Jared Hyers is a scam! I don't know about others but Jared couldn't even tell me where my AC filter was located. He said it was on the roof and after I open that hatch he mention there was nothing there, just an outlet. I remember he closing a door in my face to "privately" talk with my realtor without me hearing when he was doing the inspection, which was when I started to double think my choice of inspection company and inspector. Not to mention Mold, apparently he tested my house for mold and it took less than 2 days to get a report that nobody could understand with a comment from him: "Everything is fine, no mold in that house". Overall I paid over $1000 for the worst inspection ever, on a house almost 2000 sq ft he took less than 2 hours to do everything, I think the overall result was subpar and it is a shame I can't get my money back or something, do not choose Jared Hyers, he will scam you! UPDATE: We are only three weeks into the new house and today we had our AC biweekly maintenance and in the picture below you can see all the bacteria there is in my HVAC. Remember, we paid over $1000 including Mold Inspection and this Jared Hyers wasn't able to find all this bacteria that would require only to take off 4 screws in the HVAC! Unbelievable!!! My husband and I are a military couple who just moved to the area and are buying a home. We needed a VA full 4-point prepurchase home inspection, termite/WDO, and wind inspection reports for a 2,200-square-foot home. So, we decided to use the Florida Building Inspection Group (FBIG) to satisfy our request. We used the FBIG website online to request our home inspection. The site also allowed us to select our home inspector(Donatello Verardi) and the date and time of the inspection. To top it all off, the FBIG offered us a military discount. SWEET! Fast forward to the inspection day; upon reaching the home, we were surprised that Donatello Verardi, the home inspector, had arrived early and begun to inspect the roof. After checking the roof, my husband met Donatello Verardi, who was professional and polite. The entire inspection took a little over an hour. When completed, Donatello provided pictures of the inspection on his iPad, highlighting the significant areas of concern. He was thorough in his assessments and knowledgeable of the overall interworkings of the home. Finally, we received our complete home inspection report within less than 24 hours of the inspection. The inspector left my air conditioner at 73 degrees. I normally have it at 79/80. Being out of state, I could not adjust the temperature. My electric bill had a large increase increase, related to the inspector not putting my air conditioner back to the original setting. Would not recommend this inspector. read more

We live in Utah and are purchasing a home in Valrico that will be done at the end of August. Although our builder has their own inspections, our realtor suggested that we have independent inspections done as an added peace of mind. FBI has been invaluable thus far. We just had our second inspection done by Jonathan and it is obvious that he combed through every inch of the home with a fine toothed comb. By far, the most professional company I have ever had to do a buyer's inspection for me. FBI was much more than just getting a very competent inspector to evaluate the the house. They were responsive and organized. The inspection started at 1pm, lasted about 3 hrs, and I had an amazingly well documented in-depth report available online by the end of the day. My experience with Florida Building Inspection Group (FBIG) was not positive. I selected FBIG based on the customer reviews. Let me begin by saying as a business owner myself, I do not take leaving a negative review lightly. However, when investing in something as costly as a home ($1.3m), I feel it's important that I share my experience with others, so they can be informed and make a wise decision on whether to use FBIG. I purchased the new construction package that consisted of four phases of inspections (Phase 1 Pre-Foundation; Phase 2 Pre-Lintel; Phase 3 Pre-Drywall; and Phase 4 Blue Tape Walk Though). Phase 1-3 all went as expected and left me feeling comfortable about my decision to use FBIG and Bryant as the inspector. However, I was totally displeased with the outcome of Phase 4 and the lack of attention to details by my inspector. I reside out of state and was not onsite when Bryant conducted the Blue Tape Inspection. After I received my Blue Tape report, I called the FBIG office and asked if the inspector would reinspect the deficiencies found to ensure the builder corrected the deficiencies and was told I would have to pay $150 for reinspection of 15 deficiencies listed on the report and $500 to reinspect all deficiencies listed on the report. During my initial consultation with the FBIG representative, I was not informed that there would be an additional charge for the inspector to reinspect deficiencies found. Unfortunately, this turned out to be the least of my worries, as when I arrived for closing, five days after the Blue Tape Inspection was completed, I found at least 50 deficiencies that were not listed on my Blue Tape report. The most noteworthy were 45 cracked tiles on the roof of the home. When I called and asked if the roof had been inspected by drone or physically walking the roof, I was told that the inspection was done visually with binoculars. I found this totally unacceptable being that inspecting the roof using a drone or physically walking on the roof should have been a standard part of the Blue Tape Inspection. In addition, to the roof deficiencies, the 2 slider door was not squared and slopped at the top; 8 windows were not squared and were different sizes; cabinets not leveled; window frames missing caps and screws; entry doors gap at the top between frame and door and painting flaws (missed spots or uneven) throughout the house. If you have high expectations for attention to detail when conducting an inspection on your behalf, you may want to consider another company, FBIG fell short! read more

This is a very deceitful company that did not follow through with their promises and tried to charge me twice...... they reached out to me and I gave them the opportunity to correct a problem and they just blew it off..... so I had another company do the reinspection, and was totally satisfied...... I would never recommend this company here for anybody under any conditions..... not only that I told the real estate agent that if they ever ever let me hear of them recommending this company to somebody, I will give them a negative review as they caused me a lot of problems........ by the way the reason why you don't see negative reviews on Facebook..... this place blocks you off of Facebook if you leave a negative review..... another one of their deceptions....... all they did was assure me to stay on yelp forever and drive the message, harder, and every other angle I can find.......
