It's larger than it looks from the parking lot as it's longer than it is wide but i feel things are tightly packed inside compared to bigger locations like Clinton and Nagog Park. It's ok for me since i use mostly free weights and some nautilus machines. Plus i go really late at night. So the tight feeling isn't a problem when there's practically nobody there. Dumbbells go up to 100 lb which is great. Plenty of squat and bench combo stations. They even have a Smith machine which my home gym in Clinton is lacking. There is a solid leg press machine but i wish they also had a hack squat machine as well. The equipment all seem fairly new and in good condition. The bathrooms are one of the highlights of this location, especially the shower stalls. They are the most spacious of the locations near me and super fancy with tiles on the walls. The best staff, and as a tribute to Dave, the owner, many have been there since the last century. 2.I walk into the locker room and am transported back sixty years to my high school locker room. It's the familiarity; what I don't miss is the group shower. 3.No nonsense. People are there to work out, and no one sits on a machine scrolling through their phone. In fact, people are exceptionally courteous. "Are you done with that?" My answer is, "There are another sixty torture devices I can use." One more plus. More women use that gym than men, and the men who do don't gawk. If they do, they are gone.

The stations are squished together and the exercises kinda boring. The music is too loud and not motivating. The instructor kept referring me to a screen that described the exercise I was supposed to be doing, rather than helping me. You have to pay for a silly wrist thing - cost over 100 bucks for the gimmick of seeing the quality of your workout on a screen - comparing you to all the other participants. Can't believe that this concept will last. Some people like it I guess. Good for them.
