Get Moving was Fantastic!. I called them for an estimate. They got someone to my apartment the next day. I got the estimate immediately that evening. In comparison to MayFlower and Atlas this price was $3000 less for my cross country move. But most importantly everyone I dealt with provided me with great customer service and acted as if I were their only customer. Tracy was my main point of contact and she was superb! Then packers came, they were fantasti! Then my mover came-Miguel was my driver and again he and his crews in NY and NV were stellar! Throughout the entire process Get Moving and Wheaton in IN called/communicated with me constantly to make sure I was pleased with the way the move was progressing. Just had our second wonderful experience with Get Moving USA. We had a very difficult situation with getting a piano out of the house and into another one. The guys were professional courteous and capable. On top of that we got a great deal. The previous move was out of our apartment and into our new house an hour away. I used Get Moving USA to move from Tampa, FL to Pittsburgh, PA a couple months ago. I needed to move within a short amount of time (which also happened to be a super busy time for them), but they were able to make it happen very smoothly. Even when the delivery date got changed to a time when I couldn't be home, they went out of their way to accommodate my schedule. There was no damage to any of my items. This is the moving company from hell. First the customer service representive Tracy is the most unfriendly and rudest person I ever had to deal with. When delivering my piece from Restoration Hardware they chipped the front of it and when brining it in they put a hole in my wall! On top of that the guys doing the delivery reaked of marijuana. I highly suggest using a different company when purchasing from Restoration Hardware. In result of them making a hole in my wall I lost my $300.00 move in deposit and they refused to compensate. So in all I had to pay $540.00 for delivery. I just hope no one else uses them so they don't have to go through this massive headache I did. read more

I have had a HORRIFIC experience with Get Moving USA. STAY AWAY from this company!!!! I purchased an undamaged table from the Restoration Hardware Riverhead Outlet in May and had my table stored and delivered by Get Moving USA while I waited to close on my house. Get Moving USA delivered my table in July with A LOT of damage. 6 chips in the base of the table and a crack on the top of the table. I have proof from pictures in the store and sign off from the RH manager that the table was not damaged at the point of purchase. I reached out to Get Moving USA multiple times via phone and email and they were highly unprofessional. For example, they tried to blame the damage on the fact that it was an "outlet item" even though I presented before and after pictures and sign off from the manager of the store. After multiple emails and phone calls, USA Moving finally agreed that they would send a repair person. However, yet again, I had to follow-up multiple times to actually schedule the repair consultation. The repair person was at least pleasant and they agreed that the damage was most likely due to storage/delievery. The repair person notified me that they would get back to Get Moving USA with their report and I NEVER HEARD BACK from Get Moving USA for well over a month until I proactively reached out again. Get Moving USA is agreeing to repair the multiple chips to my table; however, they are not willing to repair the glaring crack that was made to the top of the table, claiming that it is "inherent to that particular type of wood" and is "cosmetic." This statement is completely ridiculous and they are clearly making excuses for damage they have caused. They are unprofessional, rude, and do not take ownership for damage that they have caused. They definitely do not follow their mission statements online.... "You'll find friendly, helpful people ready to listen and answer your questions" - false! "customer first" philosophy - false! Moved from Long Island to upstate NY. The price was fair and the guys were great. We had lots of stuff and the only thing missing was a small bathroom rug - I suppose that's life. What prevents me from giving five stars is the way Debbie and Tracy handled the payment. We had asked for a cash price, Debbie said she would get back to us and never did. Then, while driving upstate the day before our things were to be delivered, Tracy calls and demands a credit card payment. I explained that we were waiting for a cash price and only then were we told the cash price was $50 less and would not be worth it. That's fine - but then Tracy demands a credit card payment right then and there after I explained that we were driving in heavy traffic and I would do it at the next rest stop. Tracy then demanded that my wife give her the card number. I once again said we would do it in twenty minutes at the next rest stop, which we did. Tracy was very non caring and pushy and the sad part is, we were simply waiting for the cash price that Debbie said she would get back to us on. Hey - if you are going to promise something - just do it and problems like this could be avoided. And I might also note that neither Debbie or Tracy called us to see how the move went - a huge mistake for a service business. So, would I tell you to use Get Moving - absolutely yes. The price is good, the guys and great and they are on time. But - be warned of our experience and don't let it happen to you. read more

Talking with Matthew and Deborah, it seemed as though they truly cared about keeping your personal belongings safe and instilled that mentality in their employees. i recently used Get Moving USA to move from Richmond, Virginia to Brooklyn, NY. i would recommend them to any and everyone. they made my movie ridiculously easy. they're always on time, often earlier to make sure things were properly and carefully packed for me. they not only packed up my belongings, but they were able to disassemble and reassemble things at my pick up and drop off location. i thought moving a king size bed interstate would be a nightmare, and they made it a breeze. everything was neatly packed, wrapped in protective cloth, and nothing had a mark or scratch. it was all very well cared for, even the fragile things such as my glass tv stand and lights/lamps. the 2 gentleman who showed up were quick, friendly, and efficient. they don't waste time, they do things effectively without making mistakes or taking shortcuts. very pleased with how my move went. highly recommend. His price was fair for the services being provided. They furnished me with boxes at my request at a fair price. Most importantly on the day of the move the 3 men arrived & I was given the checklist & they began to wrap & carry the necessary items. They worked quickly , efficiently & neatly. The Forman kept a check on all that was being done & oversaw the operation. I've used other companies before & have never been so satisfied & pleasantly delighted. After selling our home August 2016 we selected Get Moving to remove and store our property. The 3 movers were neat, very careful with our things wrapping and boxing everything so they would be protected. They were on time, and finished almost exactly when they said they would. We moved into our new condo on June 9th and it was the same experience, very professional, finished right on time, NO damage to any of our property, furnishings were placed were we wanted them. The most unprofessional company I've ever dealt with in my life! Our moving day was a bit of a disaster because this company is a sham. Seemed so lovely when we got the estimate, but pulled a bait and switch on us the day we moved in. I knew the moment these two goonie looking creepy guys pulled up with Uhaul truck (not their own) that was obviously too small for the move that we were in big trouble. We were told after15 hours of moving a three bedroom house (that was COMPLETELY ORGANIZED AND PACKED!) 40 minutes away to another empty and flat lot that it would be double the price because it took so much longer than they expected. They said the owners son had underestimated how long it would take them, but they had to be paid. It was midnight and we had a bunch of sweaty, tired "criminals" in our new home with our young children, so we reluctantly paid them to just to get them the Hell out. What was so infuriating is we got a whole spiel from the owner the day of the estimate about how it's illegal to do what they did. We were told specifically that they can only increase the price of the original estimate by a certain amount the day of the move no matter what. The hole thing reminded me of those 3 Brothers moving company commercials on TV. Please stay clear of this company!! read more
