I have not been involved in an accident in many years. I was referred to City Auto Body Shop. My car was picked up, worked on and completed before the insurance company could send the check. They are definitely a very busy body shop. While waiting I realized each customer that came was either a repeat customer or referral. That alone states a lot about their level of service. After picking up my car I returned the next day with another car with damage on the entire passenger side. The estimate that he gave me blew me away. We struggled to find an auto body shop in Atlanta that did not have a 30 to 60 day wait before they would even provide an estimate. We found City Body Auto and we were provided an estimate right away. Though there was a short wait due to part shortages, but it was well worth it. They did an amazing job! And provided so many extras like removing dings that were not from the accident, waxing the vehicle when the work was complete and they even detailed the interior! We've had cars repaired in the past and have never received this level of customer service. I understand why there are so many five star reviews for City Auto. I went in for a quote, received a reasonable estimate. I decided to go with City Auto because the vive was a family feel, the price was the most affordable of all the quotes I had collected and the reviews were stellar. It also helped that they had a great central location so it was easy for me to get picked up by the rental car company. I have to applaud the service I got at City Auto Body Shop. I was recently in an accident near there shop and drove right into the service area. The owner greeted me and talked to me about my situation and exactly what I should do. He didn't even have my business and when he learned his shop was not preferred by my insurance company he still treated me kindly and continued to tell me how I should handle my situation. Days later I called because I found myself in a difficult spot with another auto shop and my insurance company. I needed some advice and the owner remembered exactly who I was. He talked to me on the phone for 10 minutes and continued to give me free advice even though he was not going to get the benefit Of working on my car. All I can say is to me this is the essence of good customer service and I'm so thankful to have met these guys. I'm impressed. After a texting-while-driving UGA student dented my door, I shopped around a few places (using yelp, of course) to find a reputable body shop who wouldn't break the bank. It was a HOT day when I arrived at City Auto Body. Percy was helping a gentleman navigate his way to Atlanta's Fire Station 1. Before any of us had greeted each other, I indicated I knew exactly where it was and would happily take the gentleman (a pedestrian, visiting from Minnesota) to Fire Station 1. Percy then quickly put together an estimate for repairing my Volvo. He beat out all the other estimates by a fair margin, assuring me he would put the door in "like new" condition. When I picked up the car, Al was putting the finishing touches on it, giving the car a good once-over. Now that the work is done, it looks as if Percy has lived up to his word. The door works fine. I received great customer service from Percy, he gave me a good quote to paint and replace a bumper for my 2017 Chevy Cruze. I was able to get my car back the same say they replaced the bumper. I was in an accident in 2017 and had it "fixed" by another mechanic but the bumper started to fall off late last year. Took it to City Auto Body only to find out that the original mechanic had broken the clips that connect the bumper to the car and used a heavy duty glue to connect it instead. If I ever need need auto body work done in they future I will definitely use them again. Highly recommend. read more

We recently bought a used car from Carvana. We had only had the car for two weeks when my husband opened the hood, and there was a loud metal crushing sound. I took the car to Jeff at City Auto Body Shop for him to look at the damage. The hood was bending the bottom part of the fender at the base of the roof frame. Jeff knew immediately that the hood was out of alignment, causing the damage to the fender. He said this car had been in a wreck, causing front end damage. He pointed out the overspray of paint from the previous repair. Carvana says they do not sell cars that have been in a wreck, but they sold me one. No matter what the Carfax Report said. Since Carvana's limited warranty still covered me through SilverRock Warranties, we had to go through the process to get the repair approved. This process was not a one time call, but multiple calls by Jeff and me to the warranty provider and Carvana. Carvana denied the first try. I just kept moving up the ladder until I got someone to understand this was their problem. Multiple days and hours later, the claim was approved. Jeff was very patient and very helpful throughout this process; he made everything thing a lot easier for me. The shop did a fantastic job on the repair; we couldn't be happier with the results. I would and will recommend Jeff and City Auto Body Shop to anyone I know that could use their services. Hopefully all is well for those of you who have chosen to read my review. City Auto Body Shop is small body but very customer friendly shop in comparison to most chain body shops. I work in Education so I don't make whole lot money to spread around so therefore I did my due diligence and got six estimates before deciding on City Auto Body Shop. City Auto came in at second in regards to the lowest price but had some of better reviews. All that said my Red Camaro had several bad dents not to mention botched paint job on passenger door thanks to awful mobile painter Jimmy Mendez(770)912-7376). Guys never use mobile painter take car to shop and pay extra money. Mr Carl the owner of shop took care of me got all of my dents out car. First time around they did have trouble matching paint on door, but keep in mind red is one of the hardest colors to match. After second attempt the was able match color perfectly, Mr. Carl also plans to paint back bumper free of charge because he felt bad had leave car for second time. My car looks almost brand new again thanks to City Auto. Mr Carl amazing owner and City Auto Body Shop best Body Shop been to Atlanta. I have got cars worked on Abra for twice as much and not as good of quality. Trust me shop may not look fancy but they do quality work for affordable prices. read more

