I've been training exclusively with Alla since I started and am motivated to get up in the morning and work out 3x a week. Alla incorporates a routine mixed with some familiarity and a lot of new challenges every session. She is always problem solving on how to get my body moving outside of its comfort zone and keeps me accountable to work at my best. I have always been a moderately active person but needed something to change up my routine and I'm learning a lot about how my body works and I feel challenged everytime I come into the studio. I have been trained mostly with Rob, but I have had a couple of sessions with all the trainers - JP, Kathy, Haley, Eli and Alla. The gym is one of the major good changes in my life, I am so glad that I found this place. Since I realized I need to work out on a regular basis, I tried things like jogging, going to school's gym, or following YouTube videos to do Yoga and other exercises. All those attempts did not last because my brain got bored soon about the exercises, and all of a sudden I found myself became so creative at making all kinds of excuses to stay on the couch. I felt guilty, and I wondered: Having your body repeat certain movements is simple, but why the hell is it so hard to stick on such a simple thing in a long term? I was eager to find a way to turn workouts into a habit, that was when I decided to give personal training a try. I expected it to work, and it did, far beyond my expectation. I give credit to JP and his excellent FT crew for it, and thank them for making every training session professional, diverse and fun. It is wonderful to have all the trainers that genuinely care about you as instructors and friends. They helped me to rebuild my relationship with my body, which get me motivated to come to the gym, now I find that working with them is a necessary part of my life. It is great to feel the positive change in body. A couple months ago, while I was looking for my next job, I thought it would be bad if I had to relocate for the new job cause I would really miss this place, and I don't know if I could find a better one elsewhere. Knowing my new job would still be in MA was a relief. I am very happy that I can continue working with them. There are two floors, plenty of space, and great variety of training equipment, all in good condition. I like the environment a lot. There is nothing I could complain. You would LOVE this place. What have I gained almost 2 years and 300 work outs (soon!) later? Well, I've gained weight…read morebecause, well a yelpie must eat! (And drink). I don't follow the challenges or the recommended nutrition plans - that said, I may have gained but all of the 25-50 year olds that have followed the programs religiously have shown REMARKABLE transformations! I also have gained strength I never knew after DECADES of lifting, I could accomplish at 60+... I don't do a single burpee, but they have a fix for that. I don't do a lot of overhead work, but they have a fix for that. So when #granniehudsoneatsout (aka yours truly grannie yelpie) can scoop up a 27lb senile dog and pick her up and carry her like a football and not notice it... you know there's something going on. When I can carry stuff up and down stairs and not lose balance and not struggle... you KNOW there is something going on! When I can carry super loaded grocery bags or travel gear running through airports and not even break a sweat... It puts the F in FUNCTIONAL TRAINING. At least at Hudson, trainers are well educated in the field, certified and prepared to meet your needs. I'm building up to my 300 work out chin up (with bands of course) and by 400 my goal is to bust 1 without the bands... That is MY goal? What is yours? Best 45 minutes of the day. And I only go 3-4 days a week (some people practically live there even though the coaches discourage not taking rest days!). You have a lot to lose and a lot to gain when you join. And you will have a blast while you do it. HOWEVER - if you are straight laced, tight underwear, this is NOT the place for you. We don't take ourselves that seriously!

My daughter was training at F45 Hudson and then encountered some health issues. I was focused on…read moreher health and trying to get her better and did not think to look up the policy of her gym and arrange for her membership to be paused. When I finally did, I was met with a very corporate response. For a small gym with a family feel, I was disappointed at the coldness of the response without the manager/owner (?) even considering a way to accommodate us. We were told to refer to our membership contract and not offered any credit. I was actually surprised they didn't ask if she was ok when she stopped coming in suddenly after being pretty regular until she started having health problems. Lesson learned. This place is corporate and not really a family like place as I thought.

When I was there on a recent Saturday, there seemed to be no staff either at the front desk or on the floor. In general, I think that staff should spend more time walking around and watching what members are doing and suggesting improvements and safety tips for them. This service should not be available only for those signed up for paid one-on-one, personal training.

I…read moreaim for 4 hours or more of HIIT training every week to improve V02 Max and cardiovascular health. (I liked the irony of HIIT training that actually let you hit things). In that time along with some strength training and diet changes I managed to go from a size 2XL to a Small. Reducing my overall weight by 50 pounds and my biological age by 7 years. Big improvements start with small changes that you can keep doing for life. Boxing is fun and I will be doing this for a long time.
