New chain, cassette, and we are derailer adjustment
    Eric E.

Took my bike in for some repairs that I caused because my first experience with a bike shop was unpleasant. Long story short went in for a new chain and derailer adjustment also with some tightening of some spokes this intern did not fix the issue I was having I took it right back and told the guys there what was the issue they hopped on the bike and they found that my cassette was shot. They brought it back and had one in stock put that sucker on and they say go for a test drive and long behold my bike is good as new! Prices were fair and ascension was also above adequate for having 30 minutes left in the shift when I got there.

    My sweet new bike!

The level of service I received at Zion Cyclery was something I very rarely experience. Grant was extremely helpful and patient. He spent over two hours with me, and I never felt rushed. The selection here is amazing, and they are very knowledgeable about their products. If you need a bike or service, this is your spot. You'll be blown away. Thanks Zion Cyclery!

Previously my mom had bought a bicycle here but I had never visited the store. Since I was in the need of a new bike, since my original bike was accidentally donated, I figured this was a great place to start after my mom had such a good experience. Social distancing measures are still under affect so when I stopped by only four customers were allowed in at a time. While I did have to wait a bit to be helped it was worth it for the customer service. When I mentioned what I was looking for the employee (who I believe was one of the owners) was very knowledgeable and pointed me in the right direction. Of course it is best to test drive a bike just like a car so I rode around the parking lot for a couple of laps while he explained how to shift gears and shared other information about the bike. I ended up trying two the second being the one I ended up buying! It rode similar to the first but has that retro look which I was sort of looking for. Overall the experience was amazing and I will definitely stop by again especially because I want to try one of their protein shakes.

I've had a hard time trying to frame this. I'll try this…read more I had to listen to a performative dood talk emanating from the floor worker to a customer about chain lubricant that went on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. And on an on an on an on and on. And on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on and on. And on and on and on and on and on an on and on and on and on and on. It was a long time. I waited. And I waited some more. I did some serious waiting five feet away in a red sweater. No acknowledgment. No letting me know it might be a while. But that would've likely stopped the upselling I started to see. So I turned me and my bike around and left. It's hard for me to be on my feet that long. That's why I bike. Dood has a right to be into his subject matter. Usually shops want you to feel comfortable and respected as somewhat of a priority, even if you aren't being directly pitched at the moment... it just was not a good vibe. All doods working there when I was in. Way heavy on the dood vibe. Captive audience syndrome. Sigh. Dood has to do what a dood does. I avoid places like this. Going to the bike collective in Rogers Park instead next time.
