Gerry's is no longer its name. It has had a new owner for more than a year. Now called Froggies. Still good pizza.

TL;DR: Restaurants in Cape Charles do NOT do takeout, but Gerry's does. When a family wedding brought us to Cape Charles, we learned an extremely interesting lesson: it's near impossible to find takeout in the town. The restaurants just do not do it. After calling several places closer to us, we eventually landed on Gerry's. It was difficult to find their menu online (much like the rest of Cape Charles). Gerry's is located right outside of the main drag of Cape Charles (I think) and the location is definitely easy to miss if you are driving at night. The building really sits on its own. Using the to-go window only (apparently they don't allow people inside right now) we picked up two sandwiches and a pizza. We were honestly just so thrilled to find a place in Cape Charles to get dinner that didn't require us to dine-in, especially after a super long car ride. I really enjoyed our shrimp pizza, which we ordered with white sauce. It comes with fresh mozzarella and garlic and is a really different type of pizza to order. We had it in the fridge for leftovers for days. It heated up surprisingly well. The gals working at Gerry's were nice and helpful and I think for the people that live here this is a solid local watering hole for pizza. read more

Less than $10!! I've stopped twice to get this delicious chef salad, it is the best ever!!! So many toppings. Generous portions of ham, turkey, cheeses, sweet/regular peppers, carrots, etc. it's enough to feed two people. It's located about 12 miles from the Chesapeake bay bridge tunnel on the right if you're heading north. read more

First off, the name has been changed to Snell Froggy's Ordered a cold cut sub, person was friendly and attentive to placing my order. When I went to pick it up, young lady was also very pleasant to deal with. I sat in my car and eat that sub. It was absolutely delicious, fresh bread, fresh meats, extra hot peppers, wrapped in a napkin should I want them and a bag of chips for less than nine dollars! read more

This is simply the BEST pizza I've ever had!! We literally eat this once a week! I can not even eat pizza from any where else after eating this delicious pizza! What a gem on the roadside! I've been camping all week at the beach and took a day trip to Cape Charles to get out of some bad weather. Not finding much in town to eat that was open or interesting, I was thrilled to stop at Gerry's on a whim. White pizza by the slice and a cannoli to go! Perfection. Big slices, crust not too thick or chewy, really nice quality mozzarella and ricotta. Lovely folks working the take-out-window, too. The pizza is simply fantastic. No flop crust, great crunch. Everything stays in place as it should. Beyond the standard cheese with toppings they offer very creative specialty pies. Spinach, Tomato and Ricotta is a favorite. Calzones are huge and exhibit the same characteristics of their pies. Salads are great as well. A true diamond on the ESVA. read more

I ordered a large pizza from here on a Saturday. 15 minute wait, which was very reasonable. The pizza was pretty darn tasty. If you are looking for a New York Style, this is definitely the place to go. They have a good selection of pizza choices, just wished they had cheesesteaks, then I would have given 5 stars. This little takeout restaurant is right on 13 in Cape Charles, we ordered pizza and a salad. The crust was crispy with just the right amount of sauce. Our side salad was enough for two and was delish. Happy that someone recommended we try this place out. read more

After inexplicably being turned away from Deadrise because they wouldn't take a to go order (really? the place was empty and it was 4:30 pm), we decided to try gerry's instead. Pizza was great, prices were good, and they do take out. We actually liked it more than Deadrise, so glad we found gerry's! read more

The eastern shore go to place for amazing New York style pizza and subs! When driving through Virginia you have to stop here, especially if you are heading to NY to get some grub. This place is the go to!! And you don't have to leave highway 13 to get there. Even going for a basic sub, or hoagie there, get it. I prefer the cold ones, but have had most of everything there.. one small sub will feed two, and one slice will hit the spot perfectly. If they got it, get the tiramisu desert. I mean damn good!! Don't ever go to dead rise pizza, people say it's good but they are he ones that have no idea what good pizza is. Enjoy! read more

The cashier was extremely rude when dealing with my friend and her highly food allergic son. They were accommodating last year, but it was the owner. This time the cashier was a very young adult with a bad attitude. Aside from that, my steak and cheese was terrible. Seemed as if the meat had been pre-cooked and left in a steamer all day. Gross. I love the food and the staff! Northampton County end of the Eastern Shore is very limited on places to eat. Gerry's is exactly what we needed and I'm glad they are here. The service is fast! Everyone is so friendly....and the stuff beyond friendly! I could eat there everyday. read more

We stopped in tonight on our way up the shore headed to Annapolis. Best decision ever! Small and quaint with lovely outdoor seating and cornhole set up for guests. We looked the menu over and even asked the girl at the counter what she was nibbling on (Shrimp and Ricotta!) and finally settled on our usual, pepperoni and mushroom, with the addition of fresh mozzarella. Service was quick and the pizza arrived shortly after ordering. It was cooked perfectly and the additional mozzarella slices were melted perfectly. Crust had great integrity to hold all the weight of the cheese, non-greasy, the sauce was fresh and tangy and my pizza bones were the perfect blend of chewy and crisp. Couldn't have picked a better last minute dinner spot! We will have to make it a point to stop in again when we pass through. Be sure to visit them; you won't regret it! read more

This is just great NY style Pizza. Sauce is true to form. Very consistent have had maybe 6-10 pies so far all great. Inexpensive as well. Mostly take out but a few tables. Call ahead, they stay busy. read more

Best pizza around. The restaurant itself is unique. Very small unfortunately, seating is very limited when they are allowing dine in. Prices are fair and the pizza is generous in.size. So many options for different types of pizza that other than places don't have. Wish they were open more often and/or later at night. read more

Learned of this place by word of mouth, decided to try it on the way home from "across the bay" and we were NOT disappointed in the least! Got a 16" stuffed meat pizza, it will serve as supper for two nights for two people and it was delicious! It reminded me of eating at pizza/sub shops in New England, which is intended as a compliment. Really excellent red pizza sauce. Good thin crust. Just opened and still shaking out. Service is friendly & relatively fast, depending on the line - which is sometimes out the door. Still more of a take-out than a sit-down, although there are 6 tables. Caesar salad needs to be rethought: 7 torn up lettuce leave, 11 croutons and a lot of Parmesan in a takeaway box is definitely not worth $5. read more
