The food was horrible. The dancers were amazing and put on a really great performance. With ocean views and setting sun the location was great.

Just a WARNING to all if you do plan on visiting this place to apply or protect yourself from ants and mosquitos. My whole family, a total of 8 were feasted on especially my 11 yo son. We attended Luau last Sunday (6/7/26), it's Day 5, his legs still swollen and his bites are blistering. This establishment should at least warn people ahead or do something to fumigate the area. Our whole week was ruined because my son was in pain, itching and had a difficult time walking from the swelling and discomfort.

This is located right next to the beach, great for taking sunset selfies. The tickets purchased included 2 drinks and dinner buffet style and the entertainment dancers. Considering the size of the venue the lines went fairly quickly for the buffet. There is a gift shop on site and I thought the prices were very reasonable. Purchased my tickets through an excursion provided by a cruise line. Was a bit pricey. Set that aside it's a guarantee back to ship on time as this ran late till end of port time.

--Book them! I was so overwhelmed by all the luau options but in the end I decided to go with Germaine's Luau and it exceeded my expectations. They picked us up (100% recommend you do that). Our driver Wendell did a great job. The in bus entertainment Bryce made that drive time feel very fast. Bryce taught us so much Hawaiian culture. The performers did such an awesome job. So happy we decided to book this luau for our first night in Honolulu!! It was the highlight of our trip.

Before dinner, there are several interactive cultural activities like lei-making, temporary Polynesian tattoos, and learning basic hula steps. These are fun, especially if it's your first luau, and help pass the time before the main show begins. The imu (underground oven) pig unveiling is a nice cultural highlight and adds to the authenticity. The buffet offers a solid spread of traditional Hawaiian dishes -- kalua pork, lomi lomi salmon, poi, chicken long rice, rice, salads, and desserts. The food is hearty and filling, though not gourmet. Some items stand out more than others, but overall it feels appropriate for a large-scale luau buffet. Drinks are included, though they're on the lighter side, so don't expect strong cocktails. The performances are the highlight of the night. The Polynesian dances from different islands, live music, and fire knife dancing are energetic and engaging. The performers clearly enjoy what they do, and the crowd interaction keeps things lively. While it may not feel ultra-luxury or theatrical, it's genuine, fun, and entertaining, which adds to its charm.

Service is fantastic, the food is okay. You are really coming for the great show and the food and drink is just a part of the experience. It is also on a private beach so you get amazing views and pictures of the sunset before the show begins! We did the standard package that includes the meal and one drink, which I think is the way to go unless you are a big drinkers. The pork was the highlight of the meal, besides that everything else was okay. I ended up feeding a lot of my food to the cats that are on the property. Amazing show with greta dancers, the fire dancers were a highlight for me.

The Luau was a lot of fun. The show was great. The location was overlooking the ocean and great for pictures. We had VIP tickets so our seats were great. I highly recommend this Luau if you are in the area.

I have been to several luaus but it has been years since I have been to Germaine's....until a few weeks ago. I forgot how beautiful it was there! So beautiful they filmed Lilo & Stitch at this location. They have different spots for fun photos, an all you can drink soda station, self serve all you can eat buffet, gift shop, Hawaiian activities & let's not forget the bar with really different yummy adult drinks. The Hawaiian dancers are absolutely gorgeous and the show was just beautiful. Oh let me know forget, do not forget your photos from George! I cannot say how much aloha he showed! 100% recommend Germaine's Luau....thank you George for being so kind and showing us the Hawaiian hospitality!!

The best10/10, it was a dream and I can't wait to go back what beautiful culture, lovely dancers, beautiful ocean scenery and yummy food. Fun fact this is the same place the Lilo and Stitch movie filmed there Luau scene, little did I know until after LOL Mahalo to Germaine's for the hospitality

I've read mixed reviews on this place so I decided to check it out with my family while visiting . The staff were all so nice once we arrived. I felt like I walked into the Disney movie Lilo and stitch as there was a small scene that was actually filmed there. Food was good and I liked that they were organized with going table to table allowing guests to make a plate without being staggered over each other. The only downside were the drinks , needed just a tad bit more alcohol. I felt like we just ordered juice at the bar. For the experience to those who are Lilo & Stitch fans I would recommend checking this place out.

