Price was reasonable and I did get several other quotes from other providers including one recommended by Subaru. They weren't the highest nor the lowest. Came here through our insurance and I see why they work with them. We had a pleasant visit. The guy at the front desk is so nice, warm, personable and knowledgeable. He really made the experience tbh. We had a crack on our windshield, called our insurance and had an appointment with them next day! The job took about three hours and they were working hard to get it out for us in time, even with a man short. I waited for a bit and was amazed by how accommodating their waiting room is. Found a shortcut to Highway 27 because of their directions. They were very , very nice and thorough. They had an air-conditioned, waiting room with television Internet, and some coffee. Restroom was available. The quality of service was excellent. The technician even noted that I had a missing rubber trim piece prior to installation. That probably came off in a car wash. I was told that my stay would be anywhere from around an hour and a half to 2 1/2 hours and I was fine with that. To my surprise it was just a little over an hour. I have a small car kindness goes along way in today's world, and this repair shop goes out of their way to explain, and give valuable service. Thank you for making my car safe. read more

I took my car in because my driver side window would not go up. I was told the cost when I made the appointment and received several email reminders as well as a phone call confirming my appointment. I dropped my car off and was told to expect it to take 2-2 1/2 hours to replace the window. I received a call not long after telling me it was not the window but the regulator, which would have to be ordered from the dealer. They told me there was no charge for that day's service and I would get a call when the regulator arrived to schedule a time to put it in. I was very impressed with their efficiency and courtesy. My only problem was getting an appointment. They were very booked, which makes sense since they are so accommodating. read more

I showed up, dropped off the car and was asked if I wanted to wait as it wouldn't take long at all. I left to run an errand and before I could make it back I received the text that my car was finished and ready for pickup. We scheduled an appointment to have our Ford Explorer windshield replaced. The Tech was on time and the installation seemed to go smoothly and efficiently. However, the next day as I drove my car I noticed that the rearview mirror was loose and vibrating and shaking with every bump on the road. I called Safelite and they informed me that all warranty issues needed to be done at their shop and that they could not come back out to my home to fix the problem that they should have had right in the beginning before they left. Safelite is more than 20 miles away from my home, which means I have to take off work, use my gas and my time to get this issue fixed. I'm not at all happy with the customer service of Safelite. This could have been avoided had the tech finished the job right in the beginning. Companies win new customers with great customer service. They win returning and new customers with previously happy customers through recommendations. I will not be recommending Safelite to any of my friends or relatives. read more

I set up an appointment last Wednesday to replace my windshield and had to take a day off work without pay since outside vehicles are not allowed on my work property. The technician showed up on time but did not have the original equipment windshield for my vehicle. He said he could replace it with an aftermarket windshield but it may not work with the sensors in my windshield. He said that he could get the original windshield Saturday and come back. So I had to take another day off from work. Saturday morning, I received a call from someone at Safelite telling me they would not be able to come out since a technician had called in sick. I canceled altogether and I will find another company though my insurance company. This is a terrible way to treat customers and I will never do business with them again. I lost two days of work for nothing. UPDATE: I noticed that Safelite customer service responds to bad reviews with the same cookie cutter reply. I guess they believe that by saying they apologize makes everything all better. Sorry, but apologizing does not fix your lousy service and I will make sure everyone I know is informed of how you treat customers. read more

Our car window was broken and we scheduled a repair. Safelight came out a few days later and a very nice gentleman came to assist us, however after an hour we realized this gentleman just did not know what he was doing. We were kind and understanding overall it took about 5 hours to replace. Once he was done he realized He had left the key inside car and battery was now dead. In addition our button to slide down window is no longer working. We called the service department and after about an hour decided to send a superior out. A week later our window remote does not work and they did not want to address the window remote issue. Highly dissatisfied and would not recommend at all. read more

If I could give zero stars to this location on shader road, I would. I called safelight to get my windshield replaced, a rock had flown up off the highway and cracked my windshield pretty good and then the heat quickly expanded the crack. I took their quickest availability and dropped my car off on appointment day. When I picked up my car, it was about 15 min after close, and I noticed that the new windshield also had a small crack in it. Since there was no one there to talk to, I proceeded to drive my car home figuring that I would be able to take care of it in the morning. Next day, I call the # in the paperwork to report the crack in the new windshield which also expanded overnight from the heat in the garage and the rep assured me that it was a stress crack, that it happens, and I'm covered under warranty. Only catch was I needed to wait at least 48 hours before bringing it back in because the glue had to cure. I made my next appointment 2 days out as the rep suggested. I get to my appointment and the warranty manager inspects the glass and confirms that it is a stress crack, told me it would be taken care of, only for me to get a call from them about 10-15 min after me leaving the location asking me to turn around because they can't touch the glass yet. Annoyed but ok, I turned around, got my car and asked them to come to me since this is my 2nd time going to them for the replacement and I still have a cracked windshield. The manager agrees and sets me up for a Monday appointment. Monday comes and the new technician is unwilling to replace my windshield unless they file a NEW CLAIM because he doesn't think it's a stress crack. Since I don't agree to filing a new claim, he leaves. I had to contact the manager again to try and figure out what's going on. He had to contact the tech who couldn't come back, so I had to wait for another appointment. Fourth appointment tech FINALLY got the job done. He was from the Mineola location. That's where I'm going from now on. It took 2 weeks and four appointments for a windshield replacement, never mind the shadiness with trying to file a second claim. Not a good overall service from them. The initial windshield repair got scheduled wrong from the start. Called to see where tech was and never got a call back from anyone until the tech himself called to tell me he would be there around 5:45pm. My time was supposed to be 8am-12pm. The tech told me he could re-schedule and never heard back until I contacted him myself 2 hrs later. Ended up getting it done a week later and the gentleman I had was nice. They told me it would take about an hour to complete. I said okay, and went to the waiting room. At 2pm, I went back to the front and asked if the repair had been completed. They then informed me that they forgot about my car and that if I waited another 20-30 mins it would be done. I had another appointment in downtown Orlando at 2:45pm, and if I had stayed, I wasn't going to make it. They told me they could come to my house the next day and have my windshield fixed then. This is a review that might improve once they try again. Please read on. I had an appointment with a 5 hour window from 12-5pm. For anyone, this long of a window is difficult, but I get it, they come to you to make it convenient to you. I got a text the day the appointment was made and the day of the appointment to confirm. I waited patiently the 5 hours and heard nothing. When I contacted them about 10 minutes (first calling the 888, then calling the local #, which still was an out of area call center) after the 5 hour window, this is what I was told. The part/material for my vehicle was not available when the technician started his day. This meant he would have had to go back to the shop to get it. His appointment prior to mine went late and it was too late to make the appointment. I had to make two calls for 20-30 minutes each to find this out. Good customer service would have meant they notify me of this potential glitch from this morning and give me an option to wait or reschedule. Despite this, I have given them an opportunity to make this right. I have rescheduled to be the first client in the morning with a 2 hour window (8-10 am), and a request for them to call me the day before to confirm they have the part, not just text me.
