I have been going to Yen for over two years. It's wonderful to have someone that you can count on for a great mani/pedi. All the staff if kind and caring.

The staff were kind to me. The place was relatively clean. They were busy. My problems were that my technician asked me two or three times if I wanted a pedicure and I said no. She didn't wipe and sanitize the station before working on me. I overheard another technician giving a woman a French manicure not listening to her client's requests about length and color. My biggest problem is that my technician resumes nail files and the buffer block. Many many salons do this, but it is actually a health violation. All products that are porous and therefore are not able to be disinfected, are considered disposable. I am an esthetician so I do know about salon etiquette and standards. I really do love how my nails turned out. I won't go back due to the health concerns, but this would be a good establishment for people who don't mind those.

The employees are very kind and accommodating. I have walked in at random to get my nails done and they have gotten me a chair quickly. Each time I have gone I am impressed and satisfied with my nails. I highly recommend this salon!

Jenny got me in 10 min before they closed and stayed late to do my acrylics. She didn't rush at all and they look amazing! I've been going to Get Nails since I was a little girl and got my first pedicure here! I'm now 24 And the prices have kept me coming back. I just had a wonderful time at Get Nails with my sister and our two daughters. We didn't have appointments but they got us in right away. They were very kind to our girls and made the whole experience very pleasurable for all! We will definitely return and bring our girls again. BEWARE! THEY TRIED TO SCAM ME! They tried to scam me and the lady next to me into paying more money for polish and gel! I got a gift certificate, so I went in to get the deluxe manicure and pedicure. They told me if I wanted gel, it would be an extra $15. I just wanted gel on my fingers, not my toes. When I tried to walk back to the wall of nail polish, she told me no three times and that I had to look through the ones on the palettes because "they were the same colors". After looking at them, they most definitely weren't. I had picked out a color that I liked, and she told me if I wanted that specific color, it would be an extra $10. She said I could pick off this one palette only, and everything else was an extra $10 (On top of the $15 gel charge). The palette she gave me was the lamest color selection, and this is a scam because she knows people don't want these lame colors, trying to earn some extra money. When I chose my color, she went to get it and said they were "out" of that color and brought me another one and said I could do this one she picked out instead, not letting me pick a new color. As for my toe polish, it was the same. She didn't even let me pick the color I wanted, pretty sure she just picked a random color after I told her the one I liked. They paint it on so quickly that you can't tell them you don't like it. They'll probably charge you to take it off! Then, a lady came into the nail salon to get a pedicure, and they told her $20 extra for gel!!! When the lady declined, they told her they would give her a discount and charge her $15. Making her seem like she was getting a deal! Then they told her she had long leg hair and insisted they should wax it for $40. They wouldn't stop telling her it was long and she needed it waxed. I felt so bad for the lady; they were trying to embarrass her into giving them $40! Then, to top the whole thing off, as I'm paying, she repeated "add tip, add tip, add tip" over and over until I finished paying. Strange behavior. Horrible experience! Never returning. read more

When I got my toes done they didn't ask what package I wanted. I was then charged $60 for the service. I felt the pedicure I received wasn't anything fancy. I understand that prices are rising but I wish It was made clear what services was receiving and for how much. Other than that they did a great job with my pedicure. Literally the worst pedicure of my life. And also very expensive! I had an appointment at 5 with a friend and she got there like 1 minute before me at 5 and I trailed behind her at 5:01. A guy was waiting for me and seemed PISSED. He was super rough with me. Scowled at me the entire time and I knew it would be bad. He grabbed my legs so hard that he left red marks! But I was so happy to be there and see my friend and there was nothing I could do about it. No one else was In there. No customers and no other employees so it was him or nuthin! My feet look terrible! Lol. He didn't shape the nails, the Polish looks like I did it myself. He didn't use anything to buff the nails and they're all crooked. It really is laughable. He acted like he HATED me the entire time. Needless to say I'll never go back! read more

As I was leaving Tye chased me down because he accidentally over charged me 10 dollars. He had cash in his hand because he know I wouldn't have time to do a credit on the machine. Nails were filed horribly unevenly but the workers were unable to correct the mistake. The guy made me bleed when he was trimming my cuticles also. Then, the gel polish was applied with bubbles in it, the nails weren't covered fully, and my cuticles had polish all over them. Then, after the polish was dried he went over my nails with the file, completely scratching the surface on 1 of them. When I asked if they could fix it, he didn't understand me and neither did his coworkers. I went back in to get it taken off and get a refund but they won't refund you, and the lady was really pushy about redoing the set instead of just taking it off and letting me leave. I only got 12 dollars back after I paid 40 plus tip and spent 2 hours there. Now my nails are short, uneven, thin, and my cuticles are torn and bloody. Really upsetting. read more

