The entire staff was welcoming, friendly, and genuinely made us feel like valued guests. The restaurant itself was spotless, bright, and had a comfortable atmosphere that made it easy to relax and enjoy our meal. The food was absolutely amazing. Every dish was fresh, flavorful, and prepared with great attention to detail. It truly felt like I was enjoying a delicious home-cooked meal made with love and care. The generous portions and quality ingredients made every bite memorable, and it was clear that the kitchen takes pride in everything they serve. A special thank you to our server, Anton, for providing exceptional service. He was attentive, professional, and incredibly friendly throughout our visit. He checked on us regularly, made sure our drinks stayed full, answered our questions with a smile, and made us feel well taken care of without ever being intrusive. His positive attitude and genuine hospitality made our dining experience even more enjoyable. Thank you to Anton and the entire staff for creating such a wonderful experience. The restaurant has a classy, well-thought-out atmosphere with authentic Filipino charm. I ordered the Fried Pla-Pla fish, which looked incredibly appetizing and tasted even better. I also tried the Pork Sisig, served on a sizzling plate, and it was outstanding. The combination of textures, flavors, and presentation made it a real standout dish. If I had one minor criticism, it would be that the service was a bit slow. However, that was easily outweighed by the quality of the food and the overall experience. Highly recommend this place, and we'll definitely come back if we have the chance.

The restaurant has recently moved from its old address in South Maginhawa to a new place near my house. The new North Maginhawa location is more accessible from Philcoa, and it has the fun and quirkily decorated jeepneys where you can eat your big group. If you commute via jeepney every day, chances are you will be familiar with the witty slogans like "Basta sexy, libre. Basta chubby, doble" that Gerry's put up around their location. Their group meals which are named after main jeepney routes (Monumento, Ayala, Quiapo and Cubao,) are set up on banana leaves, inviting diners to dig in and have a great time, even without utensils. The quality of the food and the cheerful ambiance makes it a cheaper yet superior substitute to Seafood Island.

A lot of their food is family style, but you are able to order individual meals as well. We got a spread to share and then added some more meat dishes to have more options. I've always wanted that kamayan experience and I finally got it here. I would def come back again if I'm ever in Manila again.
