The customer service is horrible. Calling and coming in to get assistance for a tire that was replaced via Gerber using Firestone. The employee Gator at the Clermont location was extremely rude and unprofessional. We were only trying to figure out if the tire was cover under a 1 year warranty. Update the manager contact us to basically say the tire isn't the correct tire even though it is, gave a half apologize for the rude customer service of his employee and asked if we can take down the review. That all he cared about not really solving the issue. Don't waste your time or money here. read more

We used the Gerber location in Clermont, Florida to effect repairs to our car resulting from a minor accident. Working with Gator (our estimator ) and Amanda (the front desk coordinator) turned a depressing situation into a pleasant experience. They were friendly, efficient, and helpful throughout the the entire process. When it came time to have our car left for repair, Gerber worked directly with our insurance company (USAA) to arrange to have a rental car company pick us up at the Gerber office to start the rental. They kept us well informed as to the status of the repair work and took possession of the rental car when we picked up our repaired car (looks great) at Gerber, eliminating the need for us to return the car ourselves to the rental car office. A pretty seamless and pleasant experience. I would recommend this Gerber office - and Gator and Amanda - to my friends if they need any auto repair work. read more

My advisor through the process of getting damage to my vehicle repaired was Kevin! He did a great job of explaining the repairs that were going to be done and preparing me for possible challenges. He let me know what to expect through the whole process and things went exactly the way he said they would. I brought my car in for the scheduled time and day and they called Enterprise car rental to pick me up. I received text messages and phone calls with updates on my car status from Kevin almost every day that my car was there. My car was brought in 10/30/2023 and was not scheduled to be completed until 11/15/2023. My car was done on 11/6/2023. My car is back to showroom condition thanks to Gerber. Tried to get an estimate for repair. I was told they had to have my insurance estimate first. Seriously! They don't know what they charge before knowing how much money they can get from the insurance company. That's concerning! I received a lot of push back just trying to get someone to look at my car for a approximate time frame because I didn't present them with an estimate from my insurance company initially. When I finally had someone look at my truck I was told they needed to keep my car a whole week for a repair on a tailgate that not only comes off but it must be replaced as it's unfixable. So they want to keep my truck for a whole week for a tailgate that has to be replaced. That's so crazy! Do people actually fall for this? They are trying to tell me they have to program my camera etc. and they need my vehicle for a whole week because they need to program my vehicle. Hello BS! It's a camera and a removable tailgate! I guess because I am a woman and there is insurance money to be had it's difficult to get a straight answer from this company. I reached out to the car dealership and was told vin number was all they needed to get my part and when the part came in they could take off may part paint it and reinstall the new part. Don't need keep my car at all. Bottom line go to the dealer that doesn't need a week to program a backup camera! Beware of there hustle line- Yes, they try to hand you a line about could be more damage and you don't want to have to pay for it because they can bill the insurance so you don't have to worry about it etc. etc. Hello the dealership will work with your insurance too and they are more forthcoming. read more

I called to schedule an appointment for a total repaint and a spray in bedliner. Lisa said that they usually don't do repaints, but collision repair. She said if they were to do a repaint that it would start at $6000.00. START AT $6000.00. I started laughing and had to run to the bathroom before I wet myself. Don't trust online reviews. Took our car to Gerber Collision & Glass for an estimate. The adjuster Gator greeted us and said he will order the parts and should take possible 3 days to fix. Gator got the part we took the car in and insurance got us a rental. Well, 4 hours later Gator called and our car was ready to be picked up. Wow that was fast and easy. My 8 year old Honda looks like it just rolled off the lot and I had updates at least twice a week (sometimes more!) in the form of a friendly text letting me know exactly what was happening on my car that day and the estimated time it would be completed. I don't always get into accidents but when I do, I take my car to Gerber. From the drop off to the pick up Gerber made things so easy. Gerber sent text messages throughout the entire process that kept me updated as to what was going on and when my car would be completed. I HIGHLY recommend Gerber. Courteous and thorough repair job. The work done on my Honda Fit made it good as new again after a nasty scratch and dent on the driver side back door. The only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is they changed the time it took to repair from the initial "this will only take a week" to "this will only take two weeks" after I had already dropped it off and committed to the shop. It made it difficult to plan my life and schedule without my car when I was so unsure of how long the job would actually take. Additionally, for such a small amount of damage, I couldn't believe it would take 10 days to complete. I can't even imagine the timeline for a vehicle with more serious damage. However, as I said, the work was flawless and they seem like nice people. read more