I went today to get a gel manicure. Turned out very cute and they even gave me a free design! Salon is clean and staff are nice, but it is a little difficult to find as you have to go upstairs. Very reasonable price and great quality! Will come back next time I need my nails done. read more

Minus the 1 star review and that's how I really feel about this place. Horribly customer service. I had a guy who (1)Clipped my toenails into squares, leaving jagged edges that will most likely cut my bedsheets (2)Filled my bowl with lukewarm water -ITS EFFING WINTER OUTSIDE!!! (3)Rinsed my feet with freezing cold water -AGAIN, ITS EFFING WINTER OUTSIDE (4)with 35 minutes to spare on the clock said he couldn't do a last thought manicure because "we close. We have kid here. We leave to dinner plan. Too late. We ready to leave." (5)THEN there was foreign language words exchanged between the husband and wife and the contention was so thick you could cut with a knife. Take the advice from other reviewers. RUN. read more

This salon is great! It's in a really convenient location and they do a solid job. It's a family owned business and the main reason I always go back is because they always make time for me and are very nice and personable. When I got a full set there, the nails lasted forever with just normal polish and no chipping or breaking or anything! It is great if you are looking for a quick and affordable manicure! The lady who did my acrylic nails was rude and snippy with me. I felt like I was just the next "customer" so I didn't feel like I was treated rightly. She also was super rough with my nails and pressured me into making a good review which I thought was super weird ? I've been to better places before will not be coming here again. read more

Thank you for taking Covid safe. You don't see the plexi glass around every chair and cleaning like they do at get nails. Love the owners.. the nicest people and you will love their pedicure/mani. Also, If you are looking for a place for your kids to have fun, fancy nails. They do such a great job. Kids seats and such darling designs. We need to support these local businesses read more

I came in as a walk in to get a pedicure. They have retro fitted all the COVID protections and it is a very safe and clean environment. You wash your hands when coming in before picking a color. I had a great pedicure and they even worked on my ingrown toenails. I'll definitely be back! Great nail place. read more

EXTREMELY UPSET. I asked for a simple black french tip and got a crooked uneven nightmare. Multiple of my nails are crooked as well as the french tip design. Even the shape itself is terrible and crooked and incredibly uneven. I also left the salon with nail polish on my hands. Cannot believe I even paid and when I realized how terrible my nails were and asked for a partial refund I was refused. They offered to redo but considering how horrid they were the first time I didn't wanna waste my time. They said if a refund was gonna be issued the nails would be cut off not fully removed which would leave me with an even uglier mess. I understand that a refund might not be able to issued but a partial one at the very least. I'm extremely disappointed. I will say that my friends nails are good so if you choose to visit this salon DO NOT get your nails done by the guy there they will turn out terrible. read more

