BIG SHOUT OUT to the Rangers at Lake Nacimiento on 06/06/2020. Boat ran FANTASTIC all day. We were at Asbury Creek when she went out on us. Seems to be electrical related...ugh. Boat has been solid for 13 years and went down on us twice this season. New injectors, tune up....you all know B.O.A.T (Break out another thousand) LOL - We weren't broke down for more than 5 minutes when a family of three in a new Maroon colored Malibu came up to us (24 hours on new boat- BEAUTIFUL) They asked if we needed a tow and I said unfortunately, yes. I mentioned we are at the main marina and they said they could take us back half way. I said perfect. During this time, I called BOATUS whom we are members with and was told they don't have a resource at the lake, but will continue to try and find someone to help get us the rest of the way..... in the mean time, the anchor rope we were using broke and couldn't have happened at a better time. A Ranger boat was passing us and noticed it. They flipped around and offered to take over and get us back to the marina...SWEET! We offered the first tow $200 and like most of us who have towed others, they turned it down and said pay-it-forward. The rangers took over and got us back safe. It was pretty windy and one jumped on the dock with me to help secure our boat until I could get the trailer. Once secured, we offered the same donation of $200 and were turned down. These two are AWESOME in every way. You have a GREAT TEAM MCPRA at Naci - KEEP IT UP!!! P.S. While at the dock, I noticed an older couple having issues putting their boat on the trailer. I jumped in and secured it for them (Paying - it - forward)

Nice marina with a store located on the water, your able to just pull up to the dock, tie off and walk right inside. We went in here for the first time to look for "water gloves" or "wet gloves" to wear while riding the jet skis because we forgot ours at home. Unfortunatly, they only had very small sizes in the few options they had so we weren't able to purchase any.

This is the place where you check in and you pay your fees

We are now on day two at this lake nacimiento. I felt comfortable with the checking process, they asked for CF number for kayaks which I thought was a little strange. But once we got out onto the lake we were able to play our music loud and obnoxiously and create wakes in the no wake zone. The water was clean and black color which is always a good thing. And I will also add that the Mastercraft X 45 performed at it's peak. The two ladies that check this in at the gate were pleasant, a little sarcastic, but so are we, so it made for an enjoyable check-in experience. I forgot I promised to leave a radio so here it is I came to the part where they check my muscles. After the lady checked my undercarriage Another flotation devices, She argued about whether I was on the lake or not 24 hours ago. She was very short and snappy with me, I believe it is a case of small woman syndrome. She wore her fluorescent vest and was rude. The short squatty woman was rude and condescending. We had kayaks that were moist from yesterday from the lake. She said they were all wet. It was her attitude that bothered me most.

Day use for one car + a dog for $17. Separate parking for day use and camping. Fine sandy beaches for sunning, swimming and floating. Temps were in triple digits in August.

Great time at this lake, so big you even get lost. The water is very choppy while boating. They have camping and live music on Saturday night at the restaurant/bar. They also have movies for the kids and a candy shake with outdoor seating. In the water they have party coves too for adults only.

From the start, the staff was friendly, helpful, and attentive. The manager, Layla, personally greeted us at check in and gave us a lot of great advice for the local area (where to eat, rent boats, etc). Whenever we stopped by the main office on our way in or out, she remembered my name and checked in to make sure everything was going great. We didn't run into any real issues, but I could tell they would have diligently solved them. Once we got to the cabin, the breathtaking view of the lake from the cabin and balconies was so serene. There was even a little private beach (only about 20 feet long) which we share with a few of our resort neighbors but was mostly empty. Perfect to dip our feet in the water and jump on the boogie board -- literally 2 minute walk from our balcony. The food options are a little limited, but the remote nature is one of the perks of this place, so I can't complain. What I ate from the local pizza joint and grocery was all tasty. The kitchen was well stocked with cooking and eating utensils so you could definitely take care of yourself with ease. The beds were comfortable and AC strong (both musts for me). Overall I can't really think of anything I'd change. Except maybe staying 2 nights longer.

They responded quickly, I got some cell service, and we confirmed our reservation for last seating at 8:30. Sydney at the front desk, great name by the way, also confirmed a $25 corkage fee for the special bottle we wanted to bring. We did the 4 course dinner and it was a pleasant surprise to have so many good choices with each course. Since it's right next to Interstate 5, it is very convenient for t9ad trips doen California. When I initially looked up the restaurant, I was a bit confused because online it seems that they have 4 different restaurants, and I wasn't sure where they are all located. But we just went and followed the signs that said "Restaurant." When we walked in the main entrance, the first thing we saw was the Country Store. To the right is the Horseshoe Lounge, the Prime Steakhouse in the middle, and Ranch Kitchen is towards the end. I think they also have a barbecue restaurant, but in a separate building. This place is massive. We decided to dine at Ranch Kitchen, where there was a huge group of people sitting right outside. I originally thought they were waiting for a table, but they were all just there for the restroom since this seems to be the place to be for pit stops down I-5. It was around 6 PM on Monday, and we got seated pretty quickly. We ordered the 14 oz. Choice Ribeye (medium rare) and the Country Fried Steak. Both included either baked potatoes or mashed potatoes (we opted for baked) and broccoli and carrots. The ribeye also included either a soup or salad, but given the current scare with the lettuce parasite, I opted for the clam chowder. They start you out with hot bread rolls and some salted whipped butter. The ribeye was very tender and delicious. It was well-seasoned and does not need steak sauce or anything. The country fried steak was quite tasty and comes with a massive amount of gravy, the way I like it. Overall, this was a great stop with great food. The service was amazing and the waiter was very attentive. This will definitely be a regular pit stop of ours.

When we checked in and got to our room, the property felt completely empty. We were the only guests we could see, which made the whole place feel eerie and uncomfortable. We walked around the entire property and saw no one. There were only three cars in the parking lot, including ours and the front desk employee's car, yet we were told they were "fully booked" when we asked about moving to a larger room. The room itself was not great. The bed is extremely hard and squeaks with every movement. On top of that, the AC does not work. We told the front desk before leaving for dinner about the AC and were told someone would come fix it. When we returned, the room was even hotter than before & it felt like walking into a sauna. The windows don't open, so the only way to get air in is by opening the doors, which obviously lets bugs in. The "free wine tasting" was also frustrating. At check-in, we were told that we would get complimentary tastings at the tasting room. When we went to the tasting room, we were told they were "too busy" for tastings and that we would need to buy glasses of wine instead. We didn't want to make a scene, so we ended up purchasing a bottle and a glass, which came out to $85 & we never received the tastings we were told were included with our stay. Overall, this has been a terrible experience. Between the uncomfortable room, broken AC, lack of guests/staff on the property, and being denied the complimentary tasting we were promised, I would not recommend staying here.
