My fault I guess, I did ask for proof, silly me. i love my chair does what I need, but after 18 months my remote broke. Since the case cracked it was considered an accident so it was covered by goof proof. BUT after 22 emails and 8 pictures, I video call, I was told their service department needed to order a part. Someone suggested I look on EBay or Amazon and BINGO, I got the part in one day for $79 From Amazon. I wrote one last email to Guardian, and I told them to cancel their so called search and this should not go towards the one repair per item rule, since I did the work. I do not recommend Bobs because they were not any help to me, the customer, and please stay away from their "goof proof" guarantee. Buying a chair should not be that much work.

While approaching the building, the area is clean and has no hazards. While entering the building (and I wish I would have taken photos), the sales room is large and open, and everything is neatly displayed. I am getting into the reason for the review. When we need furniture, we purchase from Total Furniture as the product is durable and well made. The prices are also very good for the quality. We did purchase the extended warranty, and this time, we needed to use it as our reclining chair broke. They were unable to find the matching piece, so it provided us an allowance to purchase a new chair. We picked one out and brought it home, and two weeks later, the motor stopped working. The warranty is now void because it was a new piece, and the piece was a final sale. We reached out to the manufacturer whose info was attached to the chair, and they told us to contact Total Furniture for assistance. I called and left a message on Tuesday, but I had to wait until Friday at the earliest to hear back as they are closed Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. I received a call back from Nick, who worked with me via text and provided photos and responses, and he finally followed up and said he believed he had a motor that may work. I went to pick it up on Sunday, and Mark then assisted to assure the motor he had was the correct one. So, many thanks to these two gentlemen who work for a great company who stands behind their products. We will return to Total Furniture when looking for new furniture and, in the meantime, spread the word about the great service they provide!

I had another chair recovered in velvet at Calico Corners in Wilmette and it does not attract dust and lint at all so it is not necessarily a function of all velvets. You were not nearly as helpful as you sound here on yelp when I had these complaints after the sofa was done. You' were completely unresponsive and refused to assist any further. At minimum, the sofa should've been comfortable and you definitely did mislead me on your product.

SCAM SCAM SCAM!!! Bought a 4000.00 couch last year. We explained to the sales lady that we had a…read moredog and needed pet coverage. She sold us the warranty with full coverage. Any damage for any reason is covered. Called to use the warranty due to a damaged cushion. Was told to call the warranty company, Serveco, they would cover it. Was told on the phone by Steinhafels to make sure we tell Serveco it was a single incident with a dog, not accumulation over weeks. We told Steinhafels we had a full warranty, they again said don't tell Serveco it was over weeks but one incident. Called Serveco. They asked for photos. We sent photos. They responded with that they weren't covering the damage because it's accumulation of pet damage not a single incident. I repeatedly asked for a manager to call me to discuss. Weeks later worth of asking the manager called and said we were not covered for pet damage and they wouldn't do anything. Now all of a sudden we aren't covered but we were before? So we call steinhafels and explain to them. We're now told that the salesperson sold us the wrong warranty and no one was covering our damage. It's up to us to pay for it. Complete garbage. They sold us a useless warranty and will not honor it even though their salesperson screwed up. This couple hundred dollar fix is going to cost them thousands in furniture we were going to spend there next month. Well go to Ashley's instead. Terrible customer service, terrible product, complete scam.

I would also agree with some of these reviews this place is awful I have had my couches for 10…read moremonths and my photos look the same as some of the photos here. I paid $9,000 for these and I also bought the warranty I called had someone come out and they told me this was due to wear we hardly use these couches and I will post the photos so you can see how good of shape everything is I think all they want to do is sell you the item and then not take account when something goes wrong. Then when I call to talk with someone they will not transfer me to a manager they tell me this is final. Do not buy with them.

The piece of furniture arrived with significant damage to one of the doors. We contacted Scandinavian Designs about it, and they stated that they would either replace or repair it. They then took about another six months to inform me that they were not going to do anything and that I was stuck with the broken device. Any customer needs to understand that their warranty is no good.

We stopped at their warehouse/larger store (there is also a design center downtown) and found a large showroom full of things I'd very much like to buy. There's a clearance area off to the side that sells floor models and returns at good discounts. We were looking for some lounge-y chairs and there were options aplenty. Helping us was very knowledgeable Barb who was never intrusive and let us look around. After making the rounds, we kept coming back to one specific chair - Barb let us know they had 2 in stock from a cancelled order (most things are made to order) in our preferred color, plus they were included in their anniversary sale. SOLD!! I work on the commercial furniture side and felt that the quality here was oberall very high and the prices, for what you get, are pretty fair. It's not IKEA prices to be fair but it's also not made in China crap that will fall apart and bottom out in a few months. You'll love it if: you appreciate mid century or modern design, want a high level of quality, want to customize items. You won't like it if: you need cupholders in your furniture.

I've been to a few other Restores around Wisconsin and Illinois, but this one still remains my…read morefavorite! How awesome is it to shop for your home while giving to a good cause?! This is a huge warehouse, but not overwhelming because it is well organized and well priced. There are two sections. One is furnished with used furniture stocked with donations from individual parties and businesses like the local country club, or stores. Come often because its merchandise turns over very quickly. The other section is the warehouse, where there are tools, hardware, contractor supplies (tiles, cabinetry, plumbing fixtures, and glorious wood!), and salvage materials. If you are handy or artistic, this is a dream. For a while there, we were going every week as we decorated our house. Still go there from time to time to not only browse, but to say hi to the wonderful volunteers there. Ask for Frank or Lois. They are the best! Remember--it's also the ultimate green (reduce, reuse, recycle) shopping experience. P.S. They are not open every day so plan accordingly. Last I checked it was Tuesdays, Saturdays, and Sundays.
