Was hungry for dinner and we wanted a sit down restaurant without being outdoors as the mosquitoes are killers in the evening night air here in the Philippines. We decided to go here to Jerry's Grill as we were familiar with their food.
Jerry's food is mediocre or average at best for Filipino food. I rate this place as 3 stars only. Service was pretty good. Place is within the Starmall San Jose del Monte in Bulacan on the second floor. The restaurant was clean and organized, and we received our orders pretty quick here.
We ordered:
1) Sizzling Kangkong - pretty good but it was a little salty (3.5 stars)
2) Inihaw na Pusit - grilled whole squid cut in slices was sweet and kinda small but it was pretty good and not a tough chew (3.5 stars)
3) Pork wrapped in Liang - forgot the name of this but it was pretty good and a little spicy. It had a sweetness to it that I am not used to (3.5 stars)
4) Pinakbet - pretty good but just not my favorite veggie dish. I hate bittermelon! (3.5 stars)
5) pork with light mayo sauce - it was like lechon kawali but I forgot the name of it (4 stars)
6) cappuccino- very good but small for price (3.5 stars)
7) Buko Pandan shake was watered down and lacked coconut taste and milk. (2.5 stars)
8) Four seasons shake - kinda sweet and sour to me but after awhile, it's hard to finish (3 stars)
They did accept senior discounts without their cards as my aunts forgot their cards in the hotel. As long as you memorize the numbers so they can see them in the computer, you're good to go. Also, don't try to use your US ID as it won't work to receive their senior discount rate in the Philippines.
Overall, average Filipino restaurant to go to. I would still go here as there is not many choices for sit down in this area of Bulacan. My first review in 2019! [1/100] read more