They should of cancelled their entire show for the day with rain and wind blowing everyone's table covers. They equipped all guest with Ponchos to stay dry but everyone is getting swallowed and holding their ponchos down for dear life in this 3rd Kona Storm they were having. I understand they don't want to lose the thousands of dollars from cancelling one luau event, but it was horrible for all the guests. No one could even enjoy it with rain pouring down on our food because they have no cover, and still with the wind blowing our plates and umbrellas backwards, they still wanted to keep the show going....like c'mon make your guest enjoy themselves after dropping all this money, even a partial refund should of been due, but no the show must go on rain or shine, happy or unhappy guests! At least build a cover or shelter to protect your guests, and they don't offer full refunds unless they decide to cancel on you which doesn't seem like they do very often. I'm never returning and highly discouraging this Germaine's luau until I get some type of compensation or reimbursement for my precious yet limited vacation time. No Thank You! Go somewhere else that treats their paying customers with dignity and respect, I've eaten better at campgrounds than here. The show and and food were decent as expected but you don't treat paying patrons this way!

Went to Germaine's luau for dinner and a show the venue is in the middle of the industrial complex which made us nervous but once inside those fears were put to rest and an evening of food and entertainment was on the menu. The luau started with the unveiling of the pig from the Buried pit which was quite the show in itself. Next was the meal which consisted of pork beef fish and chicken all of which were quite good for a Buffet style the sides were OK nothing to write home about. The show was very good lots of islands being representedit was a great night

After looking for a place to eat in Kapolei we came across Gina's Kapolei and walking into the restaurant we saw that Gina's son was working behind the counter!!! It was awesome to have the yummy food that was so much a part of my past . We got the family mini pack - it's great for 2-3 people who have a large appetite- 3 large pieces of Kalbi - bulgofi - man du - BBQ chicken- meat Jun - rice and choice of 4 veggies. It's a generous portion of meat more than enough for 3 people and we had leftovers too. The food is very good the Kalbi is a standout and the fried Man Du and meat Jun was excellent. We loved the seaweed w/ daikon - tofu and kimchee all so good. The people are friendly and really helpful - parking is plentiful. So you can imagine the pure joy I experienced when I walked into Gina's and recognized the banchan, size and char on meats, the smell, being surrounded by local families and friendly faces behind the counter. My heart leapt for joy seeing that I could have both fish jun AND kalbi and if I wanted I could've gotten a third choice. My eyes spotted a familiar side dish of seasoned potatoes, which I left it for the next person and got the daikon, perfectly seasoned not dry at all jap chae, and kim chi cucumbers. When I took my first bit into the kalbi, life was made good again. It was reset and welcome home I needed. It was a perfectly cut and marinated kalbi. The fish Jin was seasoned so well I barely needed to dip it into a sauce. The portions could have fed 2. I asked if they were related to the Gina's in Market City. Bro, this is the OG Gina's!! The owner said they sold the other one and his mom helped him start this one. It looked like the whole family was behind the counter. I wanted to cry. Not all things have changed in Hawai'i! Some things got better! OG Gina's being in Kapolei is one of em.

The guests are charged for parking while actively patronizing the restaurants and businesses on site even more frustrating. If you don't properly scan and register your parking you will receive a $49 to start out with a ticket as my son unfortunately, learned the hard way. you think if you patronize an establishment they would validate your parking so you don't have to pay. As for the dining experience, monkeypod promotes a local farm to table concept, and the quality of the ingredients seem to support that the food was enjoyable and the Service was outstanding just be prepared for the price tag. Our Bill for seven people was around 500 so while it was good a good meal it certainly wasn't inexpensive. Overall, I recommend the monkey pod for atmosphere service and quality food. Shrimp fried rice- I was really excited to try this and I was really hoping that it would be excellent and it was OK. The shrimp was cooked well and the fried rice just felt like it needed some more butter and it was lacking some of the things that make fried rice, fried rice like a fried egg so overall not my favorite dish. The gluten-free menu was pretty limited on options for me to try so I would probably go to somewhere else to try and get fried rice in the future.

Poi was good, especially mixed with the lomi salmon. Mom's squid luau was nice, came out hot, though it was a little sweet for her taste. The smoked meat was also a little sweet, though we know that's how they prepare it at H.I. Nice mix of smoky and sweet with the meat and onions. Definitely good for sharing as well. I shared with my daughter. Everything was so flavorful and had lots of variety. The squid luau is sweet because it's made with coconut milk, the kalua pig and laulau are salty, the poi was not sour and went well with the lomi salmon, the sweet potato also added sweetness. It all worked so well together. For dessert, we got the Sweet Potato Haupia Shortbread. Definitely a sweet and savory combo. The potato isn't too sweet, the buttery shortbread crust and the coconut haupia. Definitely a local fave. Overall, great place to try Hawaiian food with tons of parking and usually not crowded.
