Would definitely NOT RECOMMEND this company as they hire third-party contractors. When buying a home you have to have an inspection done it is the inspector's job to pass or fail Items in the home to make sure that it's ready for new homeowners. upon my inspection, the inspector said that the company who makes electrical boxes that was in my house, went out of business in the late 80s and passed the inspection. About a month and a half into owning our home power to a quarter of the house went out I followed the process that they gave me which was to have the original inspection along with a quote from a new contractor and submit it to them so that they could take care of it the next day I called to find out what the next step was because the quote was rated at $6000 and the contractor that I got the quote from said the electrical box needed to be replaced years ago and that if my home insurance found out I had that electrical box they would not cover me so if my house burnt down because of that box, I would be SOL in a home I called this company back and they told me that they would only pay up to $500 and then when I asked for a supervisor, the supervisor intern tried to twist my words as if I caused a problem and that they would not cover me for that so please make sure you're asking questions and make sure that if something needs to be replaced, do not allow that contractor hired from them to pass it because they will not take care of you read more

Our realtor endorsed Get The Facts inspection company along with a few others, so we contacted them all. Unlike the others, Joe, the owner of Get The Facts, quickly called back, sent the quote, and explained their services and pricing in a very courteous and professional manner. The price that he quoted for the inspection was very fair. Also, Joe made himself available to us for information and questions during and after the inspection period, even calling us back at times that were less convenient for him because we were in a different time zone. After several phone calls of questions, we scheduled the inspection. David, one of the inspectors of this company, conducted the inspection. We weren't in town at the time of the inspection, but the next day we received a fifty eight page report. David was very thorough. He went in all of the most hard to reach places, including a tiny attic above the garage, another on the second floor, and every section of the multi-section roof. He even took pictures of each area referenced. His report was easy to read and to use. The Four Point report and Wind Mitigation report were included in the price. We also asked Joe for recommendations of quality companies that specialized in Wood Destroying Organism (WDO) inspections, home warranty services, and roofing repairs. All these companies have demonstrated the same work ethics, being courteous and professional, which speaks to Joe's commitment to helping customers by only recommending the best services. According to the inspector my roof had a few years left. I had it checked out and it was a disaster. All kinds of rotten wood. Cost me about $8000 the fix something these people missed. I wouldn't mind so much if it wasnt so obvious. I actually noticed it myself and I don't know the first thing about roofs. Rip off. read more

GTF did a pre-purchase home inspection but refused to use the Citizen's inspection form. Not a big deal except that my insurance policy is Citizen's. Instead of asking me to pay them to supplement the original inspection or transcribe the original report to the needed form - they simply outright refused. While they spoke to my insurance and real estate agents about this, they refused to return my phone calls. I had to hire a second company to do the same inspection GTF did - but using the Citizen's form. GTF knows their process refuses to use the Citizen's form but they don't disclose it in advance. So when this happens I get screwed - having to pay for the same inspection twice. if you ever think you may need Citizen's insurance - don't use GTF. They will ignore you as they have me - even if it means they cost you more money in the process. I'll never recommend GTF to anyone. read more

My wife and I recently started the process of purchasing our first home. Get the Facts Home Inspection was awesome. Joe setup the inspection over the phone and David was the onsite inspector. Both were awesome to work with getting everything scheduled, showing up on time and David was clearly knowledgable about everything in/out of the home. He took his time (about 2 hours for a 2k sq ft house) and checked absolutely everything. David was professional every step of the way and walked me through what we were looking at and why it was important. He offered insight, the good, the bad, and the ugly. David also grabbed model numbers and serial numbers off each appliance for their "recall chek" system, which is great!
