In fact, about 18 months after beginning, I was able to teach a music clinic in Italy to Italians, mainly in Italian. I have no aptitude for language, and I owe this completely to the school. All I did was simply follow the homework assignments, and practiced a few minutes a day every day. Currently Sylvia is my teacher I had and she is great! The front office is also excellent. They are very accommodating, kind and thoughtful. When I was injured they called me specifically to see how I was doing. The owner is a very nice woman also. They all add a nice personal touch. Classes are affordable and you can take makeups for classes you miss, so the value is excellent. It has been a dream of mine to learn Italian. I highly recommend this school if you live in Los Angeles!

Claudia was immediately available to give me an assessment over the phone and suggested a range from Intermediate 3-5, and let me know I could move up or down if it was too challenging or not enough, walked me through billing etc. She was so sweet and super helpful, correcting my sentences after my attempts to translate what she asked. Thanks Claudia! You are amazing :) So exited to start on Tuesday!

This is the second Kaplan Center I've taken classes at. Let's start with location. Westwood. Lots…read moreof eateries, lots of people, not enough parking. You've got to pay for the meters until 8pm. So if you've got a night class, that means you're paying a bit less. The parking lots have a flat rate of $6 after 5 p.m. Most of the parking on the streets is metered, but if you're lucky, there is some street parking that is free for 2 hours until 8p.m. Once again, that's great for night classes and that's all I can really comment on. The building itself is upstairs and can be accessed from Westwood and Lindbrook. To enter the building you need a code and Kaplan sends that to you via email once you're enrolled in a class. They do that because some homeless people like to wander upstairs...eww, gross. That alone makes me want to give three stars, but the nice location makes up for it. Now mind you, I'm rating this on the building, not my overall experience with Kaplan. Kaplan as a whole is very accomodating whether it's in person or over the phone. The building, compared to Kaplan @ UCSD is dirtier. It's not the dirtiest out there, but it is dirty. There are always tons of international kids so I can imagine it to be very crowded during the day. I'm almost done with my course. Jordan is my instructor and that guy is a laugh, in addition to being very helpful. If you get a chance to be in his class, DO IT!

While attending group English courses in the past was helpful, my English skills have progressed much faster with Jennifer's one on one instruction. I now have much more confidence with the English language. Thank you very much Jennifer!
