Paul called me on Friday and told me my car was ready to be picked up. I explained my husband had the rental at work in FWB and I had no way of getting. He went on to say they usually like the cars out of them. I then received a text after that phone call on Friday saying my car was ready. I asked him if I could on Monday and he agreed. I explained to him that I am basically the taker for my sister who just had colon cancer surgery. That she had an apt she had to be at by 8:30 am on Monday and he assured me it was fine. My husband and I decided to take our rental back on Saturday to make sure we had enough time so I could get my sister to her appointment. We go to pick up the car today (Monday) and the lady told me it was ready. She then got Paul who at first said he didn't tell me it was ready. I don't appreciate him making it sound like I was lying or wrong. I showed him the text and reminded him how he said on Friday it was done. He then said he had 1,000 things to do on Friday so he forgot to follow up with me. I was actually thinking this was a great company until today! This was a horrible situation. I was crying and he came out and told me it was good news my car was done and they just needed to clean it up- it was already 8:15am and I had to drive the whole way back to the North end of town. So, I'm afraid now they just hurried up and put the bumper on. I had to leave my husband to wait on the car and I took our other car to get my sister/ who ended up late for her appointment. I just didn't appreciate Paul trying to make it sound like he didn't tell me the car was ready when he knew he said it was. Also, they could have called me to let me know on Friday or even when they opened today it wasn't ready after all! I will NEVER use their services again! Be careful if you choose to! read more

The rear passenger side window exploded on my Ford Edge while I was traveling from my home in Wisconsin to Florida on 9/30. I stopped overnight in Huntsville, AL and the Safelite at that location was able to clean the glass up in my auto and I requested an appointment for the next day so I could continue my trip. When I got the confirmation, the appointment had actually been scheduled for 3 days later. I cancelled the appointment and continued to my destination where I rescheduled with the Pensacola, FL office for 10/8. The tech showed up promptly as scheduled but after working for about an hour, informed me that he had the wrong part. The appointment was then moved to 10/19 and I was assured that it would be fixed on that day. On 10/19 the tech came and again attempted to fix the window and, again, had the incorrect part. The appointment was then re-scheduled for 10/26 and on that morning I was informed that they had not received the part they needed. At this point, I had spent almost a month of my vacation in Florida without the window and I was leaving to return to Wisconsin on 10/31. I asked to speak with a manager and told him that delaying any longer was not an option. At that point they drove to Mobile, AL, picked up the part and installed it that afternoon. The time this took to be done correctly was way too long and resulted in extreme inconvenience. read more

Rocks or debris cracked the windshield on the interstates. Called my State Farm rep and they set up the replacement with Safelite. Safelite came to me out in the country to replace the windshield. No leaks from the replacement, I had let the truck sit for 2 days afterwards. Took it out for a run and everything was great. read more

I don't normally write bad reviews but my experience this time with Safelite has not been very smooth. I was scheduled to have my windshield replaced and upond install the tech made a stress crack in my new windshield and broke my side panel for my wind window. So I waited another week for a new windshield and when the tech came the windshield he brought had a huge distortion in it. So I waited another week for a windshield and I just received a phone call say that the tech was sick and I would have to wait another week before I get a new windshield. I and VERY unhappy and I will not be using this company any longer. read more
