Can I give this place ten stars???? What an amazing meal, ambience and experience all together! First thing to know is that you need to make reservations. The restaurant is small and reservations only. We went for a birthday and Hook at Harvey did not disappoint! The vibe is exactly what you would expect from a cute spot on the water. It was light and airy inside. Casual and elegant at the same time. We started with drinks outside while we caught the sunset and waited for our table. A great start to an amazing night! I believe they have a seasonal menu. We started with the ahi tuna and crab stuffed artichoke. I'm a huge ahi tuna fan and this was one of the best I've had. Also, the crab stuffed artichoke - I could eat that everyday! So good! On to our mains! My friend got the chicken and I got the scallops with potatoes. Again... nothing short of amazing! The scallops were perfectly cooked and paired nicely with the crispy on the outside potatoes. I had the peanut butter and chocolate dessert which again, I cannot rave about enough! The drinks were also so good. The thing that pulled this experience all together was the staff! Everyone was so nice and friendly. They really make you feel like you're at home. I will come back again and again!

Hook at Harvey's is a beautiful bistro at the marina with wonderful staff. Everyone was very kind and welcoming. We sat at the bar and Kelsie is a ray of sunshine - got the fettuccine, pan fried fish of the day, and the spicy ahi tuna sashimi. The dishes themselves were very clearly made by people who love food, fresh ingredients, and careful preparation - every part of every dish was cooked perfectly and complemented everything we ate. If you love seafood and appreciate thoughtful dishes, this would be a wonderful place to try. Wish we could have thanked the chefs personally.

Another fine dining experience at Hook at Harvey. We look forward to our Cape Charles vacations because of, among other things, our meals here. Fine dining in a friendly atmosphere is what they do best!

This is a small place that pumps out amazing food. Best meal we've had in Cape Charles and forever on my list. In fact, next visit I will plan to eat here more than once if I can get a reservation. Speaking of reservations, I couldn't make one so I put myself on the wait list with my phone number and a note that we were really hoping to eat there. I walked to Cravings to buy a salad and small pasta salad for my husband and me and as soon as I paid, I got the call that someone canceled and they had availability at 7. Yes! We will be there. Since we stayed at The Northampton, we had a fridge to stash the food from Cravings for beach time the next day. When we arrived we were greeted by a very confused young lady who kept trying to seat us at a six-top table when there was an empty table for two right next to it. I explained the situation but she sat us at the six top anyway. A few minutes later she came back and moved us to the two top. With menus in hand, we looked at options and made decisions. We probably sat for 10 minutes before the server came over. It's clear they are relaxed and want that vibe for their customers too. We placed our orders of crab bisque, Asian seared tuna, lamb chops and seafood pasta, and we each got a martini. We were off! Water was brought, bread delivered and drinks arrived shortly after. The food here is amazing! Everything was cooked to perfection, the service was just right and not rushed. This was worth every penny and we are grateful we got in.

Ok so this small place is amazing. First thing we sat at the bar and you should probably get a reservation. The service is awesome and a great reason to go back. We loved this place our server was also the bar keeper. Kelsey. She was amazing. The appetizers were a lot bigger than I thought they would be but they were incredibly fresh and tasty. Seasoned well and beautiful to look at. The soup was the right kind of creamy and crab mix. The puff pastry was buttery and flaky and held up to a lot of crab. The main dishes were large as well. You get a lot on your plate. My beef tenderloin was a perfect medium rare. The potatoes and vegetables were perfectly presented and tasted fresh and seasoned perfectly. The seafood pasta was fresh and huge. So much in that bowl you can taste every element and the pasta was freshly made. We took some home and was stuffed. Absolutely worth the drive and cost. A great experience. You must go.

Great, Fantastic, Delicious, Incredible, Quaint and Outstanding Service. I had the Seafood Alfredo which had clams, halibut cheek, shrimp and sea scallops in a light Alfredo sauce. My wife had monster sized sea scallops with several different types of mushrooms with a cream sauce.

Hook @ Harvey has been on my radar for a while now. I was supposed to come here a few years ago but had to cancel my reservation at the last minute bc plans changed. Last weekend, my husband and I came in to celebrate our April birthdays while staying in Cape Charles for the weekend. Our server was wonderful, Kelsey I believe. Super friendly and attentive, but not overly so. We chose the crab pastry appetizer and it was very good and loaded with fresh crab meat. My husband went with the veal entree and I had the seafood fettuccine. Both were wonderful and high quality with huge portions (we could've split one between us). The fettuccine is made in-house, it was loaded with crab, shrimp and scallops (they were out of oysters) and is in a light white wine sauce which was wonderful bc it wasn't overly sauced. The veal is egg-washed and lightly flash fried stuffed with cheese and prosciutto and served on noodles with asparagus. Also wonderful. A few things I was disappointed by: their tea isn't fresh or brewed in-house but is the bottled Lipton kind and as such, not very good. Also, they ran out of the dessert for the night, cheesecake, and it was our birthday so we didn't get any dessert which was disappointing bc that was what I specifically planned to get from seeing the menu/photos in advance.