I took advantage of her special Halloween deal pricing and booked the appointment by 31 October. But the unique upside with Lex was that she didn't charge more for men than women! I've seen some studios charge upwards of 33% more to wax a male...so that was what hooked me! I showed up yesterday and was immediately comfortable being around her and her nicely decorated studio suite (yes, images of cats are everywhere as one would expect. ) I've also been enjoying her crazy, clever, and humorous sales graphics/adverts on her website and Instagram sites as they are a real kick to read. Lex was just like an old friend that I'd known for years, I was THAT comfortable around her. In fact, I learned more about skin, skincare, and waxing from her in just this one appointment than all the research I've done over these many years...all while getting up the courage to pull the trigger on my first wax! Lex is a wealth of knowledge on the subject and offers a complete array of esthetic services and 'cosmeceuticals' for her clientele...besides just waxing. My manzilian went as expected...and yes, a few of the 'pulls' stung like a biotch. But Lex's use of a cold damp cloth really helped extinguish the burn, so to speak. She used both a soft wax and a special hard wax - both made for men - on me, and it was over before I knew it. Then came the manjacial which was soothing and helped further cool any hotspots that remained. All in all, it was a great 1st waxing and exactly what I expected. However, what made it special was the conversation between us during the entire appointment. Her process and product knowledge, professionalism, and warmth really make it a wonderful experience. But it didn't start out like that... Ten years ago, like many adults with body image issues, I was not only scared waxing would be excruciatingly painful, but I couldn't fathom being naked and spreading my legs open like a frog in a well-lit room, let alone have a stranger looking at me in that vulnerable state. However, the desire to be hair-free compelled me to what you're doing now: reading reviews and trying to glimpse what to expect. Every six weeks, I see Juls for what we call the "All The Things" treatment. "All the things" starts with my brazilian wax. We're so busy catching up that I hardly notice what's happening down there. Before you know it, I'll roll over on my side into a fetal pose and with a few quick strokes, she's done, and I am gloriously hair-free from front to back! Next are my lower legs (full legs and butt cheeks are a must in the summer), my armpits, and my mustache! Next, her esthetician expertise really shines when she does my brows. It's not just a "brow wax" like you'll get at your nail salon. She's paying attention to my face shape, hairstyle, and hair color. Those details matter, especially if you're like me and opt to have your brows tinted. I always leave with perfectly precisely shaped eyebrows that fit my face and style. While the brow tint works its magic, it's nose time. Yes, I said nose. While plucking a single hair from within your nose is outrageously painful, surprisingly, warm wax on a stick placed carefully inside and swiftly removed isn't terrible at all. The nose hairs are gone without bringing tears to my eyes! No more troll nose. My advice to you: Book an appointment. Meet Juls. Ask questions. You don't have to start with "All The Things." Take as much time as you need to feel comfortable. Keep making appointments. Try something new. Around Halloween, she usually has a cute sign that reads: "You can't scare me; I've seen it all!" I believe she has. You'll get no shame, shock, or judgment about your body or skin--just a skilled professional who cares deeply about helping you look and feel your best. For me, that's very freeing! Juls has taught me about my skin and helped me become comfortable with it. Bonus tip: Get your armpits waxed. Seriously. I saw the Get Nails Salon sign when I was at Starbucks so checked out their reviews online where I found a 5 star review for Joan. I called her, was lucky to get in immediately & had one of the best SNS manicures of my life! The salon is not fancy, as others have mentioned, but Joan is an expert at what she does. Don't go to this place!!! Not only do they look drowsy; they provide terrible customer service and make you feel like they want you out of there as soon as possible. BEWARE - this is not going to be a nice relaxing experience. You are not going to walk out of this place happy. We went here for my sister's birthday, they were friendly and polite. The massaging Chairs were heavenly as well, always a bonus. There were lots of nail colors to choose from. The technicians were friendly and carried on conversations with us. The pedicures were great and I got an amazing leg massage from my tech. It was better than the chair massage. The worst experience ever... I had an appointment with 6 of my friends for mani-pedi. When we walked in no one greeted us, instead we were "ordered" to pick a color. I felt rushed because I wanted all of us to have the manis-pedis done at the same time. Instead I had two people working on me while my friends waited. What was supposed to be a nice relaxing Saturday with friends turned out to be a disaster. I have been getting my nails done at Get Nails for 5 years. I love that they are SUPER fast, have a great color selection and do a great job at shellac. I travel for business and have been to several salons in big cities (San Francisco/NYC) and I am always happy to come back to reasonable prices and nail color that lasts. Also, my entire out of town family (mom, sister, nieces) always want to come here when they come and visit for the same reasons. I always get my nails done with Yen, she is always nice and very professional, she takes her time and I have always been more than satisfied when I leave. Went in on a whim to get a quick pedicure thinking it might not work out, time-wise. I got very speedy service having 2 people doing my pedicure and nails at the same time. I didn't get any pedicure upgrade but it seemed like it because I got a very long calf and shin massage. The man doing my nails was very nice and really had the hustle making sure I liked everything and reminding me they are open on Sundays. I love this salon! I showed up 40 minutes before closing and they gave me a gel manicure and gel pedicure and closed on time. And both were exquisite. I never have to wait in long lines, their prices are slightly lower than the other salons in the city, and they do amazing work. Since I was happy with the shape I already had, I was simply trying to communicate that I wanted to keep it the same. Instead, the conversation kept circling back to questions that left me feeling more confused than guided. The biggest concern was during clipping. Several times the clippers pinched the skin beneath my nails. When I mentioned it, the technician seemed to focus on the tool itself rather than adjusting the angle or technique. It was uncomfortable and not something I've experienced during professional nail services elsewhere. I had also hoped to add a simple nail art design. I brought photos for reference, and while the staff was polite, they seemed uncertain throughout the process. I expected more confidence and guidance. At other salons, technicians will look at inspiration photos and offer suggestions about colors, shapes, or design options. Here, I felt like I was repeatedly being asked to make decisions that I was hoping the professionals would help me navigate. The finished nails were uneven, my cuticles still looked rough, and unfortunately the gel chipped within about a week. My natural nails also felt weaker afterward rather than stronger. What stands out most is that I never felt heard. Good nail technicians don't just perform a service--they listen carefully, help translate inspiration photos into a realistic result, and confidently guide clients through the process. That's the experience I was hoping for. I genuinely think the people here are kind, and this review isn't meant to be harsh. It's feedback from someone who wanted the visit to go well and has had much stronger experiences elsewhere. With more attention to listening to client preferences, consistency in shaping and prep work, and greater confidence when discussing nail art options, I think Sandy Nails could provide a much better overall experience.
