely manner and all communication with Gustavo was friendly and quick. I CAN NOT stress enough how big of a difference head light restoration makes. If that's the only thing you do to your car, do it! They honestly look brand new and make the whole car look better. Now I look at everyone's headlights and judge them!! Also, I went in a second time so they could finish another little repair and while the tech was working, he thought he messed up my AC, so he tried to repair it. After having no luck, Gustavo asked if I had been having and AC trouble. I told him I had an intermittent cooling issue but I hadn't thought to mention it to him. I was very impressed that the were trying to take responsibility and not send me out the door with an AC issue. He even filled up the freon for me! One last thing, he also have me the code information for my airbag, the light had been on and I hadn't had a chance to bring it anywhere yet. They don't handle those types of issues but at least I had a heads up before I went to the dealer. A+ experience! read more

I have a custom painted bicycle that had a pretty deep surface scratch. I work a couple of blocks from D & I and thought I would bring it by to see if they sold a product that could help me fix the scratch. The gentleman working at the shop came out to my car, assessed the damage, and returned with a towel and a couple of bottles. After several applications and some elbow grease, he was able to fully remove the scratch. He told me not to worry about paying him anything -- that he was happy to help. Just recently got my bmw painted there. The experience was great. Rusty and the whole shop have the best customer service. I've been to so called certified bmw collision centers (United Bmw in Gwinnette) and their work and service suck. But, if you take your car to D&I you're treated like family. Took a tour around the shop and was confident that my car was in good hands. I've took my car for a front bumper and a trim piece without an insurance claim.
