This was easily one of the most authentic luau experiences I've had. The setting right on the beach makes a huge difference because your feet are literally in the sand while watching the show. The sunset here is unreal. It has that soft, golden Hawaiian glow you always imagine but rarely actually see in real life. The performances feel heartfelt rather than overly commercial, and the whole evening flows in a really relaxed way. It's the kind of experience that feels both entertaining and culturally grounded at the same time.

We're staying in downtown Waikiki. I saw two luau that looked so BORING!!!so bootleg. Who has a Luau on a roof? I AM SO GLAD we chose Germaine . The BEACH The AMAZING staff. Food was ok. But the WHOLE experience was top tier. The lady at the ticket booth was SO kind and friendly. She had a big Hawaiian chain. I'm sorry I didn't get her name.. but everybody was just the best. Side note, we got to throw our lei out into the ocean. To make sure WE ALWAYS return.

I have been going since I was 18 to Germaine's Luau and I am now 54. I love the setting the waves in the background are beautiful. The drinks are delish! It's so much fun and the food OMG it was so good! Absolutely everyone is so kind and welcoming. The show is beautiful. The drive was about an hour from hotel but it goes fast and the bus driver is very entertaining. My son went on a guys trip and he told the group they had to go to Germaine's they had a blast! My children will continue the tradition and that melts my heart. Thank you Germaine's! See you next year.

This is located right next to the beach, great for taking sunset selfies. The tickets purchased included 2 drinks and dinner buffet style and the entertainment dancers. Considering the size of the venue the lines went fairly quickly for the buffet. There is a gift shop on site and I thought the prices were very reasonable. Purchased my tickets through an excursion provided by a cruise line. Was a bit pricey. Set that aside it's a guarantee back to ship on time as this ran late till end of port time.

We had family luau night. It's in the middle of industrial area, but once you're there you forget where you are. Once you arrive you will pay $5 for parking if it wasn't included in your package. We got the cheapest package and the view was not bad but not the best. I recommend to get the second package for better view. After checking in you will get your wrist band according to what package you bought. Then you will take pictures which will cost $30 At the end of the show. No personal pictures allowed. Then you walk towards your table but can stop for a flower in your hair and activities before the show starts. If you didn't reserve a table then get there early to get a good table because it is first come first served. You will be directed when it's your turn to make line for the food. The food was pretty good. Dessert was ok. Drinks were ok that you get for one ticket, but if you want a better drink get the ones for 2 tickets. For the actual show they have many dance routines. I really enjoyed all the dances and they do have audience participation from men, women and children at some point in the show. Lastly take lots of pictures and wear shoes that can be in the sand as you will sit on the tables in the sand. Enjoy the dinner and a show.

The food was horrible. The dancers were amazing and put on a really great performance. With ocean views and setting sun the location was great.

Before dinner, there are several interactive cultural activities like lei-making, temporary Polynesian tattoos, and learning basic hula steps. These are fun, especially if it's your first luau, and help pass the time before the main show begins. The imu (underground oven) pig unveiling is a nice cultural highlight and adds to the authenticity. The buffet offers a solid spread of traditional Hawaiian dishes -- kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, poi, chicken long rice, rice, salads, and desserts. The food is hearty and filling, though not gourmet. Some items stand out more than others, but overall it feels appropriate for a large-scale luau buffet. Drinks are included, though they're on the lighter side, so don't expect strong cocktails. The performances are the highlight of the night. The Polynesian dances from different islands, live music, and fire knife dancing are energetic and engaging. The performers clearly enjoy what they do, and the crowd interaction keeps things lively. While it may not feel ultra-luxury or theatrical, it's genuine, fun, and entertaining, which adds to its charm.

Just a WARNING to all if you do plan on visiting this place to apply or protect yourself from ants and mosquitos. My whole family, a total of 8 were feasted on especially my 11 yo son. We attended Luau last Sunday (6/7/26), it's Day 5, his legs still swollen and his bites are blistering. This establishment should at least warn people ahead or do something to fumigate the area. Our whole week was ruined because my son was in pain, itching and had a difficult time walking from the swelling and discomfort.

--Book them! I was so overwhelmed by all the luau options but in the end I decided to go with Germaine's Luau and it exceeded my expectations. They picked us up (100% recommend you do that). Our driver Wendell did a great job. The in bus entertainment Bryce made that drive time feel very fast. Bryce taught us so much Hawaiian culture. The performers did such an awesome job. So happy we decided to book this luau for our first night in Honolulu!! It was the highlight of our trip.

Service is fantastic, the food is okay. You are really coming for the great show and the food and drink is just a part of the experience. It is also on a private beach so you get amazing views and pictures of the sunset before the show begins! We did the standard package that includes the meal and one drink, which I think is the way to go unless you are a big drinkers. The pork was the highlight of the meal, besides that everything else was okay. I ended up feeding a lot of my food to the cats that are on the property. Amazing show with greta dancers, the fire dancers were a highlight for me.

