Exceptionally unprofessional. Arrogant, condescending and rude. If Gershey Appliance Service remains the authorized provider for Whirlpool rest assured I will NEVER buy a Whirlpool appliance! If you want to be disrespected this is your service if not avoid at all cost! Absolutely horrible. I will never deal with these clowns again! Totally inappropriate and obnoxious. Rather than follow the most basic service protocol ie. diagnostics and recalibration they prefer to belittle the homeowner. Don't call these inept "technicians ". You're better off searching youtube and diagnose yourself. Obviously this service is not concerned with solving your issue. I guess it's easier to blame the homeower than to do any actual work. They ordered my part 9 days ago and I got a call on Tuesday to schedule for today which is 2 days later. I then called in for a window of when they were coming and they told me not for another week because they have no one in my area. I live 30 minutes from the business. If I rean my business like this I wouldnt have a business. Stay away! read more

Our fridge broke down so we called these wizards to come take a look. This was Friday. The guy told me the compresssor and evaporator were bad. $145 estimate fee. He said they would get back to me either later Friday or Monday for the price To make the repairs.... No word Friday, no word Monday, no word Tuesday. Finally called Wednesday. They said they didn't get back to me because of phone issues. what a joke. $3000 to fix the fridge. What a clown show. Don't use this company, they are just awful. read more

The technician who came was not only here in the given time frame but knew exactly what needed to be done, worked quickly, diligently, clean and was able to answer any questions I had. Terrible experience. I would never allow this company into my home again. As long as my husband was involved everything about the call seemed normal. When I came into the kitchen with my questions, It quickly became clear that I was not welcome in the conversation . What continued was a disrespectful exchange which I have never experienced before, I have owned 4 homes previously and understand the give and take while dealing with contractors, repair,etc. I left the room. When the repairman left, as he walked past our living room window when I was seated, he paused,looked directly at me and gave me a dirty look. Never again. read more

I had a wonderful experience with Gershey Appliance Service. My stovetop wasn't working properly. The lady who answered was polite and pleasant taking my info. She told me they would call the night before to set an approximate time and give me the repairman's name. He would call in the AM when he was on his way . He would be masked and I was required to be the same or he would not enter. I appreciated the concern for everyone's safety. The technician came, explained the problem and showed me the worn out part. He did an excellent job and could not have been more courteous. Dan, the service/maintenance man that came to my house was wonderful! He was very pleasant, informative and very knowledgeable about the appliance. The previous gentlemen, the same service. Wonderful! The downside to this company is the receptionist. She should not be answering phones or dealing with the public. When she answers the phone, you know instantly she hates her job. She is the complete opposite of the gentlemen. I had my washer serviced over a month ago. I called about two weeks ago to get an update on the parts that were supposed to be ordered. At first she could not locate my service ticket. She eventually found it, so she said she would contact the company and get a status on my parts order. I never received a call back so I called again today. Let's just say the call did not go well. She doesn't help to get the customer answers or timeframes. She said they don't do call backs on status updates otherwise they would be calling 800 people a day. Busy appliance company! I told her, she's the reason they get bad reviews. She told me, I was going to be put on the "list", and only 6 other people are on that list. After we hung up the phone, Dan called me back. He was very pleasant and said he would schedule to get the one part of my maintenance completed and he would get me an estimated time frame for the other part I was waiting for. It was that simple to be pleasant and helpful, and that is good customer service. So, thank you Dan! read more

I am very disappointed with Gershey Appliance. I called them because we have a small gas leak in our Viking cooktop and wanted them to come service it because we have very few companies locally who can do the repair (we had a company local to us come out and it was a terrible experience). We are outside of their service range (it would take just under an hour for them to get to our home), so I offered to pay for mileage both ways or a service charge. Basically, I was willing to pay whatever it took to get them to come because we have zero other options. The woman told me there was nothing they could do. I literally told her, "Ma'am, we have no other options" to which she replied that she was sorry. I understand that we are out of their service area, but I was willing to pay whatever it took to make up for that, and so now, we're just supposed to not have a solution to a gas leak? Absolutely terrible customer service. read more