A did use them in 2012 and they had my car for 6 weeks and didn't even touch it for the first week. Paint didn't match. They changed the name since I was there last but it was the same people when I found that out, I passed and if their competitors do the same thing, I'm passing on them as well. I used this location once before to have a vehicle repaired. I was happy with the results, so I went back. The front reception person was very nice and helpful, as well as Derek who gave me an estimate for my vehicle repairs. I was quoted 5 days for the repair but the repairs went into the weekend, which is no big deal, things happen. Gerber's policy is that on Tuesday's and Thursday's, the rep who is handling your vehicles repair, will call and give you an update. I called on Thursday and was told, my rep Rosa P. would call me back. I called a second time later that day because I had not heard from my rep Rosa and was again told that she was with a customer and would call me back. I never got a call back but a text the next morning., that my target date, for my vehicle to be finished was 2/15. When I tried calling with a question that day , I was told that that Rosa was with a customer and would call me back. I never did receive a call from Rosa about my vehicle but a 2nd text around 7:45 that evening that my vehicle should be done by mid-day Monday. I picked my vehicle up on Monday 2/11 about 5:30 pm. The front desk rep, who is incredibly nice and helpful had to let Rosa know twice I was waiting to pick up my vehicle. I felt that I was not ****I wanted update my review after Justin from Gerber called and spoke to me. Justin was very apologetic to what had occurred and told me that they instituting a policy that sets aside time on Tuesdays and Thursdays for their reps can call customers. read more

Regarding service to my car and communication with the Manager Derek ------at Gerber Collision and Glass, 12635 Highway 27, Clermont, Fl 34711. 1. During the month of April and on a Monday my car was brought in for a scheduled appointment to replace the bumper mesh grill, the air conditioner fan and condenser (per Dereks recommendation). 2. I paid for and picked the car up on Friday late in the afternoon. 3. When I pulled into my garage at home, I noticed that my headlights did not automatically turn on. The Headlight switch was turned to the manual mode. 4. I turned my headlights on using the automatic mode, immediately the driver side headlight warning light came on. The driver side headlight did not come on. I turned the headlights on using the manual mode, the driver side headlight still did not activate. I called Gerber to report the findings, the business was closed for the evening. 5. The following Monday and after multiple attempts I was able to speak with Derek who is the Manager. After explaining the concern, Derek's first reponse was that the headlight was not functioning when I brought the car in for repair. He than changed his comment to I forgot to tell you (me) that the headlight was not functioning and that my headlight switch/module was going bad. 6. After discussing why the headlight switch/module went bad when the car was in the shop being repaired, and why he hadn't notified me of the problem, Derek asked me to bring my car in to be looked at on Wednesday. 7. Derek had his mechanic look at the headlight/switch module and agreed that he thinks it was in the switch/module and agreed with Derek that it wasn't functioning properly. The mechanic demonstrated the switch problem by disconnecting it from the module and plugging it back in. My headlight came on but when I restarted my car, the headlight went out. 8. Derek told me that he would order the switch for me at my cost and install the part. At that time I agreed. 9. Last fast forward to June. I still had not heard from Derek about the part or service. At this point what little confidence I had in Gerbers was lost. 10. I contacted another service department. The recommended that I have a full diagnostic to be sure that the headlight switch/module was the issue. I agreed. The results of the diagnostics was that the headlight switch was operational. The issue was that the adaptive headlight control unit was damaged. The problem was that when the headlights were turned on, the drivers side headlight was not sensing or communicating properly due to the damage to the adaptive control unit, and then shut the headlight off. 11. This part was replaced. The headlight is now operating properly. 12. My complaint is that this Gerber location damaged a part to my car, did not take ownership of for damaging the part, did not tell me the headlight was not working and tried to hide the fact by turning off the auto headlights. They never ordered the replacement part (it was the wrong part anyway), and never followed up. Honesty....ethics, and customer service was lost here. I won't return and will not recommend this service center. read more

Definitely far exceeded my expectations. I've never dealt with a collision center before and have heard negative things about them in general. I was extremely pleased with Gerber Collision in Clermont Florida however. Very professional operation, and they did fantastic work for a reasonable price. The service was top notch. Everything about the operation is very well done. They did the intake on my vehicle in a very professional and efficient manner. Shop is clean and organized and had coffee. They very quickly assessed the damage, gave me a very fair quote, and had me almost immediately set up with a rental car. They stayed in constant touch with me in terms of the progress of the repair. It was done very quickly, and I am very impressed with the quality of the work. My final paperwork was provided in a useful and organized folder, which I appreciated. Kudos in particular to Scott, who worked with me and provided the estimate. I am so impressed by this place that I am bringing my car back to get a ding on the hood repaired. I highly recommend this shop, and will refer business to them for sure in the future. I am very impressed by this business. read more