Got into my first ever auto accident, and didnt want to take it to just anybody. I found this to have the highest rating in Atlanta on Yelp, and I wasn't disappointed. I had major issues with my insurance company, and Carl went to bat for me. When my baby, Lola (aka a Hyundai Sonata), had an unfortunate encounter with another car in a Sam's Club parking lot a few weeks ago, I was understandably distraught. I was even more distraught when I learned after getting several quotes from auto body shops for the bumper that it could cost anywhere in the neighborhood of $700 - $800 to get fixed. Enter City Auto Body Shop. Unsatisfied with paying almost $1,000 for a brand new bumper when mine was still perfectly functional and just needed some TLC, I yelped auto body shops and Carl's place appeared, along with glowing reviews. As soon as I pulled up to the little shop that's just past Coca-Cola headquarters on the west side of Atlanta, Carl himself emerged from the garage, shook my hand and asked what was wrong with my baby. When he then took a look at her, popped the bumper back into alignment, wiped the paint scratches from the other car off and gave me a quote for $390, which he proceeded to knock down to $300 right on the spot, I was sold. I dropped it off for him during lunch one day, with the expectation he'd be done in three days. He called me at the end of the second day saying it would be ready at noon the following day. I was out of town then, but he had no problem keeping my car until I returned the following week, and not only was she fixed as if she'd never had her bumper crunched, she was clean and shiny inside and out. I can't sing City Auto Body Shop's and Carl's praises high enough. He was far and away the most empathetic, friendly and all around nice guy I dealt with throughout the painful ordeal of fender bender to quotes to fixed and done. My car had paint that was peeling and I wanted to get it fixed before it got worse. Based on Yelp reviews, I took it to City Auto Body to get an estimate along with getting estimates at other places. When I visited for an estimate, Carl came and greeted me and wanted to know what was wrong and how he could help. He explained what they would need to do to fix my car and then gave me an estimate that was half the price of anyone else. Awesome place. I initially brought my Honda Accord to curry honda in chamblee and they quoted me $1400 excluding tax to change both bumpers (includes spray painting and clear coat). Carl got everything done with just $700 all in. Made me feel guilty about asking for the yelp 10% off, so I didn't. Quality of paint job, in my opinion, is 8/10. After going up there and getting a quote (Friday), I set up an appointment with them to repair damages to my vehicle. I was told I could bring my car in the next week (Tuesday). The day comes to take my vehicle up there so I called first to confirm everything again before going, the owner answers and tells me he is busy and didn't know when I could actually bring my car there to be repaired. About a month ago I had a tree branch land on the roof of my car. The roof needed replaced entirely as well as several support pieces on the doors of the car. My insurance company said after it was all said and done that the total cost would be around $4000. City Auto did everything for a little over half of that. These guys are great. I am very pleased with the work, and I couldn't be happier with the customer service. Carl was so good to me and fixed my baby faster than I could have asked for. After initially picking up the car, I noticed the back windshield wiper wasn't working and a crack started forming in the windshield a few days later (it's very common for these to break entirely when the roof is replaced). When I took my car back in, Carl took care of everything in one afternoon at no charge. Other shops I was quoted at would have easily tacked on another charge to my bill, but Carl took care of it himself. There is absolutely nothing I could improve about my service, and I would recommend City Auto to anybody. read more

I highly recommend City Auto Body Shop. The manager, Jeff, was extremely helpful. I was in a small accident and was trying to avoid insurance because of the increased premium. The other driver and I went to another place to get estimates before coming to City Auto Body Shop. The previous place was rude and extremely expensive. Jeff explained everything that he would do to fix both cars. Jeff helped me navigate a tough situation since the other guy was clearly trying to just get my money. Jeff explained how the process works, etc, steps to take, what we could do. Anyways, Jeff and his staff are super friendly and welcoming. They are there to help you. Just went here today and had a great experience! Everyone there was really nice, which was reassuring since it's a pretty small and slightly sketchy-looking place (as most body shops are). My passenger-side mirror was snapped at the base; Carl took one look and came back with an intense glue gun. He didn't even suggest replacing it, which was pretty awesome of him. The mirror is now glued in place and seems to be pretty sturdy. The whole thing took maybe 15 minutes - right before 2 pm closing on a Saturday, but they didn't seem annoyed or anything - and only cost $25 (compared to $300 to replace). The garage doesn't look like much, but they will treat you and your car well. I brought my Yaris in after a fender bender and needed my front and back bumpers replaced. They finished the work quickly and for about $100 less than I expected. They also washed my car and rubbed out a small scratch they noticed before I left. I especially appreciated that Carl understood and cared what a big expense this was - he billed me under his original estimate and made sure the repair was done with urgency so that I wouldn't have to spend extra on the rental car.