To be completely honest, I was a bit disappointed with this experience. We got stuck in traffic and because of that we ended up being a half hour late but that wasn't what disappointed me. Thankfully, we had arrived before most of the actual show and dinner had started but I really felt rushed through the entire event. We missed waiting in line to check in and receive our lais, drink tickets and seating assignments but we got all of that with no line by being late. We found our table, got our drinks and then sat down with a few minutes before food was served. Once the food was served, we were all whisked off to the buffet line to grab our food before the show started and once it did, it flew by at such a fast pace that I feel that we may have missed some of it. They told us when dinner was served that in Hawaii at Luau, you don't eat until you're full, you eat until it hurts but that wasn't possible. We got our first plates and were told that food would be available until some certain dance in the performance but that was only about 20 minutes. My wife and I almost had to run back to get seconds and after we had gone through the line for the second time, the food was packed up and gone. The show was great don't get me wrong, but the performances were machine gunned at us at such a fast pace that it was hard to enjoy. They cram a lot of entertainment into a couple of hours that fly by so fast that when it's over, your left with your head spinning. They have their production down to a precise science and from a tourism standpoint, I can see how that is efficient and profitable for them as a company. For me as the consumer however, I felt like the whole thing was a novelty and that the price I paid was not worth the value of what I received. There are a lot of Luaus to choose from when you visit Hawaii, but I don't know if they all feel this rushed and we chose Germaine's not only because my kids had been but also because the comedian Fluffy, (Gabriel Iglesias) spoke so highly of it in one of his stand ups. Maybe my expectations were too high, but I was looking for a relaxed and fun filled evening with great food and entertainment. The food was good, and the entertainment was great, but I felt like I was ushered in and out of the place too quickly. In one way and right out the other in a sense. If you're going to visit Hawaii, I definitely recommend experiencing a luau. I can't say for sure that Germaine's is the best. Overall, I don't feel like the price per person was worth the experience that we had but then again, maybe I'm wrong. Thanks for reading and Cheers!

The Luau was a lot of fun. The show was great. The location was overlooking the ocean and great for pictures. We had VIP tickets so our seats were great. I highly recommend this Luau if you are in the area.

I have been to several luaus but it has been years since I have been to Germaine's....until a few weeks ago. I forgot how beautiful it was there! So beautiful they filmed Lilo & Stitch at this location. They have different spots for fun photos, an all you can drink soda station, self serve all you can eat buffet, gift shop, Hawaiian activities & let's not forget the bar with really different yummy adult drinks. The Hawaiian dancers are absolutely gorgeous and the show was just beautiful. Oh let me know forget, do not forget your photos from George! I cannot say how much aloha he showed! 100% recommend Germaine's Luau....thank you George for being so kind and showing us the Hawaiian hospitality!!

Unfortunately, my Mini me thought she wouldn't like PACKHawaii because she knew nobody there. That all changed from the first day. In fact, she had such a blast! The staff, and volunteers were welcoming and knew all to well the feeling of not knowing anyone. They made it a fun and safe place for all the kids. Ms. Mini me decided to get up early everyday excited to go and practice. For summer, it was a whole day affair and she was ready to get out the door before I was up. Why couldn't she be like this going to school?! Anyway, performance day came and she was excited about her the whole show. The family came to cheer her on and we were amazed how great the show was! The stage looked amazing. In 2 weeks all the kids memorized their lines, learned choreography, stage presence, and memorized songs. It was impressive to see how much these kids learned in only 2 weeks. They even help make the stage, props, and programs. AMAZING! PACK has different programs. There is the summer programs, different shows to tryout, they have dance classes and offer various workshops for kids. It is such a great program and it is on the Westside!! Westside Story is one of my all-time favorite "classic" movie & musical play and I must say, PACKids did this production justice! Who can resist singing along to "When you're a Jet," or "I Wanna Live in America," or even belt out, "take my hand and I'll take you there..." or "I Feel Pretty, oh so pretty!" PACKids really outdid themselves by singing, dancing and acting their hearts out on stage - it was truly believable and something they can be proud to have been a part of. I know I was proud to have witnessed such a beautiful musical. It's no secret, i embrace local entrepreneurial endeavors and that affinity does not end with just my purchases. I support local talent when I can. Here in west Oahu there is not a shortage of talents and skills. PACK is a local, non-profit, after school musical theatre group that puts on 4-5 musical productions in a year. Children audition for parts and should be able to sing, dance, recite and act. It's the real deal at PACK! Since moving to west Oahu I have seen School House Rock Jr., their Christmas Holiday production, Little Mermaid and now, Westside Story. These kids are amazing!! I've seen them grow with each performance and their sets get better and better. No need to drive into town anymore to catch a play at Diamond Head, Manoa Valley or Hawaii Theatre...PACKids ROCK!!

We were original Mauka on a Friday, but that was cancelled due to weather. When trying to reschedule, we debated our options and ended up at Germaine's. It was not our preferred choice due to some reviews, but the beach location swayed us. It's a good distance from Waikiki, and we thought at some point we'd gotten lost in an industrial district, but after a few turns we found ourselves in paradise. We paid for parking and everything was uphill from here. We started with check in and photos. Then onto flower making for our hair, a quick sunset selfie and a return for a temporary tattoo. Then the evening's big highlights began. We gathered for the unearthing and presentation of the pig, then returned to our tables for dinner service. The Mistress of Ceremony, Serena, has such a warm demeanor. She referred to us all as cousins and family, and honored special celebrations of those in attendance (anniversaries, birthdays, etc). I realized this was all routine, but Serena had a way of making us each feel special. Food was buffet style unless you paid for VIP. VIP had their food brought to them. The menu was fine. I got a little of everything, but was most satisfied with the teriyaki chicken and rice. I added some vegetables from my friend's vegan option.
