Our truck and trailer weren't in good enough conditions to tow all the way up to Pismo Beach from Westminster, CA. so I was referred to GETAWAY RV RENTALS and they took care of EVERYTHING!!! They hooked up a 30ft. Salem RV that was fully stocked with pots, pans, dishes, silverware, coffee pot, toaster, BBQ etc....everything we would need to have the best camping experience ever, and it sleeps 7-8 guests. We don't even have to tow it back.... they take care of everything at a price i could even afford. Ten days at the beach, and ladies only. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MOMMA! This was are first time to rent a RV. I put out the awning my friend rolled it up because of wind. It rolled up fine. They said that it was bent. We have to pay $1772.00 for a new one. My advice take pictures before and after ! I didn't do that we were just so excited my mistake very expensive lesson well learned we will never use them again. read more

While at Pismo Coast Village, I watched the "Owners Son" picking up a trailer. While he was packing up everything, he unhooked the city water connection hose and used it to clean out the black tanks through running water through the toilet. If that isn't the most disgusting thing I've ever seen. That hose is to be reserved only for water that is used for drinking, washing dishes etc. and he used it in the bathroom. He finished packing up the trailer after we had taken off. Upon return, realized he had also packed up all the nearby trailers chairs that didn't not belong to him. Then the owner made a HUGE stink about having to return them to their proper owners after he insisted they drive to pick them up themselves. He did get them back, but couldn't even be bothered to apologize for the "mix up". read more

Sky River had our travel trailer for 3 weeks. Only fixed half of the needed repairs. We asked their sales department about selling the trailer, outright or consignment. Really low ball offer. We went to Get Away RV in Templeton. They finished the repairs, charged close to nothing and sold the trailer quickly for over 10K more than Sky River!! Great place!! Highly recommend!! This is the easiest best way to RV. This is our second time using Get Away RV rental.. Both times went smoothly and without a hitch. Pun intended. The Hanson's are great. Excellent customer service. We went to Pismo Coast Village. The trailer was brand new beautiful and clean. The best part is they set it all up for you at the campsite. Including, sewage, water, and 4 camping chairs set up around the fire pit. And when you leave you just wipe everything down and they come and pick it up. My wife and I choose the tow it ourselves option and Craig makes it as easy as if we were towing our own trailer. They trailers are always spotless and everything functions flawlessly. We reserved 2 RV's in march for our wedding in June. We paid in full. However, they cancelled our trailer about 3 weeks before the event. Then they said we may not get a refund since it was in the 30 day cancellation period (that they cancelled on us). Craig the owner says, in an email, that they will refund us 450 dollars when they drop off the other trailer. He comes to drop off the trailer but doesn't bring a check. He then tells me that it's "only" 450 dollars so for me not to worry. (As a teacher on summer vacation 450 is a bit.) he proceeded to cuss at my fiancé and mother. I told the venue about the situation and she said they would never recommend them again, as I would also advise for anyone else. read more

Tried talking to crew member about my emergency cancellation due to COVID situation. Only one day after talking about renting did I have to cancel. I wasn't aware of not getting the full refund. Hope to still see it on my credit card. Tried to explain but got a hang up. He was to busy so I know he wasn't going to lose money because I cancelled. Sad. read more

We had a contract to rent an RV a month ahead of the event. A week in a half before the event they told us that they were not going to rent the rv to us because they had someone going to rent the RV for a longer period of time. They disregarded the agreement for someone who wanted to rent for a longer time. Needless to say this business is horrible and what kind of business disregards a contract and agreement. This is an update to my review. Craig did not do the right thing, he has kept my money. I have had communication since the first review and he stands by his opinion. To keep the record the straight, I booked a trailer for late July. This trailer was a new trailer he was going to order in May. I cancelled my reservation before he ordered the trailer. So he has never returned the remainder of my reservation fee. This was never about the money, it was about the principle. read more

They are a horrible business, I don't think they understand the word contract, apparently contract means nothing to them because they change their mind if they can make an extra dollar. They left a voice mail saying they would not be honoring their contract because someone wanted to rent the RV a longer period of time. read more