We popped in for a casual beer break, and it quickly turned into one of the highlights of the day. The space itself is gorgeous! It's open, airy and designed with a laid-back coastal vibe that fits Cape Charles perfectly. You order both beer and food inside at the counter, which keeps things easy and low- key. I went with the Pilsner, and it was exactly what I wanted, perfect after a day out exploring. Their beer list has something for everyone, whether you're into lighter options or something with a bit more depth. We didn't order food this time, but everything coming out of the kitchen looked incredible. They've got plenty of options like burgers, nachos, and other brewery favorites that definitely seemed worth trying next time. What really stood out was the atmosphere. There was so much going on in the best way. They had a dog adoption event happening outside while we were there, which added such a fun, community-driven vibe. They also host live music and other events regularly, so it feels like there's always something to check out. The outdoor space is huge and perfect if you're with a group or bringing kids. There's a fire pit, games like cornhole, and plenty of room to spread out and hang for a while. Definitely the kind of place you plan to stop at for one drink and end up staying much longer. I will be adding this to my must visit list anytime I'm on the Eastern Shore.

However, if you want to substitute onion rings instead of fries it will cost you $8 extra, making it a $26 meal. So really you're just buying a side of onion rings and also not getting the fries. This is not a substitution. This is buying more and getting less. Please tell me how this makes any sense!?!? I gave quite a bit of push back along with some real life number crunching... but the employee could not seem to understand the lack of logic that, based on their menu prices, an onion ring substitution should be more like $1, and not $8. This is adding 45% to the cost of the meal which is absurd. This is not a surcharge, it's just buying onion rings and also not getting the fires that come with the meal. I wasn't going to pay $26 for a burger, so got the fries which were actually amazing, but not what I wanted... and the burger just was okay... but I can't seem to get over their lack of understanding that this makes no sense. Just write no substitutions if you don't want to bother catering to your customers! I was a tourist heading home from a mini vacation and REALLY craving onion rings, this venue made me super grumpy for no good reason except stubbornness and lack of math skills and reasoning and customer service. Not impressed.

There are hardwood tables and beautiful booths along with a private dining area in the back. Really couldn't ask for or want for a more comfortable environment. *Service: absolutely stellar, super friendly staff, our server could not have been nicer or more genuine, or had more of an "ownership attitude" as if the restaurant meant everything to her, and so did us being there. She knew everything on the menu, had great recommendations, and insured we were consistently taken care of. She truly missed nothing. Harper, the owner, came over to check on us and ensure we were enjoying ourselves. He couldn't have been nicer or kinder or more humble. Service was outstanding. *Food & Drinks: The food! The drinks! Oh man! I've been a "Yelp Elite Member" for almost 10 years and the food here at hT is near the top of all my reviews, hundreds of them. The highest quality ingredients, impeccably curated, ingeniously but simply paired, created with a true love for the art of cooking and the true joy of the consumer. This was obvious. We started with a Mainstream Manhattan and Old Fashioned from the bar. No ordinary bartender, she's a true mixologist/professional. Both drinks were excellent, no "simple syrup" used here, raw sugar cubes melted into the finest spirits, yummm! We order brussels sprouts from the appetizer menu everywhere we go and compare them. None have ever come close to our favorite, for a dozen years, until now. These were crispy on the outside, but juicy inside, flash fried to an al dente bite and finished (almost injected) with a cherry vinegar glaze that permeated every bite with sweet, tart perfection. We also started with the vibrant Camden County May Pea & Truffle Toast which was like a celebration of spring with a fresh, grilled baguette topped with fancy Italian truffle cheese (insane!), sweet tender may peas, and fresh pea shoots, all drizzled with olive oil for a fresh, earthy, and simple bite that captured the essence of this farm-to-table cuisine. For entrees we ordered the Ben Johnson's Soft Shell Crabs with remoulade and the Brown Sugar Brined Porkchop with pimp cheese, grits, and chard tomatoes with a side of hand cut fries with roast shallot mayo. Everything was stellar, no exceptions. I can honestly say this was **the best pork chop I've ever eaten, ever.** Tender, sweet, meaty and paired perfectly with the creamy cheese grits and the tang and smoke of the charred tomatoes. Ridiculously good! See my photos, too bad they don't come with "taste-o-vision", because, wow! The hand cut, skin on, double fried potatoes and roast shallot mayo were fantastic. As if that wasn't enough food, they also brought us stone ground cornbread, with a massive slab of rough salted butter, steamy, warm, soft, buttery perfection. I'm ready to go back now! *Value & Overall: I posted pictures of all menus and all prices. Their spirits and mixed drink selections from the bar are incredible. The food, service and ambience simply couldn't have been better. Prices, as you'll see, are exactly in line for what you get and an excellent value. Portions on everything were excellent and we ended up taking home quite a bit of food, which was also stellar the next day. I absolutely cannot recommend Harper's Table highly enough. This establishment, all parts of it, truly earn a five star review across the board with no exceptions. Have no hesitation, make a reservation, go, it will become an instant favorite.
