I was recently in a wreck in Crestview where I was rear ended. I am not from Crestivew and didn't know a towing company or where I should take my car. After the nightmare towing job performed by Crestview Paint & Body and hearing their horrific reviews, my car was finally released from being held hostage at Crestview Paint and Body, and after they had incurred additional malicious damages to my car, I did some research and chose for it to be taken to Gerber Collision. I had previously taken my car to Factory Spec in FWB and was not aware they had been bought out by Gerber so I was a little nervous at first about what the quality of work would be like. I couldn't have asked for a smoother process. Having your car in the shop and wondering how the damages were going to be corrected is a very stressful process and Josh and his team couldn't have been nicer. Josh kept me updated on the process of how my car repairs were going, and he even stayed late after the shop had closed so that I could pick up my car before the Christmas weekend. Everything looked great on the car and I was pleased with the results. I would definitely recommend Gerber in Crestview to anyone that needs repairs or body work done. I selected Gerber from a list provided by State Farm Insurance for car repairs caused by being rear ended in Panama City Beach, FL. Following Hurricane Michael, it will be many months before I can get any service in the local area due to high volume of damage to vehicles caused by Michael so I contacted Gerber. I spoke with Dawn who was truly amazing, and she got me in the next Saturday for an estimate. When I arrived Saturday, Tammy was waiting for me and completed her estimate, including photos and loading of all information into the software program after which she provided me with a hard copy. Tammy took the time to explain everything - what to expect, what to do if, etc. and to call them any time for help with anything. I called back this morning to compliment Tammy with the manager, Laura. Turns out Laura is equally as courteous, professional and pleasant with the identical attitude towards customer service as both Dawn and Tammy - IT IS NUMBER ONE! These three women provided an image of nothing less than sincere compassion, care and concern for me as not only a customer, but a human being! I dropped off my car for accident repair. I spoke with them 3 times about the progress of my repairs. The first 2 times they assured me that the repairs were going well, and the last time was when they told me that my car was all done and ready for pickup. I was given a ride and dropped off at Gerber to pick up my car. When I entered the office, I was told that the battery was dead and they had to jump start my car to move it around. Eventually the car wouldn't start anymore, so they used the shift release mechanism to put the car in neutral to push it around the shop. The series of events that happened afterwards are for another post, lol. I just can not believe that they never once mentioned the problems with my car while it was in their care. I could have taken care of the problems that it caused and saved a lot of money. I will never trust them with another one of my vehicles. read more
